So you music is on shuffle and you hear a great song but dig this, you can't listen to it again without whipping out your phone and manually doing it (deal killer for me, will return). The sound quality is really good but I think it moves around way too much to as well. It needs more weighted toward the front! I would recommend but....

Good headphones for my purposes -- so far

I just got the Shadow headphones yesterday. I've been looking for wireless headphones to sleep with to block out external sounds that bother me like snoring. So far, with one night of use, these are the best I've tried so far. Here are my initial impressions. First, because of reviews stating various problems with these headphones that developed over time, I also got the 2-year Geek Squad replacement plan. PACKAGING The packaging is very good. I was impressed. OVERALL QUALITY Overall quality seems good. Only time will tell. I bought the Geek Squad plan to hedge my bets. The unit has a very flexible band that goes around the neck. It is very comfortable. It won't break because it is flexible. However, I would actually prefer one a little stiffer so it wouldn't move as much as it does. That said, the only time it moved to an awkward position off my neck was when I was awake. It didn't move out of place and the earbuds didn't come out of my ears while I was asleep. PHONE CALLS Calls with my Samsung Note III worked fine. I could hear other parties very well and they said they could hear me clearly. BATTERY LIFE Battery life has been one of the major issues I've faced in my search for headphones that would run for eight hours. I can attest that these ran seven continuous hours playing an mp3 sound track of waves on the first night. SOUND QUALITY I'm not an audiophile or some sound purist. The sound is okay for me. Perhaps a little light on the bass. COMFORT So far I have only used the basic set of ear tips. I would rate comfort for me and 8 on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being perfect. Most of the time I sleep on my side with one ear on a pillow. I could feel the pressure of the earbuds being pressed by the pillow, more on my right side. However, it was just tolerable in that the pressure didn't keep me awake. CONTROLS The controls are totally enclosed in plastic and thus cannot be affected by water. That's really not an issue for me in the environment I use them. When pressing buttons a sound is played in the earbuds. This doesn't effectively communicate the status of the device. In other units I've tried, a voice provides explicit status like "unit on", "powering off", etc. The Shadow simply plays some notes. It is supposed to provide battery status, however, there is only the musical tones which didn't actually provide useful information to me about the battery state. Perhaps I am missing something.

Not a good value, neck piece too flimsy and does not keep headphones securely around your neck. Great packaging though

The earbuds fit very well in my ear with the smallest cover. Most earbuds are too large to be comfortable for me. These work well for me at work, comfortable to wear. Sound is fine and the controls are easy to use. No issues pairing with my iPhone 6+

Wanting to get a jumpstart on my New Year's resolution to lose weight, I decided to begin running. I needed some decent Bluetooth headphones to give me freedom of movement and after comparing Best Buy's offerings, I settled on the Sol Republic Shadow Bluetooth earbuds. After seeing them up with my Galaxy S5 smartphone, I listened to some of my favorite tracks to see how the earbuds performed. The first thing I noticed was the punchy bass produced by the Shadows. On tracks like Ed Sheeran's "Runaway" and Pentatonix's "Can't Sleep Love" the lower frequencies had condiserable weight and I sometimes forgot I was listening to a pair of wireless earbuds. The Shadows also produced great imaging and clarity. I would highly recommend these earbuds especially if you're looking for great performance at an affordable price.

I've been working out regularly now for 8 months, about 6 days a week. I had been dropping my phone more frequently due to the corded headphones getting tangled in the machines and wanted a good set of wireless headsphones as I didn't want to break my phone. I received these as a Christmas gift and absolutely love them. The earbuds stay in my ears even when wet from sweating, the sound quality is great, blue tooth range is perfect. These would be absolutely perfect if i was able to bend the neck band in order to keep it in position around my neck when lifting weights and doing ab exercises. Irregardless of this I'm extremely pleased.

I first purchased the wireless beats by Dre. I returned them. I didn't like the fit or the sound quality. I Purchased these by Sol Repulic. I'm glad I did. The sound quality is great and they are also lightweight. Highly recommend.

After owning both LG Tone Pro and Ultra, I have to say, the Sol Republic Shadows are simply AMAZING. Bluetooth conectivity is oustanding, VERY good range. The sound quality is ASTONOSHING compared to LG. They are very sturdy and stylish, look much more elegant and are simply much more quality for your money. Do not hesitate to get a pair of these, they're worth every penny. I consider myself an extremely discerning guy. Look no further.
