I just bought the new Arlo Security Light and Camera combo. I bought this charger at the same time and it is wonderful not having to worry about climbing on a ladder to change the battery. I have 4 more Arlo Pro cameras that I will buy the Arlo Solar panel chargers for.

What an excellent way to keep my battery charged. Installed easy and have had no issues. Hopefully stormy weather won’t affect it. Good thing I added a protection plan.

Very easy to install. I decided to put mine on the rooftop get the best exposure. I don't know if the elements will hurt the panel, but living in Upstate New York we don't get a lot of simon the winter months. Charged quickly and has held it's charge. I do recommend. Location is everything with this.

Installed the solar panel easily (once I decided where I wanted to place it after figuring out where it would get the most direct sunlight). It does come with an 8 foot cord, which may be a bit too short or too long, depending on how far from the camera you’d need to place it. All-in-all, it’s a lifesaver from having to climb up and down a ladder once or twice a month to take the camera down to charge it. It automatically charges once it drops below a certain point. Love the peace of mind it provides. Has done well in high winds...we’ll see how it does once it snows really good.

    Convenient Power, Simple Installation

I purchased this for mounting a security camera at a remote location where it would have been challenging to run a dedicated outlet for it if I were to use an AC adapter to power the camera. Installation was a breeze -- three screws in the mount base, a thumb screw to mount the panel to the base, and plug the cord into the camera. That was it! Very slick and easy. I purchased 4 of these and you do need good access to sunlight for it to be effective -- 3 of the 4 keep the camera battery at 100% all the time but the 4th one is partially shaded with trees and it isn't enough to keep the camera battery at 100%. Caveat emptor.

These chargers are excellent. We bought these for our house house cameras. They have worked absolutely perfect and keep the charge going for all four cameras. The ease of installation was also quite perfect. The panels blend in quite well due to the small size and the white color. The only con - I would like to see more color options or perhaps a skin for them. Although it works for our white house it would be nice to have choices.

This was a real easy install. 20v hand drill and 15 mins later it was up and plugged in. All you need is about 4-5 hours of daylight to hit the panel to keep your arlo fully charged. On negitive I can say is that for the price netgear could include nail in cable stays.

Couldn’t just get one after seeing how elk this item works! So I got one for all my cameras. No more changing batteries to charge (am in sunny California). One camera was at 32%, and instead of charging it up first and then installing and connecting it to the solar panel I just connected it, and by the next day it was at 100%. It’s stayed there as well as the others at 100% consistently. I am sooooo glad I got these , totally worth the money for the time and convenience it saves . Be sure to get one for each camera so you’ll never need to worry about battery changes (you’ll be glad you did).

One less electricity sink in home

Although I wanted to get one of this to go with the camera, I wondered if it would keep up with potential battery drain from camera. So far I've been impressed by how well it pretty much keeps tha battery in the camera fully charged constantly. I've also noticed it still charges even when the sun is no longer shining directly onto the surface of the panel. I'm glad I bought it and don't have to worry about adding one more sink onto my home electricity. As to its setup, there's effectively none. Other than mounting where desired, the rest is plug-n-play.

Very easy to install. It does not fit well if you use the magnetic attachment on the camera. I had to buy the peg thing. My camera consistently sticks to 95-100% power and the camera is triggered a lot!

So here goes, my review on the 5 stars is based on the following: 1. You do not have too much traffic for the camera this is going to be used on. 2. Do NOT think that this will be enough charge to keep an active 24/7 camera charged all the time 3. Great if it sees enough sun daily to keep it charged. That being said, much better than me trying to wire up power for certain outdoor cameras. I wired some, and used this for others. Keep in mind my tips above if deciding to use this solar panel charger.

I should have bought this a long time ago. Having my cameras connected to solar panels prevents the annoyance of going up a ladder every month to replace the batteries. I no longer need to worry about the batter power on my cameras. I have all of my cameras connected to solar and it is the Best Buy I have made for piece of mind. Easy to connect. Just make sure you have at least 1/2 a day worth of sun and you are set.

Picked up two of these solar panels for a couple Arlo Pro 3 cameras. I mounted one of them on the roof with plenty of direct sunlight and the other was mounted to a westward exterior wall, next to the camera and under gutters. Obviously the more direct light the better as the roof mounted panel maintains 100% charge even with weather variances, but even so, the other panel provides enough to maintain and still charge with just ambient light.

If you want to hang your cameras high up on the side of your house on the stucco and not want to climb up on your 10 foot or 14 foot ladder every 15 or 30 days, get this product!!!!! I have one and Its durable and when you go to your app to look at your camera you can see that the battery is at 100% almost all the time day or night. It's worth getting.... also purchase the 2yr warranty on it in case the solar panel stops working....
