It was nice to have it included with the purchase so I don't need to worry about it. the installers new this product so it was easy for them to install.

Did not know if I need it ...

I wanted to make sure that there was no delay in the delivery and installation process of our new fridge.And, we actually need this part to replace the old connection. BUT I also knew, that it was very easy to return the part if it was not necessary.

I'm glad Best Buy carries this. Other places charge an arm and and a leg for this, but Best Buy has it for a reasonable price.

Does the job

The only difference I can tell from the plastic water lines is that it is harder to manipulate. My water line is run through the base board out of the basement. So, this was a little tricky to maneuver into the right spot but all around a great product.

It works very well and is much quieter than the one in my old house. . It was easy to return and I understand Best Buy requiring it be purchased with a new fridge so delivery will be sure to have what they need. The team who delivered this were fantastic!
