This game has the nostalgia of the original games with better graphics. Its fun and irritating like the originals. If you're a Sonic fan this is a must buy.

It’s a great game with beautiful graphics and is a pretty fun game as well, although the price is a bit much for a game that only lasts around 3-4 hours.

This game has EXCELLENT character models and animations, but the level design and enemy placement is so bad that it seems randomly-generated. There's no flow and trying to go fast outside of a scripted spot just gets you punished. Bosses are horribly unfair with one-hit deaths and constant pits.

Nice visuals, but still the usual sonic movement issues. If you're a big sonic fan and know the nuances of how to succeed/play, you'll be right at home. If you're like the rest of us, the game does almost nothing to teach you how to get and maintain motion in order to navigate levels. I was constantly losing momentum - that and the bosses are as basic as ever. Poor hit boxes, unresponsive and loose sonic jumping, etc. Mini-game worlds are basic and gimmicky. This game is about doing more of the same, continued lack of quality of life included. Pair that with Sega promoting the game as including an acrylic standee that very few actually received, and you've got an FTC-worthy issue in false advertising. Sega may have actually mislead consumers in order to get full-price preorders locked in. Boo on them.
