I love these over-the-ear headphones!!! I got these whenever I started graduate school, and they were such a lifesaver, especially when I needed to use the noise cancellation. The battery life is amazing, I barely have to charge them, and whenever I do, it does not take long to charge. The noise cancellation is amazing, and I use it all of the time. The sound is amazing, and unlike a few different over-the-ear headphones I tried, the top part does not hurt my head after using them for a couple of hours. Definitely worth the money!

The Sonos Ace headphones present a mixed bag. For those already invested in the Sonos ecosystem, such as those who own a Sonos Arc, the Ace could be a worthwhile addition. However, if you already own high-end headphones like the Apple AirPods Max (APM), Sony WH-1000XM5, Bose QC Ultra, or Focal Bathys, the Ace might not offer enough to justify the investment.
The headphone market is competitive, and alternatives like the Focal Bathys and Apple APM stand out at this price point. Sonos missed an opportunity to differentiate the Ace in a crowded marketplace, especially considering their strong brand and technological prowess. Notably, the Ace lacks features like Hi-Fi, Lossless sound over Wi-Fi, and the ability to play music from the Sonos app, which is significant oversights.
In terms of sound quality, the Ace delivers loud and satisfying bass but lacks the depth and refinement of the Bathys. The mid-range and vocal clarity are decent but do not match the detailed and immersive experience provided by the Bathys. Instrumental separation is also not as tight, making the soundstage feel less defined. I find the sound stage and audio quality slightly below the Apple APM, but that may just be my personal preference.
The Ace excels in comfort, being the most comfortable headphones I've worn since the Bose QC45s. The APM, while providing good sound quality, is heavy and can become fatiguing quickly. The Bathys are comfortable but have smaller ear cups.
For Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), the Ace and APM perform equally well, while the Bathys fall short, especially for frequent travelers. In terms of Dolby Atmos, the APM outperforms the Ace, which does not effectively utilize this feature, and the Bathys do not support it at all.
Overall, while the Sonos Ace offers solid performance, especially in comfort and sound quality, it does not surpass the excellence of the Focal Bathys and is almost on part with the APM. I personally don't see a compelling reason to choose over other high-end headphones.
It sounds like you've thoroughly evaluated the Sonos Ace headphones against other high-end options. Thank you for your feedback. It is insights like yours that continue to help us make a difference with our products!

Great headphones. Very seamelss to connect with my phone and computer. Also the Tv swap option is very nice. Generally pretty comfortable but can get hot after a while. Music wise is also pretty good alrhough i think airpod max is just slightly better, but they are so uncomfortable so its not worth it.

I’ve been using the Sonos Ace headphones mainly for podcasts and audiobooks, and they’ve completely elevated the experience. Voices sound incredibly clear and natural—like the narrator is right in the room. The balance is perfect: rich enough to feel full-bodied but never muddy or overbearing.
The comfort is another big win. I can wear them for hours without fatigue, and the noise cancellation keeps me focused, even in noisy environments. The build quality feels premium, and the seamless Bluetooth connection is exactly what I hoped for—quick, stable, and reliable.

Aside from the lack of WiFi streaming support, the Aces are a home run of an entry into the headphone market for Sonos. Great sound, great comfort, great noise cancellation, good battery life, high end design.

The sonos aces are built very well and look amazing. They also have very good anc that is just slightly behind sony and bose. They are by far the most comfortable headphones I have ever used. The aces are almost perfect in every way but sadly the sound quality is just ok. The bass is muddy and the mids are uneven leading to vocals sometimes being too quiet, the treble can sometimes be harsh because somewhere their is a bump around 4k hertz that is bad. This could have been improved if sonos at least had a three band eq at launch but instead we got only bass and treble sliders that dont fix the problem areas. Sonos need to release an update fixing the eq or give us a five band eq like the Sony's. It is baffling that a sound company misses this bad when it comes to sound but somehow perfected everything else.
It sounds like you've had a comprehensive experience with the Sonos Ace headphones, appreciating their build quality, design, and ANC performance. Thanks for sharing your detailed review and keep up to date on all upcoming updates to Ace via our website!

These are my current favorite headphones. superb sound quality. Superb battery life. I wear these to the gym 4-5 days a week and sweat on them. No flaws. Battery life is excellent and I only charge them once a month. The fit feels better than apple AirPods Max and I think the sound quality beats the apple as well.

I've been a Sonos system geek for over a decade with my whole house wired and wireless and at my fingertips. I held out but finally added ACE to the system and love that I can use while watching TV and everyone else can listening to the soundbar and speakers. They deliver fantastic sound and great voice clarity. They are also most comfortable headphones I've ever owned!

Amazong quality and comfort. I wore them to Japan for over 10 hours and not once did i feel tired from the wear. They clamp well but offee increadibly soft cups. Noise cancellation better than my Sony XM4 and Bose Ultra quiet comfort. The sound is superior for a cleaner signature. Not as bassy as Sony but that is good and fully adjustable to preference. The app is not the best and home theater features are limited to use with the Arc. Either way they are best bluetooth headphones and most comfortable i have ever experienced for my personal fit.

LOVE MY SONOS. The sounds quality is great. Super comfortable, long lasting battery life. Best part is the ease of use from switching the sound from the Sonos speakers to headphones instead.

I bought the Ace because I wanted ( not needed) a pair of over air headphones to run alongside AirPod pros , so after extensive online research plus I already had a Sonos system installed at home I decided on them . I found them ok even to a point of ‘did I really want them , but I found that everytime I wore them the more I liked them .why. The fit was good but got better, the sound was ok but got great , the presentation , look , feel and quality was my ‘oh yeah’ out the box . So now as far as my Ace is concerned they are a need and a must . If you don’t mind returning the head adjustment to default for it to fit back in the case then you’re good to go . I’m stoked by the Ace I can now say whenever I unzip that carrying case I smile .

After a year to make it work it is supposed to work had finally arrived. Works amazing with Sonos system et all. I can finaly watch and listen within my ecosystem without bothering anyone late at night. Calls and other functionality great. Top quality sound wired like it's meant to be Hifi plus. Wireless connectivity sound on the top 2. Comfort.. best out there. Buy it

Super comfy and sound quality is great. Overall doesn’t boost sound artificially. If you want boomy bass, for now not really a good option. The headband doesn’t feel heavy. I really like the ability to stream lossless to the headphones but if you don’t have aptx, the included cable is great. Wish it was longer but it’s fine for now.

Amazing Sound, Super Comfortable, Highly recommended. I would say they are on par with the Airpods Max, certainly more comfortable. The sound is how can i describe it, easy and crisp and authentic is how i would describe it. Really have to listen for yourself to understand what i mean. The audio tv swap is incredible with the Sonos Soundbars. I could not recommend this enough if you are in the SONOS as well as the Apple Ecosystem.

I have really enjoyed the sonos ace. They are built bery well, they are comfortable enough to wear all day. The sound is immersive and is great for all media types. I think they are a great value for the price as well.

The sound quality on these Sonos headphones is excellent. The balance between highs and lows is spot-on, and they handle a wide range of music effortlessly. I listen to everything from EDM and rap to country, and the headphones adapt really well to each genre without missing a beat.
The noise cancellation is awesome and very effective. My only small gripe is that there’s just one noise-canceling mode—you either have it fully on or off. I wish there were more adjustable levels to fine-tune it, but that’s more of a personal preference than a dealbreaker.
Overall, these are great headphones with fantastic sound and strong noise cancellation. I highly recommend them.

My first pair were defective and made a weird noise, but I got this pair and they're the most amazing headphones I've ever owned. I love them. They've single handedly saved me from leaving Sonos. The features (like transferring audio from soundbar to the headphones with one button is a god send for a crazy noisy house). I love them. Audio quality is fantastic, and they crush my Airpods Max for both audio quality and comfort.
The only thing I'd ask for is more supported HiFi/Lossless Codecs so my Pixel could connect via lossless.

These are wonderful you will not be disappointed. The noise canceling is absolutely phenomenal. The removable magnetic earpieces are cozy and comfortable and stay put on your ears. The adjustable headband stays put where you set it. Easy to use buttons on the earcups. With the app you're able to set the base treble balance. Has spacial awareness feature so when you move your head the sound will follow. Has a 30 hour play time. Comes in 2 colors. I have the white. Also comes with c cable charge wire and 4mm cable, even cable pouch is magnetic. Very happy
