There is no "whistling" sound from the line which can be common with other lines. The package came with all necessary adaptors. Do not let the double male fitting fool you. There is a female 3/8 threaded connection INSIDE the 1/2 threaded male side that you screw onto your 3/8 inch appliance. Pros silent, flexible yet sturdy, quality coating, all necessary parts included

The bright yellow color makes the gas line highly visible and easy to distinguish from other connections.
