The kit is for easy installation but need different connectors for different size of supply line that you have, otherwise, you need to buy extra line at home improvement stall. That is what happen to me, and I have to take 1 extra trip to the local Home Depot to purchase the quick connect and the job completed in 5min.

This kit contains everything except a new turnoff valve. This makes sense because there are varying shapes to choose from depending upon where it is installed. Suggest getting an estimate for water hookup from a private plumber and compare that to the store's special plumbing price. The delivery guys are not plumbers and 98% of the time refuse to do the hookup because they are not plumbers and don't know how even if the salesman says it is included. This will save you frustration and time when the refrigerator is delivered. Even if you have a turnoff valve already, it is probably more than 10 years old and not "adequate" for the delivery guys to use.

Item was required with the purchase of the frig, just one of those things you have to have if purchased the frig. It works. I don't see it because it is in back of the frig and frig is too big for me to move out by myself.

I needed a water line for my new refrigerator. I could've used the one that was there as it seemed perfectly fine but it made sense to me too replace the line as well in case something went wrong and they tried too blame the old line. Anyway, everything is working just fine.

This Refrigerator Waterline Hook-Up Kit is much sturdier than the one we had previously. It should hold up for a long time, the previous refrigerator we had lasted 17 years or so.
