You might not need one

Once we pulled the old dryer out I realized I could have taken the cord off the old dryer.....that being said, never hurts to replace all cords and hoses every13-years

OK cord

The reason dryers do not come with a dryer cord is because of building codes, Homes built before 1996 use a 3 prong cord and home built after 1996 use a four prong cord. The manufacture of the dryers do not know which style cord you will need. That is why you have to buy a cord. The same thing with Ranges as the same building code applies as to which cord style you need.
