I ordered this on 8/24 and received it 9/18. It took a while but I finally got it.
$800 isn't chump change but to get a soundbar of this quality at this price, its a great value assuming your budget can handle it. This competes with high end soundbars.
The sound took me some time to get right. You really want to get yourself an iPhone (whether its yours or a buddies), and setup Truplay. It does make a difference. You'll be waving your phone around the room which looks a little funny but the results are good.
There's limited EQ adjustment, you only get to adjust Bass and Treble. There is no Mid or in between frequency adjustments. The bass on the soundbar itself is just adequate. Not room thumping. Definitely an improvement over typical TV speakers. I have an LG CX OLED which has pretty decent sound by itself but this soundbar is a clear upgrade.
If you're kind of a bass head, not even, if you want to really feel your sound, then you'll want to do something about it. Your options are limited to the Sonos ecosystem which gets expensive. $700 for a sub was difficult to part with. I ended up doing it but another option is to get two Play 5 speakers (which would be about $800-1000) and use them as rear surrounds without a sub. Believe it or not, the Play 5's have very good bass performance and can work just about as good without the dedicated sub.
Of course, I didn't have that foresight and I bought the Arc first. Then the Sub. Then a pair of Ikea Symfonicks ($99ea + $20ea for the wall mount, which also make nice shelves at the same time). All in thats about $1740,
If I had just got the Arc with 2 Play 5's, I could have been all in at $1600 since you can find the Play 5's at a slight discount. You can add the sub later for serious room thumping sound. Another thing to consider is the size of the Play 5 speakers and whether you want two speakers of that size behind you.
But all the configuration options is part of the beauty of the Sonos system. You don't have to get everything all at once. You can add as you go along. Also the popularity of the Sonos keeps the resale value in the used market pretty high. Try that with the high end LG or Samsung soundbars.
I do recommend getting the rear surrounds before the Sub no matter which rear surrounds speakers you decide to get. The rear surrounds make a bigger difference to me then the extra bass with the sub.
Bottom line: if you're looking at an Atmos soundbar at this price range, I think you'll be happy with the product. I'm very happy with it.

I was in the market for a new surround system when my aging Onkyo system finally failed. I got this soundbar as the base to the Sonos ultimate setup. Having come from a traditional 5.1 setup I was skeptical that this would produce the same immersive setup.
The main driver for me moving to Sonos was to eliminate wires since the builders would not run them for me when my house was built and having vaulted ceilings made running them myself more challenging. I initially just connected this soundbar and was amazed at how well it performed. Once I connected the bar to the Sonos Sub and Era300s I was blown away. The Trueplay setup creates a virtual diagram of the room and configures the system for your environment.
Having vaulted ceilings impacts the units ability to produce height effects via Atmos but with an adjustment in my placement I am still able to get some of those effects. When they hit, it is a thing of beauty.
Overall I am very impressed with this setup and will continue to buy Sonos in the future.

Absolutely phenomenal sound quality, it ended up not getting the subwoofer because with my experience with Sonos I didn’t think I needed it an I was correct, the Arc packs such a punch with the Dolby atmos it’s fantastic, just make sure when you do get it to take advantage of the Sonos TrueTone to really get the best experience for your space

If you’re serious about upgrading your audio and want that theater-like experience at home, the Sonos Arc is absolutely worth it. I personally Highly recommend this.
Because the experience after upgrading i am having now is amazing sound bar sound is always crisp and clear its been year now I am using this. I use my sound bar with home theater setup daily.
Sometimes 3D effect of this sonos whole soundbar setup makes me feel like that I am right in the middle of the action. whether it’s a movie or a game, the sound fills the room in a way feels like natural coming from the exactly same direction.
Super happy with this

Awesome soundbar! Really elevates the home theater setup. Paired it with a pair of Era 100s and it does a great job!

We love this soundbar! It is a great improvement over the Bose that we purchased first and returned when it malfunctioned. The sound is great but the features are even better. It has built in voice activation that allows you to just say "Sonos, mute" when the phone rings or "Sonos, increase the volume", etc. And, it has a number of adjustments like nighttime sound (diminishes the big booms so kids can sleep) or dialogue enhancement that makes dialogue more clear and also the ability to adjust the sound to personal preferences. The features alone make this soundbar so worth it. I am now a big Sonos fan!!

It’s amazing how much this changed the game. I live in a small one bedroom apartment and wanted something that could do Atmos and just sound amazing I’m general. This does that and even has great bass without disturbing my neighbors …. Though I am look at the sub mini for that extra kick haha. The arc is a little pricy but unfortunately in electronics you usually do get what you pay for.

These are some of the best all around speakers I have purchased for my home. I love the easy of out of the box set up with Sonos app. The biggest reason I love these products is the everywhere feature. Having the ability to hear my music seamlessly is a must!

Really love this soundbar from Sonos. We went with the white colored model, since it is sitting on a white mantel. The packaging was outstanding. It was fairly easy to set up and get connected. The power cord is a little hard to push in to the back of the device. You really have to press hard. The sound quality is great for TV and pretty good for music. It does help to use the Trueplay Tuning feature and tune the device for your room and environment.

This is a premium sounds bar, it was easy to set up and super easy to use the app. Even with the bass and treble set at default its got some power to it, then with the levels increased and maxed out its top tier sound. The apps you can connect and use directly from the Sonos app is impressive.

The unit it's self is very good. I have a hearing problem and this sound system is the best I have heard, not perfect for me but I'm sure with my hearing problem it's the best I am going to get. On the down side there is no remote control for the unit and it's controlled by the ap. which has to be placed on your cell phone. As I'm not and never have been a great lover of cell phones to me it's inconvenient. The unit is expensive and I think should include a remote control.

Will never use another company, ao long as the quality of Sonos is here to stay. You will not be disappointed if you purchase any part kf the system! Would definielty buy again!

My old reciever went out shortly before I moved to a new house. After much research, my larger living room would have needed another receiver anyway. Upon deciding to build my own speakers for my new system, I needed a temporary solution because the stock TV speakers were not cutting it. My poor ears...
I purchased this w/2 rear Sonos 1s and the gen. 3 Sub however, I tested the sound bar alone before syncing the rear speakers and sub. Easiest set up ever and I can now enjoy decent surround sound until my new speakers are built and my receiver is replaced. Definitely worth it for people who don't want to have to deal with installing a wired surround sound system. While the directional speakers are decent at the side surround channels the additional Sonos 1s will bring the rear channels to life. Bass is decent enough until you can add a dedicated sub.
I will definitely keep this system and move it to my game room after my new system is completed.

This thing is AMAZING all around! Expensive? YES, but worth every penny! It looks so much nicer than Playbar too! I highly recommend adding two small speakers (sonos ones) for surround sound, and the sub for loud bang! I totally disagree with people reviews who say that the Sub is not needed. The Sub takes it to another level! When I first heard it without the sub I was like WOW. Once I added a subwoofer my jaw dropped and it was a game changer!

My replaced my Polk Audio 5.1 set with the Sonos Arc,Sub 3 , and Dual SLs and I'm never looking back. They can't complete in Volume or Quality at Max volume, but I never set my Home theater system passed 40%. So I decided to streamline and downsize to a newer clearer System and I can say I have no Regrets.
If positioned and setup correctly, you will easily get a very Full and Clean sound from this bar. The Dolby Atmos may not really pop until you have a proper eARC on a HDMI 2.1 which is not on most TV older than 2019, but check on that before investing.

I bought this in preparation for upgrading my TV and gaming system. The Arc by itself is great. The arc is easy enough to use and great sound that my wife streams her music through it vs using her portable JBL speaker. Only complaint is having to use wifi instead of Bluetooth.

The arc sounds great. It delivers great depth of sound which truly enhances the enjoyment of listening to music and watching movies.
However, I’m not sure that it is greatly different than the Sonos playbar for the novice listener.
Cons: it is still on the expensive side
