One of the best games ever played and scary excellent

One of the best games I’ve ever played and also one of the scariest games.

It's one of the best games that exist at the moment reminds me a lot of my childhood

The game is definitely polished and performs very nicely on my vanilla ps5. Lots of jump scares, and lots of cool and interesting puzzles. It’s a great remake.

If you’re unfamiliar with this series and looking to dive into it - play the original, to learn how this was butchered. As a silent hill devotee, I knew from the beginning this was a doomed release. Despite its critical acclaim, I can’t see the appeal. Blinders maybe? Or willful ignorance of those who want -more- of the thing they love. Konami has done this exact thing before, and previously, they’d failed. (I have a two hour long video on the what, how and why - to be released after I’ve finished all the game has to offer : if you’re an editor email me, I’m moderately popular. Regardless; This time was a success because of people’s short memories, and true fans moving away from the series. I wish I could say this is an “A for effort”, but at its core this is fundamentally flawed. I can appreciate that Ito was able to bring his true designs to life, I can appreciate what the developers -thought- they were doing, but the story of James and Mary is not enhanced via learning about a depressed bartender. This detracts from the story, and shows those developing it think they’re more familiar with a story than the team that first brought it to life. The graphics are beautiful, but at what cost?

I loved every second of it. Don’t hesitate to buy this if you’re a fan of the genre.

Phenomenal recreation of the original masterpiece.

The game recreates the old Silent Hill 2 perfectly with updated graphics and gameplay. It brings back old memories in a good way.

This game is a top tier game for the ps5, if you have a ps5 pro, it has even better visuals and it’s included, if you a fan of silent hill or horrible games this is the one for you. Easily a 20-25 hour play through the first time, and great replay value added.
