This was required to go with the ice maker. It was very easy to hook up. I’m pretty sure even I could’ve done it myself. Ice maker works like a champ!

Be aware one can overtighten the fitting and ring off the male mating part. There should be instructions to tighten the fitting and compress the o-ring seal. Like hand tighten then turn 1/4 to 1/2 turn. Does not take much. After I had installed the fridge it was removed to install new flooring. The guy putting in new flooring went to reinstall and rung off the brass male threads on the valve in the wall. He did an excellent job of putting in a anew valve.

So far so good and no complaints. It's not a product that I use on a daily basis so I can't make an assumption on that. Installed super easy and no leaks I'm very happy.

I almost didn't get this as I thought my existing copper line would be OK, but after pulling the old refrigerator out, the copper line got crimped and developed a pinhole that was squirting water. So I was glad I had this one as once I cut the copper line off below the pinhole, it was too short. This one worked like a champ to connect from the existing copper line, which was now at floor level, to the refrigerator.

So, our new beautiful, black stainless refrigerator with the Family Hub arrives for hook up and we of course, have a water leak at the wall valve. Got that fixed and hedged our bets to also install our new waterline (which is actually required by Best Buy to go with all new refrigerators they sell) kit, just to be on the safe side. It was super easy, and we had our beautiful new fridge up and the family each trying to get their time playing on the Family Hub and all it can do - which is actually, amazing things & we just love it!

This kit was so easy to install. Works great! It would be nice for the fridges to come with these kits, but regardless, this kit is great.
