My previous dryer was only 3 years old, and a new vent was installed then. Even though the sale of the vent was required with the sale of the dryer, the installers for my new dryer determined that this vent was not needed, and saved me some $$. Well done, Best Buy!

You need to replace this Dryer Vent when you brought a new dryer. The old one cannot be reused since there is lint build up inside that could be fire hazard. This unit is wonderful

I was surprised to find out that you had to buy a dryer vent set when you got a new dryer. You have two choices: cheap, white and plastic or this set. I got this set as not only does it look nicer, but the ins company prefers it for your insurance premium. Lasts longer too.

Had this installed along with the new dryer. Was very helpful having it installed by the delivery guys to have it all done at the same time. So much better than the flex venting that seemed to catch bits of lint.

The dryer vent kit worked for the dryer we purchased it for. I wish I could have gotten a flexible one though so the dryer could have been moved over in my laundry room.

A quality dryer vent - the dryer is huge and efficient and good looking. The whole system and set up may cost a bit more than the others but you can do twice the laundry in it, so you use 1/2 the energy! Buy it - its good. No wait, its great!

We knew we already needed to buy parts to hook up our washer and dryer, and Best Buy let us know that if we purchased their recommended parts then they would have a team come out a do a free installation. It was a no brainer for us.

Be sure to check for proper fit. This set was smaller than the one I already had in my house. I had to buy an additional part to ensure there was no gap due to the smaller size.

This vent is rigid where it connects to the dryer. My only issue is this prevents you from pushing the dryer closer to the wall. But the rigidity helps with airflow and prevents the vent from getting squashed.

The vent kit has everything you need to hook up you dryer. At first I thought what is all of this stuff. But in the long run I use everything. So very helpful.

Best Buy associates forced me to purchase this with the new dryer saying installers wouldn't complete hookup without it. Installers said the existing one we had was better than this one and installed the existing so I could return this one.

I'm mostly doing this review for the bonus rewards points, but we used this to connect the Samsung washer and drying combo I purchased. No problems with leaking or installation since Best Buy did the installation. Been working for a month now with no complaints.

i had the hookups for washer on the right and dryer on the left, but doors of modern washers open only to the left, so i had to install washer and dryer in opposite places. this means the vent had to stretch almost 5feet and it still works great

I only have few requirements for a dryer vent kit other than that the build quality feel solid, the construction is all metal, and the attachments are effective when hooking up to the dryer. It met all my requirements.

This is recommended when I made my dryer purchase. I was glad to have it. The old one I was replacing was full of lint. I'm glad I didn't have to clean it out.
