I was looking forward to Sling bc they advertised the ability to receive local channels, but have not been able to receive any local channels using the app. The only way I got local channels was to get an indoor antenna. It was a convenient way for me to get my sports channels though now that I have given up on cable.

As part of my cord cutting process I purchased sling. Biggest test was to see if I can watch the Super Bowl in its entirety with commercials. Test passed, cable gone forever. Didn’t reload once. Great product to stream what you want when you want. Just check available channels you’d get with sling as opposed to other services.

Pretty decent package overall, although my choices for programming are not entirely aligned with Sling's, it was good enough to warrant the expenditure, in my opinion. As my choices for programming are probably relatively unique, and much more science and learning oriented, I may not be the ideal guide to follow.

This service was provided to me free for purchasing a Roku stick. This was my first time using Sling TV. I did not know what to expect. I decided to keep Sling TV after my free trial. I enjoy having the Guide feature on Sling. I added a few additional packages to my Sling service and I still pay less than Spectrum/TWC.

When I tried Sling TV, I also had a free trial for DirecTVNow. Between the 2 interfaces and channel offering I greatly prefer the DirecTVNow. The interface on Sling is Dark, bulky, and the only way to change the channel is to leave what you are currently watching. With the DirecTVNow I was presented a semi-transparent layover for the guide menu. It was also nice because I could channel surf by using the arrows on the roku remote (without having to view the guide). This feature by itself is enough to make me prefer the other. For the price and the quantity and quality of channels that you receive, Sling TV CAN'T be beat. Don't get me wrong, Sling is a great service and more than worth the amount they charge for it, but I would be willing to pay a little bit more if they cleaned up their UI a bit and made it easier to go through the guide.

Works well without buffering or connection issues. Sometimes gets stuck or freezes and have to get back into Sling. Don’t know if it’s an issue with Sling or Roku. 135M internet connection used with 3 streams. I am sure this speed is way beyond the minimum needed to have 3 trouble free sling streaming connections.

I started trying to find a good location for the best reception. Once I found the best location I hung the antenna using the holes at the corners of the antenna. All stations are 45+ miles away in the same direction and I was able to get good reception on all of the 4 major networks except one.

It all depends on what you watch. If you can find a package with channels you want, it can be a good value. Be careful if you want to cancel, you have to cancel before your next month renews and if you cancel even a day past you lose the service but you still have to pay for the whole month

I originally had no interest in using it as I was happy with my TV provider. When my bill went up again, I finally decided to to try Sling out. I don't watch a lot of different stations so this is a great option for me. I am only paying $30 a month and $50 for internet, where as before I was paying $135, which was a bundle price. The fact that I get DVR service for $5/month is awesome, and you can purchase separately $100 an Air TV box and get Local channels through the Sling App for no additional monthly charge, just tops it off. If you are like me and want to cut the cord because you you pay a high price and don't watch most of the channels that you get, This is possibly the best route to go. I know Direct TV has something similar, but I have not used it, so I cannot compare the two. However, I am perfectly happy with Sling.

I had this product for less than a week, so my review is based on a very short time frame. We had to return the product because we changed our mind and purchased an Apple TV instead. The time we had it, the product worked well, even though I wasn't so happy with the image quality.

The only reason I did not give 5 stars is my issues with the remote. I feel that the remote is too light and just does not feel comfortable in my hand. The up/down/side arrows are down too far on the device and I have dropped it several times trying to change channels.

Yep - I bought it as a gift, and the son says it's "the ticket". I'll defer to the younger generation to provide any technical details - all I know is the kid is happy, so I'm happy, which means I can go out on my boat knowing all is well with the world. :)

This SlingTV trial was very helpful in finding out how well the service would work for me. I live in the country with a slow internet connection, I was able to see how well it would work with this extended trial. SlingTV is excellent, my internet speed is not.

Trying to save on TV. Don't watch a lot of shows, gave sling a try. Same issues most have. No local channels, bundles with useless channels just to get the one or two you want. The service is fast, reliable, easy to set up and exactly as described.

Sling offered trial version and worked as advertised. The DVR function is what makes this great! You can Arch on any device and access DVR recorded stuff. There is also on demand stuff available. The only con is the menu is a little all over the place.

Sling is a great service and way better than monopolized cable or satellite TV. However, 4 stars because Best Buy did not print the applicable promo code on my receipt and it was a headache to deal with Sling's new and developing customer service chat.

I enjoyed having a trial of those service but I found it to be a bit tedious. The channels seemed to repeat themselves a lot so it felt like you’d be paying a premium for the same channels at a basic level. Not my first choice but also not horrible.

Had problem with WI FI signal strength after 1 week of good reception. Got on chat line, but your agent could not solve the issue. She then requested a review of her assistance and was disappointed I didn't give her a smiley face.

HI had a great experience shopping at Best buy Anaheim purchased my 55 inch vizio and I like , this is truly a smart tv and the inputs and outputs make it easy to use . I am also playing games with it and the picture is great.
