This is the best Sonic game in years. I haven’t had this much fun playing Sonic The Hedgehog since the Dreamcast days. And it’s easily the best 2D so nice since Sonic CD. Brilliant level design. Super fast. Great music. Everything about this is old-school Sonic quality. It’s truly a blast (no pun intended). Welcome back , Sonic and Tails… We’ve missed you. Highly recommended.

Playing this classic Sonic game throws me straight back into the 90's when Sega Genesis added Sonic as the included game sold with the console. Sonic The Hedgehog is one of my all-time favorite classic games, right along side Pac-man.

Great value. Really hits the sweet spot if you enjoyed the classic Sonic titles of the Genesis era. Picked this up for $20 and absolutely no regrets. If you had a Genesis back in the day you'll appreciate the love and care that went into recreating some of the level designs.

Sonic Mania is a great throwback to the classic 2D sonic games of the past. Redesigned level structure and colorful graphics update Sonic and friends for the 21st century. If you are craving a trip down memory lane or want to introduce new players to the addictive platforming of your youth look no further than Sonic Mania!

BEST 2-D SONIC GAME TO DATE! With that out of the way, my reason for saying this is that this game takes everything that made Sonic the Hedgehog so great during the Genesis era, and improved on it greatly, and if you get the Plus DLC, the game gets even better! Music, content, graphics, control, all it's just so well done, it's all almost perfect! The difficulty balance is also really good. Don't drop your guard tho.

This game is a tribute to the classic Sonic games. It has remixed and new levels, a retro style, and a fun gameplay. It is challenging, nostalgic, and creative. It also has a co-op and a versus mode. It is a must-have for Sonic fans. I rate it 5 stars.

Such a fun game! Takes me back to my childhood with the classic gameplay and reinvented levels. Love how they mixed in other Sonic games like Dr. Robotnics Mean Bean Machine and Sonic 3D Blast. If you liked Sonic on the Genesis or Game Gear I highly recommend this game! Can’t beat the price of either! Replayable because you can select a different character (Sonic, Tales or Knuckles) at the beginning. Tales is my personal favorite to play with.

This was a good Christmas present for my grandson and it was worth the price.
