It's nice looking in the box
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Didn't really make sense at that price. Does the same as the cheaper one.. Power button too complicated for no reason. I returned it.

These Sound Really Good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was pleasantly surprised when I stuck these in my ears and fired them up. The bass is unbelievable. I've owned other, cheaper in-ear headphones and none of them had any bass response worth mentioning. I'm no audiophile, but I would actually say the headphones are a little bass-heavy. The mids and highs are clear, though. They do sound really good. I like the rubbery feel of them. To me, they are smaller in person than they look in the pictures. And that is ultimately the problem I had with them. I have the neck of a linebacker, and the cord that wraps around the back of the neck is too short. The headphones keep trying to fall off the back of my neck, especially if I raise my arms above my head to stretch.

Ok Sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones were...just okay. They are lacking on low end. The look of the phones is cool and they fit comfortably.

BEST wireless (EARBUD) headphones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tried Backbeat go 2, tracks air wireless (also by Sol Republic), but now i love these shadow wireless and will stick to them. Great styling (they could have made the neck band flexible to accommodate different neck sizes). Great bass, sounds (low and high end), ear buds fit well (but not exactly suitable when you are running or jogging), good battery life all day. I have the rich gray/rose gold color and love them. Control buttons could have been easier.

Sound great, and comfortable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased these to replace my failed pair of Samsung Gear Circles. I was advised by the Best Buy floor rep that the Sol Republic sounded great. I did find this to be true. The bass response was the best I've heard from any Bluetooth earbuds. I've owned four different models from three different manufacturers. The midrange and treble was great, also. The loudness of the Sol Republic Shadow was great. They were very comfortable in the ear, and also around the neck. The fact that they were very comfortable around the neck was actually a problem. They didn't fit snugly around the neck, so they constantly slid around, and sometimes fell off. That's a big problem, because I lost my LG Tone Pro set because of this! Other minor issues included lack of web support. I went to their website to look for details about their products and support, and reached a page saying they were revamping their site. The package of additional earbuds that came with the product said "Free earbuds for life", but since the site wasn't working, I could not get any details. Also, the instructions that came with the device were printed in black type against a dark background, so I couldn't see them. Had I been able to visit their website, it wouldn't have been an issue. Also, the Shadow doesn't have the ability to read your text messages aloud, or even vibrate. You need to be sure you're able to hear the notifications from your phone or tablet, or you actually need to have the earbuds in your ear in case you get a call or text to hear them. I ended up taking them back, and buying the LG Tone Ultra. Still, I would recommend the Shadow for someone whose primary concern is great sound.

Fantastic headphones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed new headphones after my cat looked cross-eyed at the flimsy set Apple includes with the iPhone, and decided to go wireless: less temptation for the cat, more convenience for me. My local Best Buy was slim on stock at first, so I picked up a Skullcandy set for $60. Those went back when the mic wouldn't pick my voice up on phone calls. Then I saw these beauties on sale for $84. They're amazing. So comfortable I forget I'm wearing them, bright and clear in the trebles with oomph in the bass, sturdy enough for my life (and my cat), and lovely minimalist style. The tech works well, too. It took me longer to settle them in my ears properly than to pair to my iPhone. Range is typical for Bluetooth - 30' optimal, less with walls in the way. Battery life is solid and recharging is quick. I like that the Shadow has a separate power button rather than incorporating on/off into the multi-function button. As far as fit goes, my neck is small enough that I can touch the ends of the Shadow around it. I've had no issues with sliding, which I did with the Skullcandy set whose center of weight was at the back of the collar. I actually have the opposite issue - when I jog, the weighted ends bang up and down against my collarbone. A couple of clips would fix that, though. Overall, I like the Shadow enough that I'm considering it as a gift for a couple of upcoming birthdays. Definitely recommend.

Good for non active people
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The headphones are really ccomfortable, have really good sound, and easy to operate; they are also flexible, you can literally tie them in a knot, but I don't recommend it. The biggest problem I have with them is they tend to slide around your neck, and will fall off if you're not careful. Also the battery indicator isn't fully clear, it uses a series of beeps to indicate battery level, we just gave up on using that feature; but you do get more than 3 hrs talk time on a charge.

Not for sports or outdoor activities
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This item works great for the purpose that was intended. However, i have a very active life and was looking for a quality product that could handle both, normal talking on the phone during working hours and music use for jogging, cycling, and other outdoor sports. This product was ok for calling, but was also the worst for outdoor activities. The good... For work (calling while driving, or typing) it was good, no great (a solid 3 stars). The sound was good, the calls were never lost, and the practicality of usage while multi tasking was awesome. It compleatly blocks outside noice so you have to be careful and aware of your souroundings. The only flaw is that the neck band will not stay in place, it keeps sliding to the side due to what i consider a major design flaw. I guess it can only be good for the office and for home usage. Did I mentioned the battery life is great? Well, it is, and is a lot better than other brands that i had before. The bottons are well situated, designed, protected, and work like a charm. The wireless connectivity works flawlessly and super fast. The bad... The bad is related to outdoor usage, which probably is not what they were designed for, but i didn't want to purchase two seperate items. There is probability more people out there like me, that will want to make only one expense for a product, and be able to use it for different purposes. This item will definitely not stay in place, it will literally bounce around while jogging, the ear piece will be constantly falling once it touces sweat, and this can be very annoying to the point that it renders the product useless. During a typical bike ride, the wind will unplug the earpiece and will move the neck band. You can tell this is a major design problem since there is no bouncing involved while riding, unlike walking or jogging. As much as i loved the sound quality, this item will be returned today for the reasons mentioned above. I sure expect more for the $100 that i spend. If anyone needs further assistance, leave a comment and will help as much as possible.

Great Headphones for the price.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these headphones for running and for the most part, they do the job well. Excellent sound quality from the earbuds and good construction. The only gotcha is that if I have my running watch synced to my phone, the headphones will occasionally get jittery with the music. This was easily solved by moving my phone to the other side from my watch. The only other con I have is that the main body slides around the back of my neck a bit while running, but haven't had any issues with the buds popping out of my ears.
