Some good acting. If you enjoy wine and a movie where a lot of the focus is around wine and those who enjoy wine, you will probably love the movie. It was entertaining but not outstanding. My wife and I bought it and watch it occasionally. It is a good alternative to some of the garbage on TV.

Paul Giamati is one of a kind, and this film screams that.

You're either a fan of Papadapolous, or you're not. His films are certainly polarizing. If you know what to expect, and you are a fan of his other films, you'll appreciate the improvement in video quality.

Sideways a a very strange but funny movie. It was a high budget film but shot very Indy style. It's definitely a cult classic

Sideways manages to be simultaneously the best buddy AND romantic movie I have ever viewed, and I have viewed it many times. Paul Giamatti and Thomas Haden Church have pitch-perfect chemistry as said buddies Miles and Jack, who are old roommates from college traveling from LA up to Wine Country to celebrate before Jack gets married. Sandra Oh and Virginia Madsen come into the story as Stephanie and Maya and thus starts the romance, or premarital lust in the case of Jack and Steph. Miles and Maya are already acquainted from Miles' lone trips up to the wineries but begin to explore something deeper and more satisfying. All in all, Sideways is a fantastic and original movie that is well worth owning. Buy it now!

this is by far, one of if not thee best movie ive ever seen. everything about it, from the writing, to the amazing soundtrack to the acting is superb! if you have yet to check out this movie, you need to do so. especially if you love wine (or if you are even into wine a little bit) you will love this movie. its hilarious while at the same time heart breaking. it will be hard for a movie to surpass this one on all the level it hits. watch this film!

I have seen this movie a dozen times and it never gets old. If you have not seen it yet, you have to check it out. Paul Giamatti is the main character and you don't know if you should laugh at him or cry. Thomas Haden Church plays his long time friend that is getting married and I think everyone has had a friend like him at some point....they are as different as night and day!!

Honestly, despite Paul Giamatti's dissatisfaction with Merlot....I still like it. One of the funniest scenes in the movie is when he yells about it. This movie got people drinking wine, and you can see why with how passionate these characters and their great acting make the wine culture.

Crowd pleaser - this is a good price, too! No issues with the movie and played perfectly.

I bought the movie because I want to watch it again & again.

Slowest moving movie I've seen in a long time. Couldn't keep with it. The whole plot was disgusting. Believe it or not, there are more things to life than having you know "what" (this would not even allow me to put the 3-letter word in here, but I'm sure you know). I had heard it was boring and that's the truth. The only reason we got it was because we were out in Solvang and wanted to check it out....now it will be in the trash can.
