I have always wanted to try out a drone however wanted something entry level as I was worried of crashing it. I came across this drone with a good price point so decided to try it out. I am so glad that I did as it was very easy to setup, get started and comes with easy to use software. Out of the box it was very easy to setup by expanding the wings and the antennas. There is an area to place your phone as you will be using it as your main viewer when it comes to the camera. The wings felt well made and snaps into place without much force. As for the controller, all the buttons are simple pressed, there are 2 wheels at the top that are snug so feel like they will last. The joysticks on the controller have short range of motion without much resistance. There is a battery charge indicator on the controller which is nice to know where its at. Speaking of the battery , both the battery for the drone and the battery for the controller seems to have lasted for quite some time. I was very impressed of how many hours I was able to run it. My guess was due to how light the device is, it does not take much energy to fly. Another huge plus is that this drone comes with an extra battery pack which helps you remain outside flying for longer. The video and picture quality was good, not extremely impressive however I under this is an entry level unit so didn't expect extreme quality. Depending if you have an SD card , it can go up to 1080p picture / recordings. If you do not have an SD card inserted it scales down to 720p. The pictures save within the application and is easy to access if you are not using an SD card. Speaking of the application, it was very easy to use and provided a lot of onscreen features. My favorite is the voice commands, that was fun to use. The drone comes with some pre-set fly patterns which was very cool to watch with an easy click of a button.
Overall this is a great drone for those who wish to try drones out. A huge plus was including an extra battery and spare propellers. I definitely recommend this product!

I'm not trying to convence you to go buy a drone, but I think I'm trying to get you to go get one. Especially if you're new to the drone game. This Snaptain E10 is one of the easiest access, pick-up and play drone I have ever had the pleasure of piloting. Snaptain has a reputaion of making amazing drones. From professional, novice, all the way down to kid friendly drones that you can pick up for that little Amilia Airheart in your life. I'm just going to jump in and tell you what's in the box. You get the fully fuctioning E10 Drone with a 1080p camera. 1 charging cable for charginng both, your batteries(2) and pilot controller. Yes. 2 batteries. An extra set of propellers, and 4 propeller guards. Extra screws and a miniature screwdriver. And it's all packed together in it's own carrying case. This is pretty sweet. You'll have to use an app( as with everything these days) to connect to the drone on your phone , so you can navigate and see what it is that you are filming or taking photos of. But I have to say that my favorite part is the ability to just lift off with just one button and it'll just hover like 3 feet in the air. The controls are easy to use( Heck. I did it.). Ther's even a guide on the controller to help you understand what things do. This is a small Drone. It fits in most people's palms so it will not be safe to fly in windy conditions. But in the right weather, it is a blast. I feel like a pro(which I'm absolutely not) when I'm flyng this.
I really want you give you a reason to not get one of these, but I can't.( Don't play with this inside unless you're a skilled pilot.) At this price, it's the perfect gift for you or your novice friends and or family. The only prroblem I had was connecting my wifi the first time. But other than that, I feel kinda like a boss when I deal with this thing. There are better drones out there, but this price makes it a great starter unit.
Get one.

The Snaptain E10 Drone is my first drone and I have waited for this moment for a long time.
I received the drone and promptly started to charge up the batteries and the controller to make sure everything is fully charged. I then started reading the instructions, downloaded the app, and watched tutorial video for the drone.
The next day after work, I was ready for my first drone flight. It was a little windy outside and the instructions stated not to fly in windy conditions, so I decided not to fly it too high.
I went to the backyard and mostly stayed within the backyard and more than likely no higher than 10 feet off the ground. One of the best features of the drone is a one button take-off and landing. When you press this button, it hovers at around 5 feet. Some slight movement while hovering but nothing major in my opinion.
I moved the drone around the backyard and turned the drone left and right with no issues. Next, I decided to take the drone higher to maybe 20-25 feet. Unfortunately, even though the wind was light, it was enough to push the drone further away than I wanted it to go. I had to counter the wind and bring it back inside the backyard. Of course, I overcorrected several times and I did have a few crashes. Fortunately, there was no damage to the drone that required repairs. There have only been windy and rainy days since, so I haven't flown the drone anymore since my initial flight.
Recording video and taking pictures with the drone is very easy with a one-touch button. You can view the pictures and video on the app or on your phone. The pictures and video are in 1080P. Not as clear as 4K, but it's still a clear picture and video based on the price.
Another feature Snaptain provided with the drone is an overlay for the remote to help with the controls until you feel more comfortable with them.
Considering this is my first drone, I have rate this drone with 5 stars. It is the perfect stater drone to learn and get comfortable.
I would recommend it and I looking forward to the clear weather that is coming this week so I can fly it more.

Entry Level Drone

--- SETUP ---
The Snaptain E10 1080p Drone is easy to set up. It comes assembled and in a storage pouch. Charge one of the two included batteries and the remote with a USB-C cable, plug the battery, and you’re ready to start your flight!
--- FEATURES ---
18 minute flight time, Full 1080p HD video recordings, remote control operated via a phone app, 0.9 mile distance limit, auto-landing, low battery landing, circle recording, and hover.
--- EXPECTATIONS and PERFORMANCE ---
This drone is very light. It also comes in a perfectly sized pouch where you can fit the drone, the bulky remote, the two included batteries, and the protective casings for the blades. The pouch conveniently fits everything you need in such a small space, that you can put that pouch inside most average sized purses or small backpacks with ease.
With its lightness comes a few drawbacks. The plastic drone feels cheap and fragile to the touch. It is recommended that you don’t use this drone against strong winds, and this was true in my experience. I took out the drone during the snowy winter we had in TN. Though it was snowy, it didn’t feel too windy. Once I flew the drone above the apartments, it struggled to hover in place of where I wanted to. Controlling it wasn’t easy at high altitudes and it did feel like I could eventually lose it if I left it in the air for too long.
The controls themselves feel a bit off too. If you have ever played a game like GTA where you control a helicopter, that feels natural for a drone. Other drones I own control like a video game helicopter. This one controls like tank controllers. What this means is that you use the same joystick to move forward and to turn. For example, if I want to go straight and turn right, I have to move the joystick forward, then price right on the same joystick, causing the drone to pause while it turns. This feels unnatural in a drone. It would be preferable if I could go straight with one joystick while I turn right with the other joystick. This way, the motion is fluid and not choppy. Other buttons on the controller do feel good and are responsive. There are two dials that allow you to control the camera to look up or down at angles. There’s a button for hover mode, auto-landing, and circle around an object. The circling around was a hit or miss. The first time I tried it, the circle was way too wide and it would only have been helpful in a big open area space. I wanted to try recording while in a dance studio that is big in size, but it got too close to walls and it wouldn’t have worked out. The second time I tried it, I was outside. It wouldn’t recognize what I wanted for it to circle, and it never did.
The app is used for you to see what the camera sees. When the drone is hovering, the image is ok and looks steady. While in flight, there is a clear delay from what the drone sees to what you’re seeing in the app. On frequent occasions, the app has trouble keeping up with what the drone sees. This causes missed or blurry frames that get recorded that way.
The app does have a tutorial on how to use the drone, and it is a bit confusing to navigate. Once you figure it out, you have to keep choosing your specific drone to get the app to function properly, it doesn’t automatically recognize the drone you have.
--- APPROVAL ---
This drone might be good if you want to learn how to fly a drone and what it might feel like for you or a young teen. It is most definitely an entry-level drone, but I don’t think I’d recommend this drone to anyone unless you see it as a toy or novelty.

Really nice compact drone. It comes with everything you need to get you started. It comes inside a nice carrying case with shoulder straps. They include two batteries for the drone to keep you going. The controller also has one battery. They also include another set of propellers (in case you break the installed ones) and a set of propeller guards. The included manual is compact and easy to follow.
Once you get all your batteries charged, you have to download their phone app, then you snap your phone onto the controller and will serve as a screen/command center. The controller has a nice card telling you the basic controls. Signal has as good reach.
I like that it has a button for automatic take off and landing. Once you press that the drone will automatically and safely take off or land. It has buttons to to record videos or take photos (you must insert your own micro SD card in the drone to store these). It also has other buttons to automatically have the drone circle fly you, or do a 3D flip. You just press these and the drone will execute those commands. Of course you can control the drone fully manually. Battery life is good and they include two batteries for the drone, this is great! The control has only one battery, however it has clear battery level indicator LEDs. Videos are 1080p and clear, pictures are great too. I would consider this drone a great beginner level one, so if its your first ever experience taking videos/pics with a drone, its great and at a great price, highly recommend it!!!

So far, so good. I think this is a great beginners drone and the best price and durable brand recommended for experiencing drone flight and piloting practice.
Currently, the California weather isn’t the best drone flight experience with 15 mph winds as I have tried out on cloudy day, and this drone is only rated for a max speed of a 2 mph wind resistance. This isn’t the drone flying season I think and it is best to perhaps try this in a large indoor area like an auditorium of some sort or something similar. But not a house.
I will have a better drone flight experience when there is zero wind or no more than 2 mph wind speed. I may have to wait until the summer for that.
The controller is for use with a smartphone (for the best experience to see the drones POV and to know where it is), and it works well with my iPhone 15 pro max with a case on (though it would be better baseless).
I find the controls easy to use, but I need to get used to them knowing that the left stick is for lowering and raising the drone as well as turning left or right stick is moving forward backwards, strafing left or right.
However, I did test this on a non-rainy day with a 13 to 14 mph wind speed keeping it low on the ground (and it’s only rated for max 2pm mph wind). It is a 1080P camera but the quality is a whole lot better taking pictures as they will appear sharper than a video capture, of course no audio.
I have crashed it a couple of times, but it remains flawless and it still is able to fly after retrieving it and doing a power down and powering it back up and of course re-connecting to the drones wifi. The app “Snaptain FPV” is the app to use for this drone model.
So I tested flying at a public park nearby a basketball court and during the times that I have crashed it (or maybe just bumped it rather than using the extreme term crashed) it did lay on the ground non-responsive (can’t control it), but I was still able to see the actual live video feed on on my phone that is clamped on the controller. Of course, when the drone is bumped or knocked out or something similar of hard impact, propellers will turn off and be motionless with its LEDs, blinking. you’re going to have to walk to it and retrieve it of course.
I really can’t rely on just seeing the drone where it went with your own eyes from a distance while controlling, so it’s important to have a compatible smartphone and the app to view the drones POV which could help
Depending where it went. It would be a total loss if this landed collided on the roof or yard or got stuck in a high tree branch. I’ve kept it flying low near the ground and no more than 6-7’ high and away from housing on this windy day and as much as I controlled it as hard as I can making it come to me, resisting the wind, it rarely comes close. Make sure to fold out the drone properly and add the propeller guards- So far they’re still in good decent condition.
I will definitely stick to this beginner’s drone for a good while. Will try again summertime.

When I first got the drone, I was looking forward to having some fun evaluating it. Unfortunately, that had to be done in bits and pieces due to some very bad weather. Even so, I have had enough short periods of opportunity to get a good feel for the E10. Not only is it fun to “play” with, but it also has a practical application in terms of photos and videos.
Out of the box, the E10 can be assembled in minutes. Charge one of the two included batteries, and it is ready to take to the sky. A charged battery provides about fifteen minutes of flight time. Having the other battery charged and with you doubles the session time. The accompanying manual provides most, if not all the info needed to operate the drone. There is an app providing additional information.
The hand-carried controller console is easy to operate and controls all motions (up/down, forward/backward, etc.) Take-off and landing are done using a single button. If the drone is sitting on the ground, push the button, and the drone ascends and hovers at a height of about four feet. When it’s in the air, press the same button, and the drone descends and lands. There are two toggle switches. One is for the four flight directions: forward/backward and left/right. The other also provides four directions: up/down and clockwise/counterclockwise. In addition, there are several buttons: on/off, inflight up/down, speed, circle fly, 3D flip, and emergency stop. Camera controls are on the front of the console. All controls are responsive and work very well. NOTE: The toggle switches are so responsive that it is easy to over-steer. Overcoming that will be the one major thing a new user has to learn. It would be a miracle if you did not have a crash or three while learning. (A removable overlay template is included on the console to assist in learning how to operate the controls properly.)
The only thing that you need to add to the E10 mix is a memory card. The 1080p camera included in the E10’s chassis will work without a card; however, for retention purposes, a card is recommended. I took some photos and videos; and, when I viewed them on my computer, I was amazed by the quality of both the stills and the video.
Also, included with the drone and control console are some spare rotor blades, a neck strap, and a very nicely padded carrying case.
The Snaptain E10 affords a lot fun and applicability for a competitive price. On a preferably sunny, windless day, you could take some great pictures or just have some fun flying your E10 drone.

Affordable Entry Level Drone for Beginners

If you're looking at getting a drone, whether to use personally or to up your content creation like me, but have never had one before and feel a bit intimidated by it, this is a decent option to start with. It's also probably the smarter way to get into drones. There's going to be a learning curve in getting to know how to operate a drone, which can also feel a bit overwhelming since you are controlling not only the drone's movement, but also the camera at the same time. Not to mention that movement is in flight where it can go in any number of directions at any moment. Given all that, it's more likely than not that your drone is going to have a crash, or two, or several. There's a reason drones like this one come with extra replacement rotors in the box. That's where this Snaptain E10 comes in to play, and why I wanted to get it, as I'm a beginner myself who has never used a drone before. Being an inexpensive drone compared to others, it has allowed me to be a bit more confident, and willing to try more advanced maneuvers, knowing that it's not going to break the bank in a worst case scenario.
Starting out it's pretty simple and easy to setup. Just unbox it, charge up all the batteries and remote, download an app, and follow the simple instructions (included in the box and in the app) to get everything connected and ready for your first flight. The remote comes with a handy paper overlay that is a great reference to the controls while you're learning. Those controls aren't overly complicated either. I know that was a concern of mine when getting a drone. Seeing as how drones can go up, down, side to side, spin around and basically perform aerial acrobatics, I was worried the remote would be complex and tough to figure out. That wasn't the case with this Snaptain. I found the controls to be much simpler than I expected and easier to figure out. Plus this Snaptain has some neat pre-programmed button commands like the easy one-touch launch/landing.
When it comes to actually flying, this Snaptain does fairly well, but it also requires a little more manual input than I thought a drone would need to try and keep it stable and in control. Unlike some of the more expensive options, it's not loaded with sensors and programming to basically leave it on autopilot. Depending how you look at it, that can be a good thing though. Sometimes it's good to learn things that might be a little tougher, so that when you do move up to more advanced, and expensive drones, you'll be better prepared. But I can't deny it's not a great thing at the same time, and this Snaptain lets you know pretty quick it's not the most advanced. Oftentimes when I first launch it, the flight is very rocky and it takes me a few moments to get it to stabilize and hover properly. I also found that if any little thing causes it to move unexpectedly, it can quickly get out of control. A slight gust of wind or an improper movement of the controls and this drone would start flying a bit erratically. Usually I got it back under control, but other times I had to try and perform a quick landing before it ended up crashing into a tree or building. I also had a similar issue with landings. Some would touch down smoothly, other times it would get close to the ground and then all of a sudden tilt and fly off to the side. Some of this is going to be user inexperience, but it also demonstrates the lack of features and automation. Another issue I came across is that it tends to drift. Even in absolutely calm air, it would have trouble just hovering in one spot and would slowly drift around. I even tried it in my garage with plenty of space where there was no air movement at all and it would still drift. It's supposed to be able to handle some wind but honestly I wouldn't use it in anything stronger than a light breeze, it's just not stable enough to attempt.
Then there's the camera functionality. You only get 1080p but the video quality that comes through is fairly decent, it's about what you'd expect for the price you pay. For the most part the images were bright and clear. What's nice is that the video clips I took saved to both my phone and to the microsd card I installed, which is not included so you'll want to get one. The camera has basic zoom functionality but can only be moved up and down on a single axis. Lighting seems to affect the shot in different ways too. One of the shots I tried was behind my house on a bright day. As the drone turned around and brought my open garage into view, you could see some sort of 'bands' streaking across the video within the darker area. There isn't really any video stabilization either so it came across a bit jittery, especially when trying to get the drone to just hover, which it doesn't do very steadily. The best shots were when I had the drone flying in some direction as smoothly as I could get it to.
While you could technically fly the drone without the app, you definitely need it to use the camera, which leads me to my next issue. To get everything working you have to turn on the drone, the remote, the app, and then connect the app to the drone via it's own wi-fi network. I had problems keeping all these connections stable. More than once the remote would lose connection while the app was still connected, or the app would show the drone is disconnected but the remote is still connected. Other times I was able to control the camera movements but not the flight controls. Sometimes it would take longer than usual to get connected. More than once I've had to turn everything off, the remote, the drone, and the app, then restart it all to get everything connected and working again. This can be frustrating at times and a bit of a time-waster when all you want to do is get it up in the air to get a shot of something.
Finally I have to bring up the build quality. The drone itself is pretty good quality and about what you'd expect for the entry-level price. Plus it comes with a handy carry case. The remote control though just feels cheaply made, which is something I noticed from the moment I first picked it up. Plus if you have a larger phone, like my iPhone 14 Pro Max, it makes the remote very top-heavy.
Overall, it works well enough to be a good option for starting out with drones and learning how to use them, especially given the lower entry-level pricing, but between the instability of flight, connectivity issues, and remote quality, it knocks my rating down to 3 stars out of 5. For someone that is a beginner who doesn't want to worry about crashing their bank account when they crash their drone, this is a good option. It's an even better option if you're like me, where you plan on eventually upgrading once you're comfortable working with a drone, and can then give this drone to your kid to play with afterward.

The Snaptain E10 Drone is an ultra-light weight drone. At the time of this review, the U.S. FAA requires all drones that weight 250 grams or more to be registered. The Snaptain drone weighs 185 grams (199 with the battery and SD card installed). So, it does not currently require registration with the FAA. The drone is a fun toy drone, after you finally get it to work.
What’s in the Box:
Drone
Remote control
2 rechargeable drone batteries
Carry case
Drone propeller guards
Charge cable
Carry case strap
Extra propellers (with screws)
Screwdriver
User manual, quick start, remote overlay
The first one I received had a problem. One set of propellers would not spin. After back and forth with support for nearly two weeks, I finally received a shipping label to send that one back, with a promise to send a new one once it was verified the first one was in the mail. After week 3, I received the replacement drone that one did work.
I strongly recommend that you read the manual AND watch any videos you can find specific to the E10 drone. Follow the instructions to charge the batteries and the remote. Then pair with the remote and unlock the propellers using the remote.
To use the Snaptain FPV app (on your phone) you must connect your phone to the Snaptain E10 network. While my phone connected to the drone network, it complained the signal was weak, when I was less than 5 feet away. Videos and photos would not display in the app as they should. I finally got out an old phone, took the protective case off it, installed the app and put the old phone on the drone network. Then I could see the drone camera images.
Once outdoors, I flew the drone around my back yard without too much trouble. You do need a nice flat surface to take off from. If the grass obstructs the propellers even a little, it won’t take off. I could command the drone by using the remote in the yard. But again, could not see the video on the phone app (the one that did work in the house) even after I confirmed it was connected to the drone network. The drone captured videos on the SD card though.
In summary, the Snaptain E10 drone is an entry level drone. It is very fussy to set up and use. While it is a toy, it is not a child’s toy. Nor is it for anyone who lacks the patience to fuss with it. Once you get it to work, it is fun to fly around, and I believe with practice it will be even more fun.

This is my first drone ever and I gotta say, the Snaptain E10 drone is pretty fun to use! I charged everything out of the box and looked over the manual & quick start guide. I love that both the drone and the controller are lightweight and fold up nicely to fit in the bag that comes included. It even comes with a little repair kit and extra propellers in case you need to replace them.
As a first time user, I wanted to make sure I tested this drone outdoors. The handheld controller comes with a paper insert that maps what the joysticks and buttons do so I kept that with me to reference it. The drone took a couple of tumbles and the propellers, while a little scratched, are not bent so I don’t need to replace them quite yet. The propeller protectors popped off during the impacts and seem to have done their job preventing the propellers from being damaged. Each time it fell, the drone seemed to have a mind of its own and wasn’t fully responding to the joystick directions. Despite the falls, the drone still works and the propellers are still intact.
It’s been cold and windy here in south Texas so I waited for a clear day to test it, albeit a very cold one (37 F). The flight controls seemed sensitive so I had to adjust how much pressure I was putting on the joystick when maneuvering the drone. The remote will control the direction of the drone as well as the direction of the camera so you can get bird's eye view shots.
The app is pretty intuitive and has some helpful things on the home screen like a tutorial video and user manual. Once I got the drone connected to my phone via wifi, the live feed started working. It’s very easy to start recording or take a picture with the buttons on top of the controller and the app also has the ability to start/stop recording and take photos.
Even though this was 1080P footage, there was some banding in the final footage as well as over exposed areas. I’m guessing that had to do with the harsh sun and maybe even the cold temperatures.
Overall, this is a super fun drone to use. Is it cinematic? No. But it works as advertised and seems like a great entry level drone that’s fun for hobbyists. I can’t wait to take this beyond my backyard to a park or on a hike to get footage of pretty scenery.

Wow, this drone is truly amazing! Suitable for both adults and kids. I used it to inspect the roof, checking for any leaks or damage, and my kids also enjoyed using it and played with it along with their friends. The battery lasts a long time, and it actually comes with two batteries, not just one. It’s really great, lightweight, not expensive, and can fly at a good height, so you don’t have to worry about safety. The controls and navigation are excellent—it’s really a fantastic drone!

The Snaptain E10 drone is designed for people fourteen and older as an entry level product. It is substantially less expensive than drones from other manufacturers and even though it has a camera, I would not consider this a camera drone (one that takes steady video and pictures). The Snaptain E10 drone falls squarely towards the toy drone category, with an adequate camera that takes HD resolution video and low megapixel photos. The price point is somewhat reasonable and out of the box the drone looks quite appealing. However, at this price point it falls in flying characteristics, which actually makes this drone more difficult to fly, which is counter intuitive given it is targeting a novice or first time drone user. The Snaptain E10 is foldable, making it compact, comes with two rechargeable batteries that are rated for about 18 minutes of flight time, a decent, well designed controller which pairs with the drone rather easily and then maintains connectivity with the drone while in flight by using Wi-Fi connectivity. Setting up the drone was fairly simple after the batteries were charged for both the aircraft and the controller. You download the appropriate mobile device software (apps are available for both iOS and Android, with me choosing the latter) and then you are ready to fly. As a First Person View (FPV) drone when flying it you actually feel like you are piloting a mini plane. The controller has dedicated buttons for a few maneuvers, including a dedicated take off and land button, as well as the ability to circle an area or flip the drone upside down. In addition, there is a emergency power off button that will quickly cut the power after pressing for three seconds, at that point the drone will drop from the sky. The manufacturer recommends that you fly when no wind is present and that certainly is the case due to the lack of power in the motors driving the propellers and the lack of a level sensing feature, which makes it quite the choir to fly with any wind. Takeoff and landings can be a bit abrupt at times. I would absolutely try to fly this drone under the best conditions, meaning no obstacles, no wind in a relatively flat area. All drones per FAA regulations have to stay within your line of sight and given some of the limitations of this drone and controller you should never lose sight of the drone. Unlike more expensive drones, this does not come equipped with any GPS functionality, so there is no “return to home” function if your controller loses the connection to the drone. As for the video, the sensor in the camera is marginal, it will take HD video, but the contrast and saturation is a bit odd and the picture often “blooms” and is less than clear. I did have some strange bands in the video I took which was present both on the screen of my phone while flying (transmission between the drone and phone) and on the video it recorded to the MicroSD card into the provided card on the bottom of the drone. This banding effect seemed associated with the motors. As for the flying experience, it was a bit difficult, and I think some of the more expensive drones with GPS and a gimble based camera are actually easier to fly. So really it becomes what would you rather do ? Spend considerably more money on a more sophisticated drone with a better flying experience but at the cost of losing or crashing four to seven hundred dollars or something less expensive. Can you have fun with this drone within reason, absolutely – but if you catch drone fever, be prepared to step up to a better product. >>> Pros >> looks more expensive than it is >> controller is a decent design >> takes video/photos >> if you lose it or crash it you will not be happy, but given the price point it will generally not break the bank >> nice accessories provided, including a case, a second battery and extra propellers <<< Cons << no GPS or stabilization << no return to home << camera quality is marginal << no wind resistance at all, only can fly without wind present << controls are less than precise.

There's Got To Be Better...

The Snaptain E10 Foldable Drone isn't too bad of a beginner drone. I like that it is light and foldable, fitting in your hand. I love that it comes with a case to carry everything. The controller is ergonomic with adjustable grips. Batteries and controller charge fairly quickly.
Getting it started is simple but flying it is challenging. In ideal conditions it works pretty well, however, the slightest breeze sends it everywhere. It says it can withstand 3m/s wind but there's no way. Snaptain also shows you flying it in the backyard catching moments with the family but mine ended up in a bush, hitting a tree, and running right into me. All I was trying to do was keep it in the middle of the yard away from everything. I had it try to self land on our deck and half an inch off the ground it went sideways right into a toy chipping one of the propellers. That was all from powering it up for the first time. I should have known better and started off with the propeller guards on but since it was pretty open I didn't think there were any dangers.
It seems like the cold might also cause it problems. In an open space I tried to test out the height. I got a few cool pictures from above but then the drone just lost all altitude as if it turned off. It plopped down on the ground and I assumed the battery was low. The battery was still 75% and I was only a few feet away. It wouldn't get more than a foot off the ground after that and I'm not sure why. During a different session is was able to go high again. It has a button on the controller to do flips left or right and that was pretty cool and surprisingly easy.
You can run everything from the controller alone or you can download an app and connect your phone to the controller. This was good for seeing what you were taking pictures or videos of. Connecting was super easy. The display wasn't good enough to use as a point of view because there was a delay and a lot of jitter. Also you have to take the case off your phone for it to fit on the holder. The holder kind of sucks. While I was trying to fix the drone and figure out why the propeller guards were flying off my phone slipped out of the controller and broke on the sidewalk. So that shows how poorly designed to phone holder is...
I want to say this is worth getting when starting out but I just didn't get a good feeling playing with this for a couple days. Obviously having to repair my phone doesn't make me like it any better but there was other jankiness before that even happened. So I wouldn't recommend this to a friend.

We have informed our engineering team of your feedback, and they will take your concerns into consideration for future optimization.
Besides, please kindly note that the E20 is a beginner drone, so we strongly recommend flying the drone on a no wind or breeze day and in an open field place where there are no trees/woods around.
