This movie was so interesting. A very detailed story with a fine cast and beautiful photography. The kind of Scorsese movie I will watch over again!

This drama about the trials of Christians in Japan was a very intense and moving film. It was the core of some interesting conversations about faith.

This movie is very slow, and long. Its not an action movie, theres no cool action scenes. There's a lot of narration, but the movie is good, and has great acting.

Intense drama with gritty scenes of persecution directed toward missionaries in feudal Japan. Leaves you asking questions... What would I do?

I thought the film was very well done. I did not go into it with any great expectations. I was curious about the film as I was familiar with the Shimabara Uprising that occurred during the time period of this film. That being said, it is a serious drama and not an action film. If you expect to see a lot of action -- then this is not the film for you. The film was interesting, but, in my opinion, a little too drawn out. The plot is simple and follows a direct line...to an okay ending. The cinematography was great.

Every so often good old Marty likes to makes these slow burn quite dramas which is what this is. Not Taxi Driver, not even comparable to something NOT his like The Revenant.

Very inspiring movie relating to how hard it was to evangelize during the early years of spreading the Catholic Faith around the world.

Silence is one of the best films of last years, and looks AMAZING on bluray. One cool bonus feature about making of the movie. Love it!

Most people don't know that this is actually a remake, but I liked this more than the 1971 original version.
