I loved this movie!!! Seeing the previews I thought it was about a guy who wrote football plays but it really doesn't have to much to do with football. I say what's not so great about it is it stresses me out just because its a funny/serious movie and the first time I saw it I didn't know if I should laugh or not. But the acting is amazing and the story is great!

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. This isn’t just another chick flick. This is an awesome story about mental health, love, and football. The cast is amazing in this. All of them seem to really go all in on their characters and it definitely shows in this movie. Highly recommend.

I'm not sure if it's a chick flick; I usually hate those. This film has lots of real life realism, great supporting cast and... JENNIFER LAWRENCE. She's more than the it girl. She is this generations Greta Garbo. Perhaps that sounds corny, but her face will be plastered all over Hollywood for decades to come. I recommend this one.

Okay so I am in love with Jennifer Lawrence, I mean who isn't but on a serious note she showed her versatility and I thought Bradley Cooper was pretty awesome too. Chris Tucker provided some comic relief but in a more serious manner than you would be used to seeing him in and DeNiro was DeNiro. Great movie and I would recommend it to everyone

I love this movie. It is so smart and so well acted. It tells a story of two people who are so hurt by the events in their lives, yet they are survivors. It is about realizing that the thing you think you want is not the thing that you really need. What it and enjoy truly wonderful acting by the two leads as well as the supporting cast.

I enjoyed the movie, good story although it had a predictible ending. Jennifer Lawrence is amazing. I had just seen her in Hunger Games and couldn't believe it was the same actress playing someone 10 years older. Robert DeNiro is, of course, a master and always good and I liked the performance of the woman who played his wife.

This is a great movie with a great story and incredible acting performances by Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence. There is a very good reason why it was nominated for many Oscars. It handles the delicate topic of mental heallth with grace and dignity. I won't ruin the movie with spoilers. Just be sure you see this movie.

BEST movie I have seen in quite a long time. It really stays with you...Actors, Plot, Dialog are all aces. Also stands the test of repeated viewings and gets...better. Bradley Cooper shows some serious acting chops & Jennifer Lawrence...well, she is the best young actor working in film at the present time. Period.

Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence have great chemistry together, and it greatly adds to the quality of the film! Recently, I haven't seen too many films I felt were good enough to purchase, but I knew I had to buy it once I rented it. It's funny and has a great story line and never gets boring.

Despite the famous faces and names, the performances are so genuine and the script so real, it feels like a genuine look inside a Philadelphia suburb. Beautiful exploration of mental health and emotional vulnerability. Hilarious and romantic.

This movie was well received by critics and audiences alike and for good reason. It play very real and unscripted. You find yourself abandoned to it and yet reflecting upon yourself at the same time. Nothing seems forced or devicive here. Great acting all around. To be watched again.

The silver lining to buying a DVD at Best Buy is that its pretty simple just to run around he corner, pick up a DVD and check out. Selection is excellent. This is a lot eaiser than the old Blockbuster way. And for the same price I dont have the run the DVD back the next day

Before this movie, I could list 3 that I'd watch over and over again. Now I can list 4 with the addition of Silver Linings Playbook. I don't like giving away parts of the movie so I'll just say it's exhilirating to watch, will make you laugh and sometimes say, "Huh?"

This film was awesome. My daughter actually watched it in her film class in HS, which I disagreed with at first, but def felt it was a good one to learn from. The story is sad, funny, happy and exciting all at once and keeps you tuned in the whole time. It's a must have.

This movie is one of my favorites! It was one of the serious roles for Bradley Cooper before American Sniper. Plus! Who can forget about the new "America's Sweetheart" - Jennifer Lawrence?! Great role for her. This movie has serious and humor in it.

Silver Linings is truly an enjoyable movie from start to finish with a lot of surprises from this great cast....Jennifer Lawrence is beyond outstanding in the movie...and Bradley Cooper will shock you with his unexpected performance ....rest of cast is PERFECT !

The story line takes a while to unfold but by the time the movie ends you'll have rewarded yourself with an engaging and entertaining film. Jennifer Lawrence gives a very satisfying performance. Sit back, relax, grab a cocktail and enjoy yourself.

This movie deals with psychological problems in the most realistic way I've ever seen. It is really inspiring even for people with mental illness. Great acting and writing. One of those rare movies that will make you want to read the book its based on.

I thought it would be a good story when I first heard about it, but the performances by all involved is what sold this movie. I especially liked DeNiro as the father. I thought he gave one of his best perfomances in a long while...subtle, but very memorable.

I really enjoyed this movie. I did not get a chance to see it in theaters and after reading the reviews and seeing all the awards it got, I was very interested in purchasing it. The acting and storyline was amazing. It has become one of my favorite movies.
