Been waiting for this title to go down in price, and I was finally able to nab it recently. Grew up playing the Sonic games, and this faithfully captures the essence of the character. Jim Carrey steals every scene he's in as Dr. Robotnik. A kid's movie top to bottom, but really enjoyable for all ages.

Great movie love It and so did the rest of the family. Good quality blu-ray Don't let people exacte how great 4k is when u don't use the full screen id dont really look any good at all I will stick to bluray for the fact that until 4k is full 4k on all DVD or digital copies its not worth buying 4k dvds

Videogame movies have a long sordid history of not being particularly good. Sonic the Hedgehog manages to buck many of the problems though not all but still being an endearing movie with a fun plot and good use of Sonic. Jim Carrey is also a delight as Dr. Robotnik. Last movie I saw in theaters before the world shut down.

Long live physical media! By that I mean, buy discs NOW as they won't be around much longer. I'd be surprised if Best Buy still had discs on the shelves in three years. This movie is a great campy family film, and caused a resurgence in the games for a new generation. My kids play the originals on Nintendo switch!

I went a long time passing on this movie, because it never looked at all interesting to me. I was never a fan of the Sonic video games or of Jim Carrey in roles like this. One night I had nothing else to watch and put this on simply out of boredom. I was surprised that I actually enjoyed it. Not a great movie but still a fun popcorn movie. Good enough that I bought it after watching it.

The movie is pretty good, way better than I thought it would be. Jim Carrey was amazing! Not Ace Ventura one amazing but definitely Ace 2 good. The steel book is the reason this got all 5 stars. If you're a collector or game nerd it comes with a comic and just looks awesome not to mention digital copy

Video game movies don't exactly have a good track record. The benchmark for the longest time was Mortal Kombat a movie that I would best describe as above average. However, Sonic the Hedgehog was a movie that I definitely had a good time with. Thank GOD they redid the Sonic graphics because many of the more emotional scenes of the movie would simply not have worked with the original design. Great video game movie! I watched this at the theatre, it was nice. I decided to buy my own copy to show it to the kids. They love the movie! My 4 year old now always has keeps a sonic cushioned toy close to her because she is a fan of sonic after watching the movie. She likes to run like sonic too!

This movie is super fun for the whole family! If your a fan of sonic you’ll like this movie and your kids will like it to and you’ll probably want to play a sonic game after watching this movie. Jim Carrey does a great job in this movie as the villain and I’m hoping they are making a sequel to this!

I went into this movie not expecting much, as most movies based off of video games are not that good. But i enjoyed it, and Jim Carey does a great job playing the bad guy in this movie. If you have a subs it will def give them a workout, has very nice LFE and has a decent Atmos track as well.

I have to admit, I liked it more just because of Jim Carrey being the bad guy Mr. Robotnik. If you have ever played the game growing up. It is a must to have, this movie has enough Easter Eggs from the game to keep you guessing if you missed something. Most likely... Can't wait for part two.

I know thats not a very high bar with the many travesties of video game adaptations that have come along. Fresh take on an old character great for the kids and welcome back over the top carey which actually works very well for this film. Ill see sequel in the theaters but you should add this to your collection!

I saw this movie when it first came out. This is such a great and funny movie. Bought this for a Christmas gift during Black Friday. Best Buy always has amazing deals! My son is going to be so happy! Plus it even comes with a digital copy so that my son can watch it on his phone or tablet.

Didn't think I'd like this movie all that much seeing as how video game movies tend to not be good. WELL that's no longer the case. I really enjoyed this movie. It was actually a pretty fun movie. Jim carrey was the jim carrey of old in this and I enjoyed every second he was on screen. Sonic was great too. Glad they changed his design cause I feel like if they kept it I would've been distracted by how awful he looked before. Definitely worth a watch.

Coming into this, I had very low expectations for this movie. But I am happy to say that I was Pleasantly surprised at how good this movie really is! Good acting, story was good, and Jim Carrey as Dr. robotnik was perfect casting. I can’t wait for the sequel!

This film completely exceeded my expectations, especially for a family movie. There are quite a few jokes put in for older audiences and they hit quite well. Really faithful to the legacy of the Sonic The Hedgehog franchise whilst being it's own seperate thing from the games and comics.

Only giving 4 stars because the Steelbook design isn't really that great. The quality of the print is phenominal, don't get me wrong, but I would have liked to have seen something a bit more creative. Comic is on thick cardstock with really great colors and crisp artwork. This movie smashes the "video game movies are bad" thought within the first ten minutes. I look forward to sequels. Quality "classic" Jim Carrey acting too, by the way.

Very fantastic addition to my collection. Really awesome pictures on the outside as well as on the inside! The small comic book is a cool read before watching the film along with some 16-bit style art on the cover and pages. Fantastic detail and resolution when you watch it in 4k quality!

I did not expect to have so much fun with this movie! I loved it; it's great seeing Jim Carrey tap into the things that made him big in the 90's. It looks like the entire cast had fun in this movie which makes you feel it too. Sure some of the puns are too punny but that's all I got that's negative :)

I really enjoyed the movie, & it could be because the era I grew up in, because it was when Sonic was new & just came out for all us. I was skeptical at first, however the movie was awesome I felt, and again this movie would be great for us old people & young ones alike, highly recommend the movie.
