The sound out of this thing is very impressive. I have vaulted ceilings that are very high so getting good surround sound in the past has been challenging. I don't know what this soundbar is doing but that is no longer an issue - everything in Dolby Atmos sounds amazing and there's enough bass to satisfy - with dialogue that is very clear. Highly recommended! The only downside to this product is that it can only be controlled via the Sonos app - there is no dedicated remote.

Just upgraded from the Arc, paired with a Gen 3 sub, to the Arc Ultra. The Ultra is louder, has better bass, and better clarity. It’s worth the upgrade. I appreciate the Bluetooth pairing that’s added so I can pair directly to the bar without needing to use the app. Compared to the Arc, the ultra is a few inches longer but has a lower profile since it’s an inch shorter. Love that I was able to use the same wall mount from the Arc. Overall happy with my purchase and lucky the Ultra was released within my return period from my Arc purchase.

This soundbar is awesome. We have a large open area living room with very high ceilings (18+ ft high). The sound has immensely improved with this soundbar and it is very easy to use. Excited to tap in to other functionality benefits it provides.

First sound bar owned and I have to say it is beyond what I expected. The sound quality is really good. Sounds like I have surround with just the one speaker. It was so easy to mount and setup. I purchased a 3rd party mount for much cheaper on Amazon. Setup was seamless. I enjoy the music connect apps like Pandora. I do not have the Sub4, but will likely be my next purchase to really hit the lows.

I recently purchased a Bose sound speaker from Best Buy, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. The audio quality is crisp, clear, and delivers rich bass without distortion even at high volumes. The speaker is compact yet powerful—perfect for both indoor and outdoor use. Setup was fast, and connecting devices via Bluetooth is effortless.
Battery life is excellent, lasting me all day with regular use. I also appreciate the speaker’s stylish design and portable build, making it easy to carry from room to room or outside for gatherings. Overall, it’s a fantastic investment for anyone who values great sound in a convenient package. Highly recommended!

This is an amazing system and I am enjoying it… but it isn’t magic.
My home is open floor plan with a living room that’s asymmetric. My couch is against a back wall of the room that separates the kitchen from living. Then on both sides of this short wall are entrance to the kitchen/dining and entrance to hall/office.
All that said, for the acoustic mess I’ve dropped this system into it sounds great. But doesn’t overcome the sound getting lost in the house. I believe if I had a more traditional contained space, the Sonos ARC Ultra would give the cinematic theater sound I’m chasing.

I upgraded from the Sonos ARC to the Sonos ARC Ultra. WOW, you can really hear the difference between the two bars. In particular more bass and clearer voices. When you upgrade, you will have to remove all subs and other speakers from the ARS and reset it (if you are selling it) or move it to another room and then reset your system. This is not really clear anywhere on Sonos website. Once you do that this soundbar is INCREDIBLE

Recently converted to Sonos and I couldn’t be happier. I purchased the Sonos Arc Ultra along with the Sub 4 and two Era 100s for my living room, and the whole experience has been fantastic from start to finish.
The packaging is premium and well thought out, which already sets a great first impression. Setup was incredibly easy...everything connected quickly and smoothly through the Sonos app.
Now for the sound… absolutely amazing. The Arc Ultra delivers crystal-clear dialogue and a huge, immersive soundstage, while the Sub 4 adds deep, powerful bass that you can feel without being overwhelming. Paired with the Era 100s for surround, it truly feels like a home theater.
I’m definitely glad I made the switch to Sonos. This system has completely transformed how I watch movies, TV, and listen to music. Highly recommended!

I’m a Sonos fan and have been for years. I have a Sonos Arc on the main television in my home. When the Arc Ultra went on sale, I read a lot of reviews about the Ultra and it seemed like most people didn’t recommend replacing your existing Arc with the Ultra because the new Arc really didn’t improve music quality. The only reason I did decide to upgrade was the voice enhancement feature. After adding it to my network and using TruePlay to tune it to my room, I have to say it is a great upgrade for us. A lot of streaming services audio is sketchy at times but I will say that the Arc Ultra has improved our ability to listen to the dialogue without as much distortion as we had with the Arc by just using the voice enhancement feature. Spatial music playback is great and adding it to my surround setup was fairly easy. I took the old Arc and added to our downstair’s space replacing a Bose soundbar. That was also a fantastic change!

Haven’t purchased nor, kept up with today’s tech on sound systems. After my Bose broke after approximately 7 years (had it a long time), It was time to explore. I’ve had dreams of owning a Sonos and I went to look at them seriously. WOW! After looking at Bose, Sennheiser and Sony I went with Sonos and bought the Ultra Arc & Sub 4. Very happy. Set up was a bit tough but, live Customer Service guided me which was excellent. The AI wasn’t. I’m just month in to the system, all is great. Sound is amazing, especially the voice on movies in low volume at night when everyone’s asleep. The app to control is great IMO. There is great content on YT to acclimate (Peter Pee is my fav) to learn and adjust your system. While not cheap, make the move, buy Sonos it really is next level.

I had the original Arc and left it mounted to wall with the house I sold. Even though I could’ve bought the Arc on sale I went with the new ultra which is great. Sound quality and options on it are better than the original and it’s a little smaller in size. The price is high but it’s a great soundbar on it’s on but I have the sub mini and 2 Era 300 for a complete system and that is fantastic for movies.

I've owned many sound systems. This is my second soundbar. I run this in the living room and I run a samsung HW-Q990C in the theater room. I have B&W's I run for turntable listening. So from someone who has heard many systems, this one is good, not great.
Im not sure what you the reader are looking for, but hopefully I can steer you in the best direction. The sonos has a few key advantages, its very simple and simple to setup. It has a long but narrow footprint and looks unobtrusive so it will blend well with decor if thats what you care about. It has decent sound and can get decently loud. I paired these with two sonos era 100's to fill the space in the living room, id say its a must to fill the void. And what I mean is, a soundbar pushes sound from one location, so your soundstage will feel concentrated to one area. Its just how it is with soundbars versus a dedicated 2.1 or 5.1, setup. Its physics, you can't change that. They try and fix this with side and up firing speakers, and it works OK, but it doesn't compare to a dedicated system.
The samsung, which i dont want to focus on too much because this isn't about that system, gets much louder than this, but its also much bigger. If you are looking for a setup with bigger booms and room vibrating sound, and you have the space, the samsung is the direction I'd steer you.
If you want the closest thing to a theater setup without spending $1000's of dollars, this ain't it. It will give you pleasant sounding music, good movie/tv audio, but if you want to throw in Top Gun Maverick and be blown away, this won't do that. I recommend a dedicated 5.1, receiver setup. Which all can be had at less than $2k.
Well why the sonos then you may ask? Because the sonos is simple and clean and perfect if you have little ones running around causing havoc. I can't risk kids poking holes in my speakers haha. As soon as they are old enough, Im going to sell all of my soundbars setups and go back to loudspeakers, its just so much better. But for simplicity sake, its hard to beat these soundbar setups. And sonos has a great ecosystem and the app works well.
Hope this helps!

Love the new Sonos Ultra soundbar. Sounds is solid and full, fits perfect on our mantle. The subwoofer looks great (we went with white) and puts out impressive bass. For a soundbar system, it sounds as close to audio separates as you can get. Highly recommend and well worth the money (and I can’t always say that about everything I buy.

I purchased the Sonos sound bar Ultra for my girlfriend’s Valentine gift. The sound is fantastic! I was especially surprised at the amount of quality bass. We were having trouble with the tv dialog, but now can hear every word. I highly recommend the Sonos sound bar Ultra.

bought this to replace a Roku soundbar which was great. However, it was an older streaming version that is no longer sold and was having issues.
This soundbar is amazing! I coupled it with the mini sub and two wireless speakers for surround. I already have a Sonance by Sonos outdoor speaker system so they work seamlessly together. I can no play music in the house and backyard simultaneously or different on each.
Sound quality is great as is the versatility.
