Boy I’m so glad I did as the one the owners left was much too short for my fridge. So glad BestBuy suggested the purchase.

Made it super easy to connect to water line

I was connecting to an existing copper tubing that was 10-12 feet of coiled up mess. I cut the tubing on each end and spliced it into a shut-off valve. So now I can turn off the water while behind the fridge.

So I did the water connection by and for myself. The part was there for installations that may need it. As in new installation or one that did not have water.
