This movie is not your usual western. I was actually surprised many times during the movie. Not every die hard old school western fan will dig this film, but it's worth a watch.

It's funny, offbeat, gorgeous and delightful. Truly a surprising and fast movie. Packaging is good but there is still the eternal issue of the best buy sticker on the dust cover.

One of the better westerns of recent years (albeit without much competition) and sees Michael Fassbender doing his best Eastwood impression. A lot is thrown into this picture - a fable, unrequited love, plenty of gun violence and a budding friendship arc, but it doesn't always tie together as tightly as a noose. Still, the performances are solid with Fassbender and Ben Mendelsohn showing off their squinty eyed talents. Worth a buy when the price is right. Technically, the video and audio are quite good.

pulls you right into the story with beautiful cinematography, great characters, and slight humor that you might miss if you are not paying attention. It is a movie that got missed by the general public but succeeds as a terrific movie that will hopefully find an audience on video...the trailer hooked me when I saw it on IMDB and believe it or not I would have paid money to see it in theaters vs. some of the big time Hollywood summer blockbusters that just don't interest me anymore!

Recent Westerns have been slower than a typical Hollywood movie (like The Homesman) but well worth the watch. I'd recommend it if you like modern Westerns.

This movie was just so beautifully shot and it all felt so real. Gave a glimpse into the hardships people faced living during these times.

Westerns are rarely made nowadays, it when they do come along they are great, as in the case of Slow West. Great humor with memorable characters and exciting action makes this a must own for any fans of good story telling and Westerns.
