If you want to "cut the cord" and have a solid internet connection, Sling can be a great option. There's a strong selection of channels and options to build a fairly affordable package, and Cloud DVR service is available. If you want local channels, you will need an antenna, something that isn't really well covered, but otherwise you can get almost anything you would get from the Cable company, for less.

We’re finally receiving more local channels. They are also coming in withHD quality.

It works and it is easy to use. Here are some filler words for the review.

I don't have cable, but still wanted to be able to view local news stations. From where I am at, I can pick up about 20+ channels. Most I don't watch, but its great if you want to watch local networks, kids programming, shopping channels and a few others. The HD networks are HD even with the Antenna.

I have actually had SlingTV for a few years now. It's okay, but it's a tweener service. It has channels instead of streams, so only some things are on demand - but it doesn't have a lot of channels either, so it's not really good at either thing. I have been thinking of dumping it for Spectrum's 10 channels for $20 offer since that would allow me locals - which Sling can't offer (hence why it's bundled with an HDTV antenna). Locals are more valuable since I live in a spot where broadcast reception is iffy and sometimes it would be nice to watch football on my phone without an additional subscription from the NFL (after all, why pay all these different fees for all these different use cases)? Anyway to me Sling is good for ESPN and so my wife can watch HGTV. Beyond that it's got about 20 other channels we don't really want or need, since we mostly watch services like Netflix and Hulu. If what you really want is channels instead of services, you're probably better off with cable or satellite.

Cable feels like ancient technology once you use sling. Cable companies are trying to catch up but Sling is way ahead in every way. Person of any age can figure out how to use sling. Extremely intuitive and easy to use. Quality is mind blowing and it has all the features you can ask for and then more.

For someone who wants to go sans cable and wants local stations, this antenna is great! It's VERY easy to install right out of the package, can be painted to match wall color if needed and provides a decent amount of local stations (although we are not able to get NBC for some reason) ... The closer you can get it to a window the better.

As part of my cord cutting process I purchased sling. Biggest test was to see if I can watch the Super Bowl in its entirety with commercials. Test passed, cable gone forever. Didn’t reload once. Great product to stream what you want when you want. Just check available channels you’d get with sling as opposed to other services.

I’m working on cutting cable out of my life. This was the first step and it turned out to be a good one. This antenna lives up to the manufacturers claim. Excellent reception, easy to hook up, nice looking product. I’m very happy with it.

I started trying to find a good location for the best reception. Once I found the best location I hung the antenna using the holes at the corners of the antenna. All stations are 45+ miles away in the same direction and I was able to get good reception on all of the 4 major networks except one.

I originally had no interest in using it as I was happy with my TV provider. When my bill went up again, I finally decided to to try Sling out. I don't watch a lot of different stations so this is a great option for me. I am only paying $30 a month and $50 for internet, where as before I was paying $135, which was a bundle price. The fact that I get DVR service for $5/month is awesome, and you can purchase separately $100 an Air TV box and get Local channels through the Sling App for no additional monthly charge, just tops it off. If you are like me and want to cut the cord because you you pay a high price and don't watch most of the channels that you get, This is possibly the best route to go. I know Direct TV has something similar, but I have not used it, so I cannot compare the two. However, I am perfectly happy with Sling.

Wasn't sure Sling TV would meet my viewing needs, but I was pleasantly surprised. I selected the blue plan that provides 40 channels, most of the ones watched with cable. Nothing is missed and reception is great.

This SlingTV trial was very helpful in finding out how well the service would work for me. I live in the country with a slow internet connection, I was able to see how well it would work with this extended trial. SlingTV is excellent, my internet speed is not.

Trying to save on TV. Don't watch a lot of shows, gave sling a try. Same issues most have. No local channels, bundles with useless channels just to get the one or two you want. The service is fast, reliable, easy to set up and exactly as described.

Sling offered trial version and worked as advertised. The DVR function is what makes this great! You can Arch on any device and access DVR recorded stuff. There is also on demand stuff available. The only con is the menu is a little all over the place.

I bought this last minute on Black Friday while I was in the store for another purchase. My husband was delighted when he got it. The sound is outstanding, set up is easy. Very pleased with quality.

HI had a great experience shopping at Best buy Anaheim purchased my 55 inch vizio and I like , this is truly a smart tv and the inputs and outputs make it easy to use . I am also playing games with it and the picture is great.
