Cover for my new iPad, covers the iPad, even has a strap to keep it closed. Best thing to say about a product like this, is that it does what I bought it to do. Oh, yes, and its red!

I was a bit dubious about this partial cover when I bought it but it protects the screen and provides an easy stand.it is also light weight and it fits so neatly in my briefcase. I am pleased

The typical criticism of Apple first party accessories is that they’re too expensive. This was certainly true for owners of previous generation iPads who purchased the leather smart case. However, that case provided all around, full body scratch protection (drop protection was debatable) with minimal bulk. As I was researching a case for my new 2018 iPad, most of the products seemed to be either too bulky, made of cheap material, or lacking a soft lining for the back of the iPad. Weight minimalism was especially important because I was upgrading from a 7.9 inch Mini to the larger 9.7 inch model. I’m happy I gave the Smart Cover a try. First of all the dark gray color pairs nicely with the black bezel, space gray iPad — it’s a sleek, sophisticated but unshowy look. Secondly, the outside of the cover has a very premium feel. It’s soft and smooth with a subtle almost cloth-like texture that allows just enough grip in your hand. The inside cover has a microfiber lining that will keep your glass screen protected. The microfiber does collect dust, so you will have to clean it occasionally with a lint roller. Third, the magnet on the hinge is fairly strong. Once the cover snaps onto the iPad, it doesn’t come off easily. When the cover is folded into a triangle, it turns into a stand that is stable enough on flat surfaces. The main concern for this product would be the lack of backside protection. Two ways to deal with this: when not using your iPad, just lay it face down on the cover side. When using your iPad and you fear the surface is dirty or could potentially cause a scratch, you can reverse the cover flap all the way back and your aluminum side will be fully covered. If your going to buy the Smart Cover, I would recommend Best Buy for sure. The price is better than the Apple store and Amazon has developed a reputation for having counterfeit Apple accessories on their marketplace platform. Doing an online order for in-store pick up is very convenient and fast. I don’t know how durable the Smart Cover will be over the long term, but for now I find this premium, minimal weight cover to be worth a buy.

I was wishing the case wrapped around the whole iPad. However it is light and protects the screen.

Great cover for the iPad. Thin, lightweight, and can be quickly removed. Only protects the front but that’s the most important part anyway.

I purchased a Smart Cover for my first iPad 6 years ago . It is still in excellent condition. When I recently received another iPad as a gift, I immediately ordered a Smart Cover. It is durable as well as easy to use..

My previous cover lasted for several years, but since I carry it everyday and stand it up when at my desk or table, it was really well worn. I am thankful to find another one that fits perfectly.

Fits perfectly, is lightweight and dark blue cover is distinctive and looks pro. My first one is 3 years old and good as new but I am tired of black. Will gift it to friend.

I've only had this for a month or so...it's good for protecting the screen...it does not cover the back so if that is what you want, this is about the only product that does so. It attaches to the left side of the ipad by a magnetic strip. The cover itself folds into thirds and can be re-positioned on the back...out of the way. I've had two of these for the ipad mini and all of them eventually pulled apart...the front cover from the magnetic strip which is connected by a plastic webbing which is glued to both...it is an amazing glue they use but it eventually pulls apart... which it did for me anyway. I'm using on of those round adhesive gizmos on the back to hold the pad itself so as not but much strain on the cover. It is not heavy duty and is light and I like it...for what it is it seems a bit pricey to me but what isn't these days.

I picked the gray iPad cover to match my new Space Gray iPad, and while perhaps not an exact match, it looks good and works well as a cover and as a stand.

Cover works well for protecting screen during casual use. You may want something more substantial if you are really rough on your iPad. It is magnetized on one end to hold it in place and trifolds back to create a triangular shape that allows you to stand your iPad up. I had this same cover on an older iPad and really liked it for its simplicity and ease of use.

My wife has had a smart cover on her IPad for years, so I bought the same thing for my new IPad. It easily snaps onto the IPad and covers the screen when the IPad is not in use. A main advantage is that it is thin and does not add very much bulk to the IPad like a complete case might. Also, it can be folded in a way that it can prop up the IPad for viewing.

It was a good purchase. Fits well into my iPad. Easy to install

I had a black leather cover for my old iPad. This one is flashy and easy to find. Works just fine.

Fits securely, lightweight, magnet closes with a satisfying snap. Two folding positions for the stand, a lower angle for maybe working at a desk and a higher angle for sitting back and watching something. I feel this is a good case for the money.

Light weight and good quality. I love the product.
