When asked what's the difference between this waterline and one I could just buy at Home Depot, the customer reps at Best Buy couldn't answer this question. They made it sound like this is a water like that is specific to the LG refrigerator, which I highly doubt is the case. It's just a 1/4" inlet/outlet, like the cheaper, universal versions at Home Depot. Those are even longer than this 6' version. Some are 12' feet for $17, as of this writing. Of course, this is particular line is made of stainless steel, compared to the braided plastic material that the lower costs at HD ones are made out of, which might explain why it cost almost $29.99. I had thought about getting my own water line but decided against it for this reason: 1. How silly to save $12 when I've already paid $2200 for the refrigerator and another $40 for them to set up the refrigerator, including the waterline install. 2. I might as well let them worry about the waterline install, including all the fittings they will need, as they've done this a thousands times already. If I mix it up by introducing my own waterline, the installers may get annoyed.

I used to have a GE profile before which gave up just after 5 years. Home warranty guys repaired few times and even replaced compressor with no luck. So I replaced it with Samsung. Features such as Family Hub are way over advanced in comparison to competing products at a reasonable price point. After few weeks of usage, I realized that I made an excellent choice. My plus points are 1. Brought a new look to kitchen. 2. Family hub is useful. Even if you do not use all features, how convenient and beautiful to play photo album there. 3. LED Screen is very good size and display attracts everybody 4. Quiet operation. 5. Bought Geek Squad warranty for 3 years for peace of mind. 6. Water tasted good with good filter and Ice is enough for family. 7. Buying at Best Buy store is a good deal as they not only price matched but lot of perks advised and added. Very Happy with my buying experience. Their scheduled delivery and installation is as fast as next day or within the week. What else we need in a Fridge. I got everything better so far. It has plenty of storage, Shiny Stainless steel and looks marvelous

OK, so waterline kits for a new refrigerator aren't exactly exciting or even seen once installed. But this is a high quality stainless steel waterline kit and it should stand the test of time. If you spend a lot of money on your refrigerator, don't cheap out on a vinyl waterline kit, which can degrade over time and worse, could flood your kitchen.

This product is definitely an upgrade from the old plastic piping... No problems and looks great....

House water line was too large for the refrigerator line but the tech went to a local hardware store nearby and purchased the needed converter so the installation could be completed the same day without requiring a return appointment on a later date. Also, techs did a great job of moving existing old refrigerator into my laundry room next to the kitchen and were very careful not to scratch new vinyl flooring.

Brings water to the refrigerator , hasn't burst yet. No leaks.

Arrived early as scheduled; unfortunately blocked a driveway and neighbor was upset, yet truck driver did revise parking so neighbor could get out of garage. The Whirlpool refrigerator was not damaged and is working well. Two men spoke Spanish/Mexican and removed the old refrigerator and installed the new one. Did not understand most of what they said.

Great connectors on each end. Durable.Could be a little longer to connect to water lines in basement.
