It's basically a hose. It works great for its purpose. I can't complain about functionality. Best Buy required a stainless steel water line for their install team to perform the install of our refrigerator. Our old water line would have worked fine. I think it's a rule just to get you to buy a new water line.

My last fridge, a Samsung, did not last more than 8 years, so I really didn't need another hook-up kit. But this kit is "free" with the price of the delivery + installation. The delivery and install guys were great, and this hook-up kit has technically worked fine for 2 refrigerators now.

As it turned out, I was able to use my existing waterline and didn't need the kit. The Samsung refrigerator was installed about 6 weeks ago and is working beautifully so far. I like the layout of a bottom freezer and french door fridge so much better than my previous side-by-side. Lots of useful space. The circulation is good, keeping all areas of the refrigerator at a consistent temp. I also like the water pitcher included inside better than my previous "in the door" option - and don't miss the crushed ice at all. The pitcher refills quickly and there is no drippy mess on the outside of the fridge anymore. Ice maker is initially slow, but now keeps up with our usage just fine. The fingerprint-proof finish on the stainless is just so-so. So far my only complaint is the minimal adjustability of the shelves. Not enough choices there.

It was my first time buying a new fridge so i wasn't sure what the purpose of thia item was or even how to install it. Thankfully, i opted for delivery and installation so the representatives wrre ablr to help me install it. I would put N/A for ease of use because i definitely didnt know what to do with it. But it was very needed because my old waterline didn't accommodate the new fridge.

Water line kit seemed to be working fine. The Best Buy installers got it in quickly and we’ve had no problems so far. Worth it to not have em be bothered with installing it ourselves.

Our plumber recommended a braided stainless steel waterline rather than the cheap plastic variety. The kit included everything we needed to get our new refrigerator connected.

The water line was very easy to install didn't need them to do it.

Very good waterline, but don't commit the same mistake as I did - verify the connection tip on both this product and the water nibble on your kitchen to make sure they fit. The installation tech had to make some adjustments to make mine work, which you can avoid by verifying both connections and buying a 5 dollar connection at a hardware store if needed.
