I’ve considered buying a drone for a while, and searched for one that was easy to use, yet could grow with me as my skills advanced. From simply having fun flying one, I wanted to be able to survey the area around me. Things like inspecting my roof and chimney, wildlife, nature and local events. I wasn’t happy with the cheap ones that were really toys, but rather wanted something that was capable and fun to fly.
The Snaptain P40 hit the mark perfectly! It’s affordable and well made. It’s light enough to carry, and doesn’t require FAA licensing. The supporting videos made it easy to be flying quickly. It took a couple of minutes to lock onto the satellites, and it was ready. I started in beginner mode, and was thrilled how easy it was to fly. It was a breezy day, and even with 10mph gusts it remained stable.
I love the features like hover and follow me. Return to home worked really well. Worth noting is that it doesn’t have obstacle avoidance. You’ll also need to purchase an SD card for recording.
The included carry case neatly holds everything and includes spare blades just in case. I opted for the 3-battery version so I could extend my flying time. Traveling to a destination for an afternoon of flying is a lot more fun with spares ready to go.
I recommend this drone for anyone that wants to get into the fun of flying. It’s easy to learn and avoids the frustrations of buying something less capable. Suitable for a beginner like me, to anyone looking to get more out of a drone.

After recently purchasing the P30 Snaptain drone and being very happy with it, I had to get the P40 Lite version with it's 3 batteries. I am so glad that I did. I have always wanted to own a drone, but the cheap ones that I have bought in the past were worthless. Snaptain changed my mind GOOD and AFFORDABLE drones! This drone was nothing like I had bought or seen in the past. Immediately right out of the box, I was very impressed with the case for this product. I know that I can keep all of the parts together, even spare parts, and pack it around without having to worry if it is being crushed. Absolutely essential item!
The understanding of calibration and other technical items such as the app, wasn't even a bit confusing at all, just make sure that you read the whole manual before you start flying. There's even videos showing exactly how to fly the dtone and knowing all the controls.
This drone is definitely easy to fly after your ready to go and the pictures are fantastic! Everything works better than I expected. Some really cool features too. I'm way passed the beginner mode but that is great for first time flyers. When you're ready to really use this to its limits you have to go in the settings to change it and save the settings. Very simple!
Overall I really love this drone and for the price you can't go wrong!

I recently picked up this drone as a finale effort to figure out how to fly one. I have had cheap ones (more toy grade) to mid tier ones and all of them ended up crashing into things or flying out of control. This was because of user error and not being able to fully control them.
I set everything up and set the drone down on a flat level surface. I turned everything on and followed the one screen tutorial. This tutorial showed how to use the drone and get comfortable with it. If you are new to this do not skip these steps as it really makes a difference. Also the drone is setup for novice mode which was also perfect. You can change the settings through your connected phone when you get more comfortable. In novice mode the drone operates at a slower more controlled speed. This was very helpful as the controls are precise, but are not so speedy that it becomes unpredictable. In the other operating modes this drone can get really fast and move quickly, however this was a little to much for me and I went back to novice mode to get more familiar with the controls.
Taking off and landing can be difficult but with this drone its just a push of a button. There is even an option to have the drone auto return home (back to where it took off). This was great as a few times I lost sight of the drone and didn't want to figure out how to get it back home. This drone will also automatically return home if the battery gets to low or you loose signal with the drone. Also in the app is a Map view that shows an arial map and where the drone is on that map. Makes it easy to see where you are flying when its out of view. This map can also be used to help find the drone if it crashes/becomes lost.
There are other options like having the camera follow or parallel follow you automatically. I was unable to test this option in novice mode but from the app it looked like just a tap of the screen would start the process.
The camera works great and took some very nice high quality photos. The camera controls are very simple to use on the remote. You have a way to move the camera up and down. There are two buttons on the remote one to snap a picture and another to record a video. You can also use your cell phone screen to snap photos or take videos. The video I took also turned out great with limited to no shaking due to me jerking the controls around.. There are also some other manual controls for the camera settings, but I just left them on auto until I get better at operating everything.
I did try to download the photos and videos directly from the drone to my phone, but the transfer process was a little slow. This is mostly due to the file size of the large video/pictures, so instead I just removed the SD card and inserted into my computer for faster downloading.
There are extra blades, screws, and even blade guards included with this kit. The blades while thin are pretty stout and held up to crashing into the house, but it is nice to have a second set.
The runtime is a little limited and I got about 25 minutes. Not horrible, but I was having so much fun that I just wanted the battery to last a little longer. You can easily swap out batteries and snaptain has them for purchase.
There is so much that this drone offers and for a user like me I totally love it. I actually feel way more comfortable with using this drone than I have any of my other ones. I cant wait to get to a more advance mode, but for now its fun to play with in the novice setting.
Overall this is a great drone for anyone looking as its super easy to fly and get use to and takes great photos and videos!

Personal drones seem to have come a long way because this is so much smaller than I was anticipating. I understood it would be small, but didn’t quite realize how compact it would be until unboxing. Everything fits neatly into the accompanying case and it’s very easy to set up. To be honest, I’ve not flown all that many drones. That said, this was not hard.
Here are a few pros and cons that I noticed:
Pros:
Super compact, folds down easily
Comes with all the appropriate cables to pair phone with remote
Nice camera/gimble
Comes with prop protectors
Comes with extra propeller blades
Charging unit doubles as a power bank!
Cons:
The gimble cover is not super easy to get on for storage (I wanted to be very careful here, obviously)
You seem to need pretty good GPS coverage for the remote to pair and talk with the drone (I didn’t initially)
Doesn’t come with an SD card for recording photos/video (must purchase separately)
Overall, this was still fantastic! I’m again super impressed by how far these things have come in the last few years and can’t wait to keep flying!

Absolutely love this drone. I have several other cheaper drone versions, but they do not come close to the quality of this. Easy to setup and use with clear instructions. My seven year old and myself have enjoyed playing with the various features. Would highly recommend to anyone!

I use this P40 Lite to film short videos for my social media, and the results are far beyond what I expected. The 48MP stills are super sharp, and the 4K video with gimbal stabilization is just what I need for smooth motion shots. The long flight time means I can do multiple takes without rushing. Whether it’s for hobby filming or content creation, this drone combines powerful features with a compact, user-friendly design that makes capturing great shots effortless.

Feature-Rich Drone That Won’t Break the Bank

I was pleasantly surprised by how light the Snaptain P40 Lite is—much lighter than my old DJI Mavic Air, even though the build size is similar. A nice side effect of the light frame is that it’s significantly quieter; at 50 meters up, I couldn’t hear it over normal suburban noise.
The drone is very responsive in flight, and the camera delivers impressive resolution for both photos and video. Setup was quick and straightforward, so I was up and flying in no time. The "return to home" function was also very accurate. I did notice that the app mentioned airspace restrictions, but I didn’t see nearby airports or restricted areas marked—so I can’t fully speak to that feature’s reliability.
I also really liked the battery hub’s versatility—it can double as an external charger if needed—and the “toss away” feature is a fun, easy way to launch the drone.
Additionally, I did notice that the battery and overall chassis was noticeably warm to the touch after a few minutes of flight time and I found the gimbal cover to be a little tricky to snap back into place for storage. So both of these things might have an impact on usage over time.
Overall, the P40 Lite is a fantastic option for anyone wanting to get into aerial photography and videography without spending a fortune. Highly recommended for beginners and hobbyists alike!

I love it. The only thing I wish I would have been told is that you need to get a License for recreational flying. But it was really easy to get from pilot institute and that part was free but now I am working on my 107. This drone is easy to use and has a lot of information about it. I love using it now. I recommend getting another battery to go with it. The case has a place for 2 more batteries.

This Snaptain P-40 lite is the second drone I've purchased. Right out of the box I was disappointed cause it didn't seem to be as reactive as my other drone. After testing it awhile I realized I was in beginner mode which was hindering the drones ability to fly openly and use some of the features. After taking the Snaptain P-40 lite out of beginner mode it really took off. Some of the features that are pre loaded don't always work correctly it doesn't hold targets on center as quite as it should but it usually finds the object and then fixes the problem it has with keeping targets in the center of the video or photo . And it's been difficult finding extra replacement batteries I haven't been able to find any anywhere. I'd recommend buying this drone if you're just a beginner and want to have a little fun I said little because without extra batteries time is very limited. So until I manage to find more back up batteries for this particular drone I don't recommend buying it cause I'm regretting buying mine now that I see the battery supply is limited. Good luck as and safe journeys.

A High End Budget Friendly Drone

I have always been fascinated by the concept of drones, It seemed like a good choice to go with this one and I am quite impressed. To begin it was an incredible experience to cut open the box For someone like myself who is constantly on the move, the fact that everything comes in a little carrying case is a very convenient feature. Both the controller and the drone, as well as the spare propellers and the cords are stored in the designated area. let's talk about the camera and the gimbal, which are the most important things. The "8K" idea caught my attention in a big way The image quality is really high, despite the fact that it is probably not an 8K in the sense that it is used in professional settings With a resolution of 48 megapixels, the camera is capable of producing crisp and detailed images. In my opinion this are just as good as some of the other cameras that are available in this price range. Through the use of a three axis gimbal the 4K footage is rendered exceptionally smooth. This is a really significant point, where lower end drones i used to receive footage that was jittery and jerky, but that is no longer the case. The camera is kept steady and level by the gimbal, even when there is a slight wind, and the images I take seem far better as a result.
While in the air, the P40 LITE performs well In particular, it is quite easy to fly and very steady, which is very helpful for someone like myself who does not know too much about flying. The brushless motors appear to be powerful, and the sensors located on the bottom of the hover perform a fantastic job of maintaining its stability, which results in an increase in my level of confidence. The innovative flight modes are also very impressive. Through the use of the Follow Me, Rocket and Orbit modes of the application, it is possible to effortlessly capture some very remarkable moving photos that would be impossible to film manually. My experience with the return to home feature has been really good which is a great source of reassurance when you are flying a few hundred feet away from your home position. When I was flying into the suburbs, I saw that the signal was a little weak, which could be cause for concern. Remember that it always appeared to get better when I moved out into the more open area like Park This is something you should keep in mind. In addition, the camera quality is exceptional but, in order to rectify certain issues with excessive brightness and color, I had to adjust the exposure settings of the application. This is something that you should keep in mind if you want to get the perfect shot straight away, but it is not anything that will prevent you from getting the shot. There is also a minor problem with the controller. According to what I've experienced the control is extremely sensitive, which makes it difficult to get very smooth movie movements. Despite the fact that it is tiny and has several outstanding functions, It is possible that you may become accustomed to it over time but it is not as smooth as a more expensive drone. The flight time of 30 minutes that was advertised is fairly comparable to what I really got.
It weighs less than 249 grams because of this I am relieved that I do not have to worry about a significant number of the FAA criteria. Taking everything into consideration, the Snaptain P40 LITE appears to be an outstanding deal for the price. This drone not only lightweight and simple to operate but it also has a camera that is surprisingly good and the most important feature is that it comes with a three axis gimbal, which makes your videos look even more impressive For someone who is interested in beginning their career in drone photography and filmmaking without having to invest a significant amount of money, this is the ideal choice. I would strongly recommend it despite the fact that it does not have the quality of a professional drone and that it has a few minor defects yet, considering the price and the functionalities that it offers.

My First Drone = FUN!

So this is my very first drone, and I’ll be honest—I was pretty nervous I’d crash it within the first few minutes. I was excited to finally try one, but also didn’t want to send it into a tree on day one. Luckily, the Snaptain P40 Lite made the whole thing a lot easier than I thought it’d be. I'm not sure if this is considered a 'beginner drone' but it's definitely smaller than I thought it'd be. The build quality looked good and it came with lots of extra parts for when I do inevitably crash it.
Getting everything set up wasn’t too hard, but you definitely want to watch the video first. That cleared up a few things that confused me, like the remote turning off every time I tried to power it up. Turns out you have to press the button once and then hold it—not just tap it like I was doing. Once I got that figured out, the drone and remote connected right away.
It was a cloudy day when I flew it, so I had to wait a few minutes to get a good GPS signal, but once I had that locked in, takeoff was easy. I was surprised by how loud it was when it took off, I wasn't sure if I was going to have my neighbors call the cops on me!
It started off in "novice mode," which was perfect for me—it only let me go so high and kept things pretty controlled while I figured out the sticks. Controls were simple: left stick for going up/down and rotating, right stick for moving side to side. Took me just a few minutes to get the hang of it.
Even as a total beginner, the drone felt stable up there. It stayed where I told it to, didn’t drift around, and I felt pretty confident flying it after just a few minutes.
Camera-wise, the video looked great—super smooth and steady, even when I did a little fly-back shot over my backyard. The pictures weren’t as sharp as I’d hoped, though. They looked a bit grainy, but I think that might’ve just been because of the overcast sky that day. I’ll try again when it’s sunny.
I haven’t tried any of the smart tracking modes yet because they’re locked out in novice mode, and my backyard isn’t really big enough to mess with those. Hoping to give them a go next weekend when I’ve got some open space.
My only real complaint? I already wish I had extra batteries. The drone gets about 20–30 minutes per flight, and that goes by fast when you’re just starting to have fun. Very disappointing that I couldn’t find extra batteries in stock yet.
All in all, though, I’m really happy with my first drone experience. It’s easy to learn, feels stable in the air, and the video quality is awesome. If you’re new to drones like me, I’d say this is a great place to start.

This is my fourth drone ownership, and the Snaptain P40 Lite is a solid choice that performs as advertised. As usual, I felt a bit nervous about using a new drone, worried I might crash it. Watching a few online videos helped ease my concerns. Unpacking, setup, and charging the battery went smoothly, as did downloading the manufacturer's app. The setup was quick, and before long, I was flying it.
As with all my drones, I spent time reviewing the manual and watching online tutorials to ensure proper handling and avoid crashes. Weighing under 249 grams, this lightweight drone doesn't require FAA registration, which is needed for heavier models. It features a standard 8K camera rated at 48 megapixels, great for capturing stunning videos and photos. The manufacturer claims a flight time of 31 minutes in ideal conditions, and my experience was close to this, though I wasn’t pushing it hard or recording extensively.
My flights were smooth and easy, with no communication issues, although I avoided areas with obstructions or tall buildings. Even when the drone went out of sight a few times, it stayed connected. Charging the battery took about two hours, prompting me to consider buying an additional one. Overall, the Snaptain P40 Lite is an excellent budget-friendly drone with decent performance and features. Buy one and be happy!

Drone Life Made Simple

The Snaptain P40 Lite 3‑Axis Gimbal 8K Camera Drone is a compact GPS camera drone with a 48 megapixel sensor capable of 8K photos and stabilized 4K video recording. The 3-axis motorized gimbal gives it much better video stabilization than your typical budget to mid range drone. It's under 250 grams so fortunately there's no need for FAA registration. Flight Time for the drone is about 20 to 25 minutes per battery, a ridiculously long transmission range, and level 5 wind resistance about 20 mph. Although I don't feel comfortable in any winds near that. Note: There aren't any obstacle avoidance sensors which would be nice for beginners.
Design, Build, Unboxing
The design is very similar to competing drones with the foldable quadcopter frame making it easy to transport by folding neatly into the travel box. The travel box is durable and worthy of protecting the equipment with a full zip-around closure. There are 4 arms that fold easily to fit inside the box. There's a remote control made of hard plastic that also folds down. There's a 2250 mAh battery, spare propeller blades, a gimbal guard (for transport), propeller guards, charging cables (both USB-C and Apple lightning) a quick start guide, a screwdriver, and screws. The drone feels fairly solid. There is no SD card included, but I didn't really expect that and they're fairly cheap. The remote controller feels sturdy and is designed to fit your phone (spring loaded) and connect via one of the cables provided. There is a convenient video record and photo button, as well as a dial to adjust the gimbal (convenient when taking pictures/recording video.) Additionally you will find a zoom button and an exposure dial. It has two fold out pieces as well, designed to fit easily in the included travel box. Overall the drone package is lightweight, feels fairly sturdy, and comes with a few extras. The overall design is a familiar and popular build quality.
Specs & Features
Camera and Gimbal - There's a 48 Megapixel camera for 8K photos and smooth 4K video at 30 FPS. This is perfect for aerial shots. You can use the scroll wheel on the remote to move the camera from forward facing to straight down depending on the scene. I left all of the settings on auto, but you can make adjustments in the app for the camera if necessary.
GPS and Sensor - The P40 lite is GPS enabled. I regularly locked on to 10+ satellites. It can follow the user or fly to a way point.
Battery - 2250mAh
8K Photos - Technically these are 8K photos but they look to be over saturated and the dynamic range is small but that's being picky. The camera is still impressive but by no means high quality photography. The first place I flew after I felt comfortable with controls was my roof (to inspect after a recent hail storm) and the detail was adequate.
Flight Time - I got about 20 to 25 minutes before I needed to charge the battery. That's adequate if you're out flying with a single mission in mind, but if you have an event you're recording you will absolutely need extra batteries. The charge time is long enough that I would recommend at least a backup battery.
Distance - The maximum distance is rated at almost 4 miles although I didn't test that far.
Max speed - 33.5 MPH
Wind Resistance - Level 5 which is made to withstand decent winds but personally I did not feel stable in mild winds. I would rather fly in little to no wind due to the light weight of the drone.
Max Altitude - 4500 meters - Due to FAA regulations/laws you shouldn't fly above 400 feet/120 meters. I flew the drone up above my house to take photos and videos of my roof. I also took video up high above a high school track with no problems. It was as stable up high as it was near the ground. It does broadcast it's Remote ID
Photo Resolution - 8K, 48 MP, I'll mention here that even though the photos are high resolution, the sensor or processing does need some improvement. I also felt that low-light performance was subpar.
Video Resolution - With the 3-axis mechanical gimbal, video is surprisingly smooth and stabilization is great.
App - This is kind of like your mission control area. You can look at flight logs, tutorials, and snap pictures. Most importantly you can see your connection and map data while flying, or check out your albums from the photos/videos you have taken.
Performance
Drone - The drone is perfect for beginners but will still require some technical know-how with setup and careful flying until one masters the controls. The drone launches and hovers easily, and is quite responsive to controls. There's also a Return-to-home function but be careful where you set the Return-to-home location as you might have to step in if there are any obstacles. The drone is quiet and fairly easy to fly but as with other drones you will need to monitor the wind. Being under 250 grams it will sway a little bit with light wind. My advice would be to stay in open areas while you are learning to fly. Stay away from windows and buildings until you get more comfortable. Personally, I flew into the side of my house three times while learning the controls but the learning curve is quick. I wish there was a protective cover for the camera because in one of those crashes into the side of my house it cracked the camera. The connection wasn't as strong as I expected. I did experience occasional warnings on the app, but it didn't seem to effect the drone while I was flying. Additionally, One-key takeoff and throw to launch are two nice features for beginners. There are a ton of cool flight modes too such as Follow Me, Dynamic Tracking, and Waypoint Navigations.
*Pros*
* Ultra light and portable
* Good camera with high resolution
* Flight performance is fairly smooth
* User Friendly App
* Setup is fairly easy
* Learning curve is quick for beginners
* Easy tutorials help you get flying quickly
* User Friendly App
* Controller design is superb with
*Suggestions/Needs Improvement*
* Image quality/saturation could be a little better
* Gimbal cover is not easy to put back on
* Charge time is 3 to 4 hours, significant time between flights unless you have spare batteries
* Obstacle avoidance would be nice (I had a few wrecks in the first 30 minutes)
For beginners and casual creators, the P40 Lite is easy to fly, compact, and outputs smooth 4K footage. Minus the limits (no obstacle sensors, questionable low-light performance, and long charge times, it's a strong value. I recommend it, with at least one extra battery.

Poor connection, poor stability. Now with the potential DJI ban, I purchased the best one "Best Buy" had. This is maybe a 50 dollar amazon drone. It requires a cell phone connection and after powering both the remote and drone on youll be waiting 5 minute before its ready to take off. Twice now its acted erratic both ending in crashes. Flight log showed no indications of any issues. Shame on you best for selling junk and not standing behind it.

Lite Duty – Fun Flying drone

If you are looking for a drone as a beginner or if you have weekend warrior jobs that need a drone then this is one to consider. Overall I think it’s a good entry to mid-range drone meant for lite jobs, aerial photography and all round fun. It has some shortcomings and there is a learning curve for those that are new to flying drones.
Pros:
- GPS positioning and return to home functions
- Several Flight modes that support Beginner to Pro
- 4k video that can be stored on optional SD card
- Good build quality – it’s taken a few tumbles but keeps on flying
- The Snaptain Go app has lots of features and tutorials
- Nice Carrying case to store everything
Cons:
- Only one battery that last about 20 minutes in typical outdoor conditions and it takes quite a long time to fully charge
- No obstacle avoidance features so be prepared for some bumps
- Slow to obtain satellites
- I experienced some connectivity issues while using the Snaptain Go app
Start Up: After unpacking the controller and drone I put them both on chargers, note that they both need a fairly hefty USB power supply to charge them. The tutorials walk you through the initial set up but I ran into troubles because the mobile app to control the drone would never show “connected” and the tutorials didn’t offer any help. After digging out the manual which is supplied I realized that there is a very specific order in which the controller, drone and app have to be initiated. Once I got everything connected I next had to wait for the drone to find the GPS satellites. Even under mostly clear skies in a rural area it took way longer than my GPS watch normally does. With 12 satellites found I was able to fly the drone for about 20 minutes before the battery ran down.
Performance: I found this drone responds reasonably quickly but it struggles to hover in place when there is any amount of wind. The controller is easy to hold and the controls are laid out nicely for easy operation. The Snaptain Go app has a lot of features including the Return to Home button which I tested several times. The vast majority of the time the drone landed within 5 feet of the launch site even with winds. Overall I think flying this drone is fairly easy but because the drone lacks obstacle avoidance features it will fly into something if you aren’t careful. The 4k video capability and the photo mode both worked without issues but the photos seemed to be less crisp than I would have expected at this resolution. The drone does have digital stabilization which does help with imaging. The gimble control worked well and it was nice to be able to control the angle of the camera without having to manipulate the drone’s flight angle. Overall the photos and video stored onto the optional onboard SD card were plenty good enough for sports events, family gatherings or inspecting a roof or building.

I have never owned a Drone and this was a treat to get to test this product. Felt like a kid in the candy store. lol The SNAPTAIN App was easy to download. Loved that there is an instruction video that you can watch on the App through the Learning Center. There is also an area in the app where you can get support. In addition, the case comes with a hard copy manual as well. There are protector coverings to go on each propeller, if you chose to utilized them. My phone fit easily into the remote control. Was able to pair the device by pressing the button on the remote and also the button on the drone. Once they recognized each other, was able to test the drone. It navigates pretty easy. You go to the app and select the throw away button, and gently move the drone down and up to launch. Your able to control the speed in the app as well to adjust how fast you'd like for it to fly. Liked that the drone would stay in a floating position when needed. The drone was a little bit loud, but could reach up pretty high. The drone also takes an SD card to help store videos and images. While in flight mode your able to take pictures and/or record. The drone held it's charge for a decent amount of time. I like that there is a locator button on the drone. This drone was tested in an desert area in the valley. Will be using this drone for when we go to recreational and nature type activities. Overall I approve. Will continue to use this product.
Pros:
Propeller Covers
Activities pretty easily
Remote control capability
Cons:
Would like for it to be a tiny bit quieter, however, that helps to know where it is at.
Not a deal breaker for me, just an observation
Thank you for allowing me to test.

This drone so far has been great coming from someone who has never flown a drone. Out of the box it most definitely requires a full charging before trying to set it up for the first flight. You get 3 different cables to connect your phone to the controller depending on what your charging port is on your phone. It also gives extra propellers as well as guards for them if you so desire. It took about a hour to get both the drone and controller charged fully. The battery is required to be in the drone to charge it unless you get the external charger for it which runs about $45. You need to download the SNAPTAIN Go app which is super easy to do. I cannot stress enough how important it is to watch the instructional “how to” video that is located within the SNAPTAIN Go app. It helped me get the controller connected to the phone so that you are able to see the camera and drone location.
Once I figured out the connection procedures, it was go time! The app starts you in “beginner mode” which helps a new flyer learn the controls and features within the app. It most definitely will take practice if you’ve never flown one before like me. The drone comes with one battery. That battery will only last approximately 27-29 minutes (that’s the max I’ve gotten). I would highly suggest buying second and even third batteries depending on what you may be doing with your drone that day. The batteries run approximately $60 each but in my opinion would be worth the price to be able to have more flight time.
So far, I’ve been able to take the drone out with us during a side by side riding trip in the mountains and just playing with it around our home. The camera worked very well with photos and during movie mode. The controller allows you to move the camera up and down and on the app you are able to zoom in if needed. I highly recommend buying a SD card for this drone as well. I was able to transfer the pictures to my phone very easy and they were actually way better than I thought they’d be in quality!
Over all, I’d say this drone is a great first time drone or for someone who just wants to have fun with it. I can say it’s very durable. I had two decent collisions, one with the side of my house and the other was up against my side by side as I was trying to get it to land on our cooler. Haha. Neither did a horrible amount of damage and I didn’t even have to change the propellers. Needless to say, I gotta work on that but the app does allow you to have an auto landing to help you if needed. For the price, I’d say it’s a reasonable purchase and you will most definitely have fun with it!

Ok, so this drone is pretty darn good. It takes a little when you’re first starting it, but it explains all of the proper safety and air protocols.
The app is very intuitive. It easily connected with the QR code provided. I was able to setup the drone within 10 minutes. You connect your phone to the drone’s remote control. The app uses your screen as the display to take videos or photos of what the camera sees.
It was really fun testing the image and video quality. I tested this by hovering the drone about 8 feet off the ground and took some photos and videos. My kids thought this was hilarious and fun! I then moved the drone 20 feet high and flew it slowly forward and back taking photos and videos. The quality was great. I was very impressed with what it was able to do.
Flight is very responsive. I had the drone about 20 feet off the ground to test the control sensitivity. It met my expectations and performed well! It wasn’t the fastest rotations, but it was extremely stable. I live on a farm, so this’ll be very fun to check fields with. I also plan on using it to take videos of the rivers, crops, and areal shots of my property.
Battery charging took longer than expected, but the battery life for both drone and controller are great. So I suppose it’s worth the wait!
Storage is in a compact and secure case. It’s very sturdy and durable, so I have peace of mind storing it.
Pros:
Quick moving
Lightweight
Compact drone
Image quality is impressive
Lots of cord options to connect phone to remote control
Remote control comfortable in hand
Traveling case
App connection
Battery life
Cons:
Slight learning curve
Longer to charge than expected
Have to charge the control and drone
Overall:
I think this is a great buy. Its mid tier price for what it can do definitely makes it appealing. I love the option of being able to add a SIM card for extra photos and video options.
