    Red Light, Green Light....Blue Light?

A toothbrush is a toothbrush, right? The Snow LED Electric Toothbrush tries to sell itself with a unique tooth whitening blue LED light and that’s what made me give the product a try. Here’s what I thought about it. First off you’ll notice the presentation of the device is absolutely fantastic. I received a gift/storage bag along with a premium quality box. As you can see in the pictures, the product is packaged and presented like the premium quality toothbrush it’s advertised as. You receive the tooth brush, 2 LED brush heads, a charging stand and a USB-C charging cable. What I wish was included for the price was a USB charging brick. The toothbrush and brush head is built well, has a nice weight to it and doesn’t feel cheap when it’s sonic vibrations kick in. There is no rattle or noise other than what you’d expect from the device. Now let’s get to the actual brushing! The toothbrush itself feels good to use, there are 4 modes to choose from Clean, Whiten, Polish, and Sensitive. All of them do slightly different things, but I’m a basic kind of guy so I just mostly used the “Clean” setting and ran with that. The brush head is very thin stem, which is nice as some electric toothbrushes have thicker stems that make them awkward to use like a regular toothbrush. You’ll come out of the 2 minute brush cycle with very clean feeling teeth, even if the brush head itself feels a bit softer than most other soft brush heads. The softness of the brush doesn’t seem to affect how it leaves my teeth feeling, so I’m okay with that aspect of it. The sonic action feels right and the pressure of it feels just right. As for the blue light LED, well that’s where I’m not fully convinced. The blue light LED is what really differentiates this device from all the other sonic toothbrushes on the market and I wish I could say that I notice anything happening from that function, but I don’t yet. This may just be something that comes to light the longer I use it, but during my testing for this review I can’t say that I felt the toothbrush was whitening my teeth any better because of the blue light. Overall I think this is a good first attempt at a toothbrush from SNOW. I do wish they’d give you a whitening chart to compare your whitening progress for a product that is trying to sell you on it’s whitening effectiveness. I really can’t find any other complaints other than value. There are a lot of toothbrushes to be had for a much lower price than the SNOW and with cheaper replacement brush heads as well. Other than the questionable value of the blue light whitening this product is pretty solid toothbrush.

    Good brush, bad charger

Summary: It is a good tooth brush that leaves you with a clean feeling after the two minute cycle. The attached charger only comes with a base station and a USB-A and C cable. This means you will need a 5V USB adapter in the bathroom to charge it. I don't think too many people will have that! Hence, I removed 1 star from my rating. Details: The brush comes in a nice packing. The box and the storage box look pretty fancy and premium that you will expect at a price tag of $149. There is an extra brush-head, charger base station and USB-A to C cable in the box. There are 4 modes: Clean, Whiten, Polish and Sensitive. I like the push button to turn on-off the brush as well as change the mode as I have had difficulties with my old Philips Sonicare brushes design where the button has to be depressed. In each mode, you get 2 minutes of total brush time which is divided in 4, 30 seconds intervals. After each 30 seconds interval the brush briefly pauses to indicate change in quadrant. This is better than the same feature in Sonicare as you only get a beep there. The brush feels quite balanced and brush head is able to reach all areas of mouth without any issues. The key differentiator is supposed to be the blue LED light for whitening support. But I haven't really noticed any marked difference yet. Probably, it will show over a period of time (I have used it only for a week so far). The battery life seems to be pretty good. So, in short, it's a pretty good tooth brush that gets the job done and leaves you with clean mouth. The blue-LED might result in whiter teeth but need to wait for some time to see that.

    Refreshing Stimulation

I have been using this toothbrush for a week and have throughly enjoyed it. It is light and well-balanced in the hand, and stimulates my gums while it cleans and whitens my teeth. You pick it, turn it on, and re-press the "on" button to toggle through its several modes: Clean, White, Polish and Sensitive. Clean is the default mode, White concentrates on surface stains caused by coffee and tea, and Polish impoves the gloss of your teeth by changing the vibration intensity. Sensitive is for those who find the other modes too stimulating- I didn't and enjoyed the stimulation from each. I am quite pleased with the results. My teeth and gums are clean and refreshed. It will take longer than a week to show how much this device whitens my teeth, but it does use LEDs to hasten the whitening, and I am confident my caffeine- stained teeth will benefit. An interesting feature of this device is intelligent brushing. It pauses briefly after operating for 30 seconds so that you can change quadrants and cover all four (Upper right, upper left, lower right and lower left) over the course of the two-minute reccomended miniumum brushing time. I have two crticisms, neither of which should be a deal killer. First, the packaged instructions for charging the device are inccorrect. You are advised to charge the device for 12 hours before the first time use, and to turn it on before placing it in the base for charging. When you turn it on, the brush function starts. It would be ridiculous to place an operating tootbrush, motor running and LEDs illuminated, in the charging stand, but that is what happens when you turn the device on. So ignore that directive. You are also advised that when you have placed the device in the base that the base will blink green to indicate charging. My base did not. It blinked red. When I returned from work and checked, the LED was solid green. If the specifications are correct, the full charge should last 30 days. To keep the device always charged, the instructions reccomend keeping the toothbrush on the charger when not in use. A USB-C to USB-A cable is supplied to attach the base to a DC source. My second criticism is that you will need a find a charger with a 5V output to charge the toothbrush. I used a retired iPad charger for the initial charge, and it worked fine, but I consider the ommission of a DC power source a disappointing packaging decision by the manufacturer, and deducted a star from my rating because of it. The toothbrush is fine one, though, and highly-reccomended for the great job it does. I expect to use it for years to come.

I have used a few different types of electric toothbrushes, but the Snow LED toothbrush is the best one I have used yet. There are four cleaning modes, clean, whiten, polish and sensitive. The quality is top notch and has a rechargeable battery that has a strong run time. I have used it for two weeks and feel that my teeth are cleaner.

The Snow-LED Electric Toothbrush is an interesting product with some nice features. However, I have used and tried many electric toothbrushes and have one favorite because of the brush head size and style. I Love everything about the Snow-LED Electric toothbrush’s different settings I just wish it had a larger brush head included. The problem I always incur is the plastic part of the head hits my teeth and gums when it is to small. Unfortunately, I have the same issue with this toothbrush. It is an issue that I do not have with my much cheaper electric toothbrush. I appreciate the four different settings and the Ultraviolet light and especially like mode 4 that is good for massaging gums. While brushing the front of my teeth it is no problem but once I start brushing the inside of my teeth the plastic brush head hits my teeth and gums. So for me offer some bigger heads with some of the new style brushes that have some rubber bristles in them and you will have a hit. You have to accommodate all mouth sizes to be successful with a toothbrush!

    Great Concept...Poor Execution

Initially, this sounded like a such a great product. I'm a big advocate of using natural solutions to help whiten your teeth. One such solution is blue LED lighting which is known to also have antimicrobial properties. Studies have found that blue light kills off bad bacteria that causes tartar build up and bad breath. It also helps lessen the risk of gum disease, cavities, and other oral health issues. What a great way to supplement my normal toothbrushing regiment! Unfortunately though, this electric toothbrush was lacking in execution. I already ran into some quality assurance issues with this product. My particular unit has this really strange issue that when you select the "Clean" mode you get an extremely faint brushing vibration. In order to get what I presume SNOW intended to be the actual vibrating force for "Clean" mode, I have to scroll through all three other options and then back to "Clean" and only then do I feel significantly more vibration. It took me several days to accidentally discover this. The entire time I was confused as to why "White", "Polish", and "Sensitive" were significantly stronger than "Clean". It wasnt until I accidentally scrolled through all of them and then back to "Clean" that I noticed the vibrating force got significantly stronger. To be fair, the other modes (i.e. White, Polish, Sensitive) all produce a decent vibrating action. However, coming from what I consider to be the gold standard of electric toothbrushes for the last 10 years (i.e. Phillips Sonicare, Oral B) the actual brushing action of the SNOW electric toothbrush just doesn't compare. Even after the fix I discovered, the SNOW electric toothbrush's "Clean" mode just seems like it's missing vibrating action or power. The SNOW electric toothbrush separates the 2 minute brushing experience into quadrants by spending 30 seconds on each one. This is a pretty standard feature found on most electric toothbrushes nowadays so I'm glad they included it. In terms of the actual whitening, I can't really tell if my teeth are whiter from when I began using it about a week ago. It looks the same so far. It's possible I may have to continue using it for a longer period of time to see significant results. However, I know that the blue LED light provides more benefits than just whitening as I previously mentioned. The quality and construction of the toothbrush is decent but nothing special. I am not a fan of the charging solution though. The charging base fees like cheap plastic. There's also no power block that you can plug into a wall outlet. It only comes with a USB-A to USB-C charger. I think it's safe to say that the large majority of people don't have USB-A charging ports in their bathroom nor do they keep a surge protector in their bathroom with USB charging ports. You'll probably want to purchase a separate USB-C power block for this product. This was a pretty big disappointment for me. I believe that oral hygiene products, which are used daily, and that come in at this pricing segment, should come as a complete solution especially for something as basic and as important as charging. Overall, this may be a decent product to try for those that are looking for a supplementary whitening solution and/or the benefits of blue LED lighting for oral hygiene. In my opinion, the product fell a bit flat in terms of performance and execution. For me, the actual brushing performance and experience comes first and whitening comes second. Neither of which this toothbrush particularly excelled at.

I’ve used a few electric toothbrushes in the past and have enjoyed them. When I saw that there was one that was using Light for whitening, I was intrigued. TL;DR for my frequent readers and details below. Pros: USB-C Extra cleaning head 30-second notification LED light tech Cons: No AC Adapter, had to pillage one from the house Inconsistent speed for a single mode Brush head bangs against teeth easily Meh: Lack of instructions / incorrect LED statuses No travel case After unpacking the toothbrush, it was obvious that they didn’t include an AC adapter for the USB-A to USB-C cable. Sad face. One extra cleaning head was included and when looking them up, they appear to retail for around $10. Also missing, a travel case - but there’s a soft pouch … however that won’t keep it from getting banged around. A lack of thorough instructions left me somewhat guessing. I did have the sheet that indicated how to charge it & what the LEDs on the unit represent, but there isn’t a green flashing LED during charging, it’s red; when it’s fully charged however - a solid Green light is correct. When starting off selecting the mode I wanted, the speeds all seemed slow and I wondered what kind of job they would do. I cycled through all of the 4 options & when getting back to start, it was much faster. Strange. A blue LED light is tough to miss when you’re brushing, or if you forget it’s there like I do quite frequently & find myself chuckling. I’m not sure if there was much in terms of whitening that took place, but it may be something that takes constant use over time. I was happy to feel/hear the 30 second vibration timer to switch sections of the mouth; I’m used to that with my current toothbrush and am glad that it’s with this brand as well. One thing I found was that the head kept chattering against my teeth. This could be from a flat brush head stem design, vs a rounded one like my current toothbrush has. All that said, after a week of brushing, I find my teeth feel much cleaner than when I was using my old toothbrush. I must say, I was pretty shocked with the level of cleaning of this toothbrush. Given some of the Cons & Meh statements above, I’ll keep it & recommend it if people are looking to switch it up with some cool LED whitening tech.

So far it's a decent electric toothbrush. I like the idea of the blue light helping to whiten, but not sure of how effective it is yet. I used a sonicate before this and it seemed a little more high end and I liked it had 2 buttons to control on and off and the different brushing modes. This toothbrush you have to press the same button for on and off and to cycle thru the brushing modes, which is a little annoying. Overall It's still a good electric toothbrush.

I am really impressed with this new toothbrush. I have had a few different models of sonic brushes over the years and this one is my new favorite! My mouth feels so clean when I am done brushing. I have a permanent retainer on my bottom front teeth that keeps things aligned, but it is a small nightmare to keep clean. It tends to be a magnet for plaque and the only time it feels truly clean is right after a cleaning at the dentist. This is the first brush I have had that is able to dig into that plaque and make the retainer feel clean. It has not removed 100%, but I am happy that it does way more than any other brush I have had. I am not sure if I am just being biased because I really like the brush, but my teeth appear to be getting whiter. Without a doubt, they are shining brighter than any other brush I have used. Using this brush for a while longer is really going to be the test. For people new to the sonic brush world, this has multiple speeds, including a sensitive speed for people who need to build up to sonic levels, or they simply have really sensitive teeth. I consider my teeth to be sensitive, but I am still able to use the "clean" speed without a problem. The manual says to use that one on a regular basis and I am satisfied with it. I have no pain or discomfort with it. The brush also features the common timer to allow 30 seconds per quadrant/2 minutes per brushing. That keeps us following the rules and actually brushing the recommended amount of time. It is also a perk in the event that someone were to accidentally turn on the brush and not realize it. The brush will automatically turn off in 2 minutes. Cleaning this brush is simple because the entire thing can get wet. That makes it easy to rinse when done. Then the base has a hole in the bottom to allow water to escape, unlike some other models where gunk tends to build up and look disgusting. Last but not least, I love that this charges via USB and it has a battery that will supposedly last one month per charge. That means I do not have to have the thing plugged in nonstop and have a cord cluttering my vanity. Instead, the small base sits nicely without a cord, anywhere on the counter. When I eventually need to recharge the battery, I can plug the base into any USB charger for the day. Some may argue that it would be nice if they included an adapter to plug into the wall, but at this point in life, who doesn't have a random USB charger at home? I am happy and I would definitely recommend this toothbrush to a friend.

The people at snow have done a great job at delivering a greatly packaged product however packaging is not the most important thing when it comes to an electric toothbrush. The toothbrush includes 2 led heads a charging base and a USB c cable bur no charging brick. Initially you must charge the tooth brush out of the box before its first use as indicated by the manufacturer. The main selling point that differentiates this electric toothbrush from others is the led brush head in order to enhance tooth whitening. The toothbrush has a pre-set 2 minute timer with 30 second intervals that help indicate a switch to a different quadrant in your mouth. There are 4 different brushing modes which include clean, white, polish and sensitive. This is where I had some issues with the toothbrush. The first time I used it the clean function was weaker than a $ 10 travel electric toothbrush you can buy at a drug store. After toggling through the modes and noticing that the other modes were much stronger the clean mode became stronger on the second cycle. It seems as if the intensity of the modes seems to vary from day to day and the battery is fully charged. It seems as if this may be an inherent issue with the toothbrush itself so maybe the people at snow should focus a little more on quality control. It is hard to tell if the led light will have any effect on the whitening process of my teeth in such a short period of time but I hope to provide an update in the future. When the motor seems to provide the right intensity of power during the clean cycle then your teeth come out feeling clean however since the performance of the brushing cycles has been inconsistent I do not think I would recommend this brush to anyone looking for a new electric toothbrush.

Electric brush with a unique whitening feature

The Snow electric toothbrush differs from the other electric toothbrushes out there by not only cleaning teeth, but also providing whitening function by the built-in LED light. That’s the feature I was mostly interested in after getting this brush. Unfortunately that may be a long term effect as after using it for almost a month, I am yet to see any noticeable difference. Now that may differ from person to person, since in my case my teeth did not need any noticeable whitening to begin with. Other than that the basic functionality of the toothbrush is as what it's supposed to be. The “sonic” technology seems to work quite well in cleaning. The button let’s me choose from 4 different modes - clean, white, sensitive, and polish. I have tried out all four, and did feel the difference in the vibration. I don’t have super sensitive teeth/gum so I’m not in the best position to judge whether “sensitive” mode is effective or not. The timer is useful to make sure all parts of the mouth are given equal attention- there’s a noticeable change in pulse to indicate I have done my 30 second brushing for each “quadrant” of the teeth so I can fully utilize my 2 minutes and do my due diligence. The brush has a fairly long lasting rechargeable battery, and comes with a wireless charging base. However, only a USB charging cable is provided in the box - no charging brick. Now I understand the trend to get rid of “redundant” USB chargers (yes indeed I have a number of them lying around), but since I want to charge my toothbrush in the bathroom, I have to keep one near my sink which is not always ideal. I wish for the price being charged for the toothbrush a well-designed “bathroom proof” wall charger would be appreciated. The kit comes with two “LED” brush heads, so that makes me supplied for the next 4-5 months, and I found the replacement brush-head price decent. I would appreciate it more if there’s a cheaper “non-LED” option just in case you’re not interested in all these whitening functionality. A cloth travel pouch is also given, but I wish I had a solid travel case instead. In summary, the Snow LED electric toothbrush is more relevant for people who want to use the LED whitening feature. Other than that it doesn’t have anything that set’s it far apart from regular electric brushes.

Hard to write a review of a product you have been using for a brief period; however, I have already seen some nice results. Arrived very well packaged and yet easy to unpackage. Arrived in a genuinely nice box along with a nice-looking cloth travel bag accessory. I believe the instructions may be slightly incorrect. The user manual states: “Be sure to turn the toothbrush on before charging.” I believe this should have read be sure to turn the toothbrush off before charging. The user manual also states: “The charger indicator light will flash green, indicating the handle is charging. After the battery is fully charged, the charge indicator light will glow a steady green.” On the unit that I received the charger indicator light flashes red and then will glow a steady green upon completion of the charge. I do have a concern about the quality of a product when the user manual has type errors and/or incorrect information. Just a personal concern on my part, a little surprised that the information was not proved prior to printing. The user manual directs you to charge the battery prior to your first use of the SNOW TOOTHBRUSH, the battery will be fully charged after 12 hours as stated in the user manual. The user manual recommends you keep the toothbrush on the charger when not in use. Keeping the toothbrush in the charger is handy, it keeps the toothbrush standing up where it can dry properly and maintains the charge. Be sure to lightly tap any excess water off the brush prior to placing the toothbrush in the charger or remove the Brush Head from the power unit (handle) and stand the Brush Head beside the charger. I do not believe you would want water running down the handle, from the Brush Head, and into the charging unit. The SNOW LED ELECTRIC TOOTHBRUSH does remove coffee stains quickly as opposed to my regular medium soft toothbrush and appears to do a thorough job of cleaning my teeth. Cleaning the toothbrush is the same as any other toothbrush. Rinse the brush clean of any excess toothpaste. A little pricey, for me, however time will tell the value of the product. After using it multiple times I feel that the SNOW LED ELECTRONIC TOOTHBRUSH is a quality product.

My daughter is a dental assistant. She tells me an electric toothbrush is the only way to go. But this toothbrush is way more than an ordinary electric brush. It whitens using LED light, and has multiple settings to clean and polish. I haven't used it long enough to determine if my teeth are whiter, but my mouth certainly feels clean after using it. Battery life is excellent. I've used it almost a week so far on 1 charge. My only complaint is that there should be more tactile feedback, like a flat section on the brush so you can know if the bristles are flat on your teeth. Otherwise, this is a solid, well made brush that I can highly recommend.

My 1st Snow product... packaged very well that includes a travel bag! On the down side it does not include an actual wall plug to charge the unit. It does come with a USB cord but you have to find the wall piece to use it - strange! It comes with 2 heads, one attached and an extra one. Upon researching I found that replacements are around $10! There are 4 modes, clean, polish, whiten and sensitive. I tried all of them and like that my teeth do feel cleaner after usage. I have used the whiten mode for over a week and can see a little lightening on my teeth. I like that it cycles for 2 minutes and pauses every 30 seconds to remind you to move around the mouth. I don't like that my toothpaste doesn't stay on the tiny brush so I have actually used my regular toothbrush a few times prior to using this - just to get a much cleaner feel to my mouth. Also, not only does it splash everywhere but it has and sound like a grinding noise when it hits another tooth, you have to keep your mouth wide open to avoid that. I do think it is priced too high for what you get. Yep, it cleans your teeth but for this price point I'm not sure I would recommend it to friends/family. I would recommend it if price point doesn't matter to you as it seems to whiten some - if that is what you intend to use this for. I'm sure there are whitening products by Snow and other manufacturers that will be less expensive.

I have had various electric toothbrushes over the years, both the ones that spin and the ones that vibrate. The Snow LED Electric Toothbrush uses the vibration method similar to it's competitors. It has 4 modes that change the intensity of the cycle depending on your needs. The packaging is elegant and the unit itself is well built and solid with a nice weight in hand. 1 extra brush head is included, although for the price point there should be 2 or 3. The charging base that was included only has a USB cable, so you'll need a wall adapter to plug it in unless you have wall outlets with USB-A ports built in. I'm sure the thought process was that it's less bulky for travel, but a better solution would be a travel case with built in charging and a built in USB cable, similar to the competition. The differentiating feature for the Snow toothbrush is the blue light that is emitted from the head. Snow started out as a teeth whitening system that used a "pen" to disburse whitening solution onto your teeth, then a few minutes using a mouth guard that emitted this same blue light. That system works very well for whitening. I believe the intention with this toothbrush is to enhance that system and to also bring new people into the Snow ecosystem. As a stand alone teeth whitening solution, I don't think this toothbrush would get you there. Maybe over time, but the blue light alone isn't what makes their other system work. It's the solution you put on your teeth combined with the light. This would be a great compliment to the overall Snow system, but I don't think it's a whitening solution on it's own. As an electric toothbrush, it's a nice option and does a nice job, on par with competitors at this price point. If the goal is purely to whiten teeth using this toothbrush, I think you will be disappointed and it's a bit gimmicky in that regard. But overall it does a good job as an electric toothbrush, so I deducted a half star for the odd charger setup and another half for only having 1 extra brush head.

First impressions: the packaging for this toothbrush was good quality. It includes a tote bag, which I’m not sure I’d use, 2 heads, and a charging station, and a USB cord. It does not come with a box to plug it into the wall. It also does not come with any type of travel box, which my other electric toothbrushes have come with, so that’s a downside for me since I travel quite a bit. The concept of this toothbrush was very exciting, I like the idea of getting a whitening effect while doing something I already do. The toothbrush was easy to assemble and easy to figure out. There are four options for the type of vibrations of the brush - Clean, White, Polish, and Sensitive. I have slightly sensitive teeth and personally I felt like the Sensitive vibration was more intense than the clean option, and also a weird vibration. I also didn’t particularly like the White or Polish options either, so I just stayed with the Clean option. It’s pretty standard to other electric toothbrushes, basic vibration with a good amount of power but not too intense. The toothbrush head I feel could use some improvements. I feel like I have to keep my mouth open extra wide to not hit my teeth with the bottom part. The bristles are longer than I would like an also very soft. I would be surprised if the bristles lasted for 3 months without damage or losing some. The toothbrush pauses every 30 seconds and stops at 2 minutes to encourage even brushing, which is standard. The downfall is if you turn it off quickly to spit, the timer doesn’t pick back up where it stopped, it just starts over again. As far as the LED light, I can’t speak to if it actually helps whiten. I can’t imagine that it has the same effectiveness as whitening strips, trays, or professional whitening, but it’s a good concept. Overall, considering the quality and price of this toothbrush, you can get something much better for equal or less. I prefer other professional brands of electric toothbrushes over this one. It’s a quality toothbrush, but there’s definitely room for improvement in the cleaning power and toothbrush head itself.

I currently use a national drug store chain toothbrush and it works pretty well. I had hopes for the Snow LED Electric Toothbrush as I’ve been reading and watching reviews on how much users like it. I opened the package to find a nice tote bag, but not sure why I would use it. I usually just take the unit and put it in my luggage along with other personal care items. I opened the box to charge the unit and saw that it uses a USB/A cord but doesn’t include a power adapter. Like most people, I have a few of these in use, but for this price point, I would expect to have one included, so the unit is complete. Buyers that don’t have a power adapter will have to locate one locally or online. So, I plugged the power base into my existing adapter and left it plugged in for the day. When I returned home, it was no longer blinking red and had a nice steady green glow, so ready to test it out. I do have sensitive teeth and I just had my teeth cleaned at my dentist in December. I wasn’t having any issues after the dental cleaning, but one use with the Snow toothbrush and I had some bleeding around a crown and an ache that lasted the rest of the day. I was able to take a pain reliever and massaged around the ache to keep it at bay. I will say my teeth felt clean after the use, but apparently, it is too aggressive for me. I did try the sensitive setting to see if it would massage the gum line, but it seemed just as strong as the clean setting. The only thing I can think of is that the bristles are too hard for my needs. If they are hard, maybe Snow could send out some soft bristle heads and I’d be glad to try again. The unit itself is well made and I’d like to be able to use it, but not with the pain I get after each use. For now, this will go in storage along with other items I hope to someday use. My suggestions to Snow would be to change the power cord to a 110v plug or include a power adapter for the current USB/c to USB/A cable. Also, to offer softer bristle powerheads.
