I use my headphone mostly on my runs. Noise reduction is out of this world. One of the sides is sliding of my ear, don't know why. Neck bar is well balanced to keep it on my neck during run. Great headphones

Overall, these are absolutely great for all genres of music. Deep bass, high treble and good midrange punch. Only con is that the neck portion seems a little small and tends to slide around when moving around. Otherwise great purchase.

As soon as I saw that this was available at Best Buy. I saved up some money and went to the closest store to buy it. And I'm really happy to have bought it, because I use it most of the time. It's comfortable and the quality is great.

Best Blutooth buds I have tried!

I will start by saying that I have a mild addiction to headphones of all types, mostly ear-buds and over-the-ear. I impulse buy headphones under $150 way too often. However, that gives me the ability to see which ones perform better than others. From an over-the-ear perspective, My UE9000's are my favorite Bluetooth headphones for non-portable listening without cords (but they include cords if you want). In the category of the Sol Republic Shadow wireless ear-buds, I have had the LG Tone, the LG Tone Infinim, JLab Epic, and Motorola S11's. Each had their pluses and minuses. LG was not big on durability or sound, but was great on phone calls. Motorola gave me fit issues with them staying in the ears, and JLab sounded better musically, but people couldn't hear me talk. Then I found these. They are comfortable, very comfortable. I don't even realize I have them around my neck. The sound is fantastic. I thought I might lose some fidelity being wireless versus the Sol Republic Amps I have, and I was mistaken. These sound superb. With the included tips, I found a perfect fit, and I have no problems with them falling out of my ears. The design is simplistic, yet practical. The cords are very durable. Heck, the whole unit is durable, and well made. I love that they are flexible and can be tossed in my bag. They are not rigid or stiff like the others I have tried. No matter what music I queue up to play (hard rock, electronic, classical, etc.), the sound is very solid. People have had no problems hearing me when I am calls, and the battery life is solid. I have had this running constant during an 8 hour work day and never had it run out of batteries. Overall, this is an excellent product for the price. If I had to state 1 con, it would only be for certain users. I have to use a collared shirt with this so it stays in place. I am a big guy. Like 6' 3" 22" neck kind of guy. When I have this on with nothing but a regular t-shirt, it has a tendency to slip down off of my neck if it is not hooked in my ears. That is because when it goes around my big neck, the weighted ends are only 1/2 way around my neck. Movement causes them to slip backwards sometimes. For a user with a "normal" neck size, the ends should fall further down your neck towards your collar bone, and you won't have that problem. I can't blame the headphones for me being a large guy. They will fit superbly for most users. Get these! You won't regret.

so, i think these are pretty good for the price. one full charge will last me 5 full days and maybe a lil more. what i mean 5 full days is this, I turn them on while on my way to work, and i shut them down when i get to work. thats about a full hour of usage right there. i use them again when i leave work until i get home, thats about another hour of usage. doing this over the course of 5 work days i still have some juice left for weekend use. so i see a full week of usage for the amount of time i use them for. i'm not sure how everyone else will use them. the audio quality sounds great to me. the earpieces take some getting used to. when you put them in, they really cause a suction in your years so its muffles outside sound a lot. if your going to be talking to someone, better take them off your ears. also if you happen to pause the music and not play music for some time, but the bluetooth headset is still connected but in standby mode, i noticed when i turned the music back on, that there is some lag and disconnects every so often. but once i turned off the product and turned it back on, this issue corrected itself. the call quality is what i was worried about, but its pretty good. not as good as when your hearing music, but i would say they are about a step down in audio quality compared to say apple earbuds. i was able to hear the person on the other end very well, the one slight downside is since the mic port is on the neck portion of the headset and not on the earbud cord, you have to make sure there is no jacket or sweater or scarf covering the mic, otherwise the person on the other end may not hear you. but for the price and audio quality, i think its a purchase worth making.

I've been using these for three months. I pretty much use them daily for walking and some modest exercise and sometimes sleep in them. Pros - 1) They connect to your phone very fast and stay connected. If you hear clicking or interference see #4 below. 2) The sound quality is very good. 3) Water resistant - I've worn them in the shower! No problems with sweating. The usb charger flap seems to be holding up well. 4) They are durable - no noticeable signs of wear and tear. 4) Decent price point (under $80) 5) You get three or four sizes of rubber tips, try them out for the size that you like. 6) They are rated at 6 hours of play per charge - I haven't hit that limit yet - also they charge pretty quickly (blue light on headphone indicates completed. Red light is still charging). 7) Phone calls work - callers can always understand or hear me just fine (I just can't hear me - see #1 & 2 below). Cons - 1) In general - with ear plug headphones, you feel like you're wearing a stethoscope. You can hear your breathing and heartbeat and every step you take. I actually bought softer shoes to alleviate the noise in my ears while walking to the bus. 2) They really block out the noise around you, so be careful on the streets and on the bus. 3) The neck strap slides on your neck off to one side or the other. You will have to adjust it occasionally while active - like mowing the lawn or jogging - especially the sweatier you get. 4) Put the phone in your front right pocket because the antenna is on the right side of the headphone. Otherwise, you'll get more sound dropouts. 5) You can only skip a song, you can't go backwards with the controls on the headphones. Overall - for the price, I can't imagine a better quality ear bud headphone - they aren't perfect, but they work very well and sound very good. I listen to rap, rock, pop, and stream through hulu, netflix, youtube, apple music, google play music, and my phone, pc - i've tried it gaming once - meh.

The sound quality with this one is excellent. Good true base. I would've ranked it five stars, however, the only issue I have with it is while working out it is hard to stay in place. With proper fit of the earbuds, they stay in. But as I said the wraparound is a bit more flexible than others. Not low-quality, just hard to keep it in place. Over all the sound quality, battery life, and use is very good. No issues so far. Owned for about six months.

    Not For Working Out

These headphones are a true mix of positive and negative. The Positive: Great sound that comes through clear no matter what genre. They cancel out most, if not all of the surrounding noise. They have a nice design that rest on your neck when you're not moving. They can connect to Smart TVs The Negative: These are NOT for working out in, no matter the type of workout. When running, the fall to one side, and have to be adjusted constantly. When lifting weights, the fall off completely during a variety of motions. When playing a sport, they bounce around until the fall off. More often than not I have trouble getting them connected, and when I do, it takes more time to get them to stay connected. Usually I have to turn them on and off once or twice before they will stay on for a good amount of time. They don't have a great range. I'm talking 10ft and things get choppy. The battery life is iffy at best.

I would like to say that I really enjoy the Shadow headphones that I purchased but I am having a problem with single between my devices and my headset. I have a IPod 5th Generation running IOS 8.4 and a IPad Air 2 running IOS 8.4 and I have problems when I am outdoors with the single being lost. Normally I run my stuff off of ITunes and listen to my IPod which I keep in my pant pocket and when I am in a outdoor environment I will loose single or it will break up. The same happens with the IPad I will be listening to music put it in my backpack and will almost always loose the single or it will break up so much that I have to switch back to my regular wired headphones. When I am indoors I do not have the same single problem. I would think that there shouldn’t be much of a problem when the devices are less then 2 to 3 feet from each other. (ie. pant pocket or my backpack over my shoulder which is even closer.) The IPod seems to keep a single better then the IPad. I have tryed to contact Sol Republic about the problem but haven't heard back from them in weeks. Overall I like the light weight of the product, the sound and the construction but for overall reliability Id have to say Indoors great Outdoors ok.

The sound quality is pretty good for being wireless. I purchased these the same time I purchased the Plantronics BackBeat Fit. Between the two, these SOL republics have better sound quality overall than the Plantronics BackBeat Fit. As for workouts/running, I found that these headphones did not sit very well around my neck. The neck is a little too short in my opinion and slightly heavy. They would slide off and when I did certain workouts, they would pull and slip right off. The SOL Republic Shadow is not necessarily made for working out, but I really did enjoy the sound quality and wanted to see how durable they were. It dropped once due to it slipping off, but it still worked well. The call quality was good and clear sounding. Range between device and headphones was a decent 10-20 ft before breaking up. Overall, these headphones are best for light use. Light walking, office use, studio use, etc. These are not meant for intense workouts. Sound is crisp, clear, and decent bass.

The 10hz-20Hz gives you excellent bass, music spectrum is fantastic. Can anyone beat 8 hrs. playing time? Buds are vey comfortable. I would have given this a 5 had it not been for the one flaw. It kept falling off to either the left or right side of my neck due to the poor rubber design that goes around your neck. Great value for your money.

Pros: sound quality is great, the buds do block out a lot of outside noises, the buttons are easy to navigate and predominant. Good battery life, I rarely need to charge it during the day of I remember to plug it in at night. Cons:they are not very collar shirt friendly, no traction so it also moves around on a lot of shirts or just falls off. I don't are how these could be very friendly for anyone working out, they have a tendency of falling off with much movement and I'm am average to smaller build person. I chose these after my LG tone pros died from a fried chip, I liked the magnetic golfer for the buds and miss it, these have better sound.

I love the idea of the wireless earbuds. I find them to be very comfortable and it is great for when I am listening to something on my phone as it is bigger then my iPod and harder to carry. I can leave it in my purse or if I will be in the same area (working in the kitchen for example) i can just leave the iPod or phone on the counter--I can evan leave it plugged in while I listen. The reason I didn't give it a 5 is that the range with my phone is very small. The range with the iPod is larger. I also get static sometimes even when the device is on me. Lastly, it will un-pair the bluetooth and sometimes it is hard for it to pair up again. Sometimes if I go out of range, when I get closer again I have to pair back up with bluetooth. Overall, lightweight, comfortable and easy to wear. Sound quality good except the few instances where I had static. But, few glitches with bluetooth.

I was about to buy one of the LG wireless headphones when I saw this one online. Reviews were pretty good so I decided to go check it out and picked it over LG. The neck part is made of soft plastic and feel more comfortable than the LG; sound quality is very good; you really forgot you wear it within a few minutes- I use it with both Iphone and HTC android. They can be paired with 2 phones at a time. And the battery life is way better than expected; I charge it twice a week but always have plenty of battery left before doing it. i use it for calls and to listen to musics during the day. I really like isolation from the outside you get from this king of headphones. Great buy!

I really want to give these a 5 star rating just because the sound quality is awesome and the bass is ridiculous. I own Beats by Dre and these sound wayyyy better. However, they didn't do the Bluetooth range correctly. You can go about 15 ft away but it gets distorted if you go any further. I basically have to keep my phone in my pocket. I would like to leave the phone on my desk and freely walk around. Its true, one earpiece may fall out of your ear from time to time. And, the neck part will move as well. I can live with both of those but the Bluetooth range is really my only issue. I own the corded Sol Republic headphones and these sound just as good as those. The call quality is crisp and clear, and the pairing is super easy. I was so happy to see that they finally made a Bluetooth headset. With a little tweaking these would be perfect.

As a user of Samsung Gear Circle, Samsung Level, Motorola Buds, and LG Tone Pro, I was attracted to the Sol Republics for the sound quality when playing music. The music sounds quality is by far the best among all Bluetooth sets I have used. Bass is deep and full while the mids are broad and the highs are clean and clear. This is my headset of choice while doing activities that I listen to music. It is adequate for phone call use while listening to music, but not the most secure during those in-between call times when but playing music. The headset easily slips off your neck when the ear buds are not secure in your ears, at one point falling to the ground where it could easily have been lost. If these had some for of clip (like the Samsung Gear Circle) that holds then securely in place on your neck when not in use, I would need no other.

I was a little unsure when I bought these headphones. (I actually went in to just get new Apple EarPods.) But after using them for a month or so, I love the Sol Republic Shadow. They fit very comfortably and don't way down on your neck. The sound quality is great and the battery seems to last a long time. I've used them for a couple days without charging, but I typically just plug them in to charge when I get home. The two "problems" I have are small, and one of them is a purposeful design choice. When you don't have the buds in your ears but are still wearing Shadow around your neck, the buds just hang on their wires, bouncing all around as you walk. I suspect Sol Republic would say that if you're not listening, you can take them off and easily put them in your pocket (they are very flexible), but sometimes I don't want to do that. The second thing that I actually don't like is that there is no way to go back or replay a song. You can skip forward, but there is no equivalent of the triple-click to go back. VERY annoying. Otherwise, buy these AWESOME headphones!!
