I have these speakers in my kitchen ceiling and not too concerned about sound travelling upstairs. You could probably accomplish the same thing by adjusting your EQ for lower bass response. I ended up returning this item, but I can see how it would benefit some installations.

Otherwise the product is great. Quality construction, great design for a drywall ceiling for sure.

I didn’t notice any difference in the sound quality from before and after I added this cover. We can now enjoy a louder surround sound when watching movies.

I could never get anyone on the phone nor did anyone call me back! I gave 2 starts because the fit and finish are clean. But I would not buy anything from them again.
