I bought two sets of these speakers and within a year one speaker from each set has completely stopped working.

They worked for what we needed. Could be a little louder but overall pleased.

I've had these speakers for a year now and they have held up through rain, heat, snow and extreme cold temperatures. I wasn't sure if speakers this cheap would be able to meet my standards, but I was pleasantly surprised. These speakers are incredible for the price. They look great in the landscaping around my brick patio and have added a great deal of enjoyment to our BBQ's and other outdoor activities. I suggest to anyone looking at outdoor speakers to give these a try before spending 3x the money on other brand names.

Look... I am by no means an electronics experts, so I wont try to bore you with technical jargon. But... if you are looking for an affordable set of cool looking outdoor speakers, than you should not overlook these. I was given an older Sony receiver with intentions of hooking up more of a permanent sound system when hanging out in the back yard. So I did some research and gave myself a budget of $100.00 and then came across this set on sale ($49.99 / July 5th 2015), and went down to my local BB with my boys in Saratoga Springs first thing when they open. When the doors opened, I gave them a quick look see, then I made the mistake to ask one of the electronic associates... whom said that they were not good and that you get what you pay for. So I went back and forth with a different set of speakers, then my oldest son said lets try these out. We took them home and hooked them up and voila! They really sounded great- even with the 1989 Sony receiver. They are definitely worth the $100.00 and at the price I paid for them... they were a fantastic bargain!

These little rocks, rocked my world after I hooked them up! First impressive thing about these speakers; the design. + Not only are they pretty well weighted, they bare a remarkable resemblance to a real rock! Stack a couple of real stones next to them and you'd never know the difference! + The sound quality is pristine, for the price range that is. I have never heard this high of quality from such a cheap speaker. You can get some serious volume out of these speakers too! + Another neat feature is that they have a bolt anchor on their bottom side. This is great for locking them down in preperation for severe weather. + I have purchased two pairs of these speakers for my yard and would highly recommend them to anyone that is looking for serious sound out of a little rock!

We have had these speakers for nearly three years now and they have endured two winters and lot s of rain. We played them on winter nights while in our hot tub, and only on the coldest, below zero nights did they sound a little stressed just like a car speaker would when it's very cold. Otherwise they are loud, clear and full of bass. We couldn't be happier with them and are even purchasing another set for another project. They look and work great and are still going strong.

Had these speakers 2 weeks and used 4 times before one speaker blew. Very poor quality sound. Very cheap if looking for cheap all around.

I've gone though two sets of these. Best Buy did replace the first set that went bad in first six months and now that set is bad too.. if you aren't leaving these in the weather they might last better however mine are outside around my pool...

I purchased 2 pairs of these 3 years ago @ $100 a pair from BB. Last Winter mother nature killed one. I was excited to see them on sale for just $65/pair. so i replaced the damaged one. These are great speakers if you can do the wired. For me i ran 1/2" Flexible Electrical PVC Conduit from my garage which houses the tuner to 4 of these speakers around the yard. If you are looking to listen to Pink Floyd and feel the trippyness in your yard, these are not for you. If you are looking for good to very good stereo sound and not break the bank take a shot. The other sites like Miniprice and Emezon charge twice the cost for a pair.

I think these speakers are neat for the deck seating area.

The speakers have decent sound. The bass is pretty good. For the price you can't beat the sound quality. My wife and I bought 2 pairs (4 speakers) for around our pool / patio. We would have been fine with only 2. Thats' how loud they get. I had to connect one pair to a 150ft run of wire, and they still sound good coming all that way from the receiver. We are very pleased. If they hold up to the weather I will be even happier. Go ahead and buy these!

I was a little uncertain how these (or really any speakers) would sound after being connected at the end of approximately 120 ft of speaker wire. I connected these to the second zone on my Denon receiver with a volume control in between and am more than happy with the quality of the sound as well as the max volume level. I did not use the speaker wire that came with the speakers, I used 14 Gauge speaker wire instead based on where I wanted them installed. Great speakers for a very good price!

I had a pool party recently and had issues with the sound. with just a single set of speakers, if I turned it up loud enough to be heard in the pool, the people between the pool and the speakers couldn't talk over the sound and when I turned it down, it couldn't be heard in the pool. I read the other reviews and they were very positive. One of the reviewers recommended getting two pair for better balance over the whole yard area and I would have to agree that if you can swing it, it is best to get two pair. The speakers have very good mid and high range response and the happen to blend in very well with the other rocks we have in the yard. The bass is as good as you can get based on the price and size. I ended up hooking up a sub woofer along with these speakers and that solved the problem. I got them for 99 per pair which seems like a good value to me based on their performance.

I purchased these speakers based on the great reviews that they recieved. These speakers really are great! They sound fantastic and look wonderful in my backyard. I can get these plenty loud for my entire backyard, but they can also be played at a low level and you can still enjoy the high, mid, and low frequencies of the music. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for outdoor sound. Each speaker has a 3ft speaker cable (approx.)and then It comes with (1) 50ft speaker cable (which you could cut to accomodate varying lenghts), so be prepared to buy additional outdoor speaker wire if you don't plan on putting these close to your reciever or stereo. I had to buy another 50 ft so I could run my up the side of my house, through the attic, and back down through the wall behind my entertainment center to hook up to my reciever.

I bought two pair of these speakers for my new patio. All four speakers cost less than one of the name brand. The rock look fits in well with the stone patio and the landscaping around it. The sound is really amazing for the cost of the product. I would recommend these if you want to save money and still get a top quality product.

I've waited to review these until now to see how they would hold up outside. Well, I've had them for 2 years now and have no problems with them. I live in Wisconsin and bring them in for the winter, but leave them out from spring until fall in the rain and all other conditions. Can't beat the sound or duribility for the price, well worth it.

Dont waste your money on any other outdoor speaker system....really! I was very concerned about wether this was going to be a quality product because of the price....I was thinking, I'm getting two speakers for less than half the cost of other systems I was considering (Polk).....and I'm getting 50' of outdoor speaker wire (50' x approx $.50 per foot) and free shipping (approx $25) for less than a 100 bucks....just how good can they be??? Well let me tell you...I am impressed.....I got 6 rock speakers for less than the pair of satellite and sub system I was considering and I truly believe I didn't give up any quality of sound. Now my intire pool/yard area is submerged with sound. It's awesome. They feel solid from the moment you remove them from the box. Believe all the positive ratings, for they are the reason I gave this product a chance. Only complaint is that I wish I could have bought them in tan, rather then grey.....besides that...totally satisfied.

Was in the market for a set of rock speakers and after some hesitation since these were so cheap, I finally decided to order based on past reviews. I am glad that I went with my gut instincts because these sound very nice. They are lacking bass, but I wouldn't expect that from a set of outdoor speakers anyway. I have these hooked up to Zone 2 on my Onkyo HT-RC160 and my back yard sounds awesome now. I was shocked to also find about 50 ft of insulated speaker wire in the box in the day and age when everything costs extra.

I bought these to use with my outdoor theatre. Very impressed with the sound quality from these small speakers. Awesome value.
