This was easy to install and set up on my new refrigerator. Glad it was metal vs a plastic.

We had previously installed a 8’ waterline directly from under the sink and ran it through the bottom cabinets to reach the fridge water line. This hose was too small but at the tome of purchse it was added in case it was needed. We also had pushback from the installers saying they couldn’t use our pre existing water line because they “needed” a faucet close to the fridge in order for them to install this hose line. The hose looks good but we didn’t need it

The water line is strong stainless steel and, unlike rubber, plastic, or some cord-like material, this SS water line will NOT crack. Get it and don't give it a second thought. Same type of stuff you need connected to your clothes washing machine.

I wasn't going to purchase this but after quick consideration I decided stainless had to be better than copper...and I think I made the right decision...copper can tend to have stale taste after awhile and it kinks very easily and can break and that would not be good...this line is flexible and won't kink or break...
