Customers commend the Arc Ultra Soundbar for its awesome sound quality, good bass frequency, simple setup, outstanding ease of use, and sleek design. However, some customers have reported issues with volume control and connectivity. A few customers feel that the price is a drawback, while others feel that the size could be improved. Overall, the positive aspects of the soundbar seem to outweigh the negative ones.

This is by far the best soundbar you can buy. Sonos has exclusive technology that gives this soundbar its sound. Sonos has a great ecosystem and when paired with Era 300s as surround speakers you got yourself. A fantastic setup.
Thank you for sharing your excitement about the Arc Ultra! We’re thrilled that you’re enjoying it as part of the Sonos ecosystem and appreciating its exclusive sound technology. Paired with the Era 300s, it truly creates a fantastic, immersive setup. Your positive feedback means a lot to us, and we’re here if you ever need assistance to get the most out of your system. Enjoy every moment of your listening experience!

Great sound for daily usage watching tv/movies/music. But if you want something that can shake ur house, this is not it, you will need the sub. I dont need anything that powerful so this soundbar is perfect to my needs.

This is much much better than the arc original. Especially when you pair it with a sub and any rear surrounds, this is simply amazing.

Sounds amazing. I have 2 Era 300s and a full size sub. Highly recommend that combo!! Dialogue is MUCH clearer than the original Arc and that makes the upgrade worth it right there.

Volume issues are terrible when paired with era 300s and sub gen 3. Only area it beats the original arc is the clarity of voice dialogue. One other issue is tiny voices which I’ve heard other people say, occurs with game consoles. For that I have to raise the volume from 10-15 range I used to use to now the 25-30. Bass is an issue too, true play does not work nor does simple tuning as other people mentioned. As long as the app has had issues since earlier this year around march and April, who knows when Sonos will actually fix these known issues with the Ultra. Almost a month since release and it was put out there like this… going back to the Arc until the fix is in. Sound at this point is in the Arcs favor when paired with a sub and era 300s.

Sonos app doesn’t work

Sonos, in general, is underwhelming. The only good thing about the Arc Ultra is not having to connect it to AVR to use it. That being said, it’s the biggest waste of $1,000 you’ll spend on a soundbar.
I demo’d the Sonos Arc and went right for the new Arc Ultra to try to “future proof” my audio setup. I have it paired with 2 Era 300 speakers and a Sonos 4 Sub. I’ve tried tuning the Sonos Arc Ultra about 30 times with TruePlay in their app for it every time. Trust me, I’ve done the unplug/plug and kill/restart the app at least 10 times. Who knows if the sound is mediocre just because the app refuses to tune the speakers.
The only reason I’d recommend someone to buy Sonos speakers is if they’re OCD about hiding wires. Do yourself a favor and get a good AVR and wire your speakers.

This is a garbage product, you will have nothing but problems with it maintaining connection to a network or a mesh network with other Sonos devices. You’re better off spending your money with a higher quality product. Sonos will not support their own products regardless if it is a defect in their product. Do not support a company that won’t stand behind their product!

We bought the Sonos Arc Ultra, the subwoofer, and two 100 speakers and have very mixed results. When we use the system to play music, the sound is great. However, when we watch TV or play a movie the sound is horrible. Like listening to a transistor AM radio in a can. Sonos is great if all you’re using it for is listening to music…but anything else, the sound is crap! This system is WAY over rated. Buy something else.

Should you get an Arc with no issues out of the box, you will most likely love it. Should you be unlucky enough to purchase one that has issues out of the box, Sonos has some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
- Purchased a new Arc on Black Friday that has sound loss issues out of the box.
- Almost 2 weeks of follow up calls to Sonos after previous “solutions” did not work
- Over 6 hours on the phone with customer service only to be told that my case will be escalated to level 2 and I will receive an email from Sonos for me to schedule a direct call.
- 3 days later, still have not heard a word from Sonos.

Sounds good, when its working. Which is rarely. App constantly wants to update. Soundbar constantly wants to update. Soundbar updates can take 10, 20, sometimes 30 minutes (over my gigabit internet connection when the bar is less than a dozen feet away from my wifi 7 AP). And then after you wait half an hour with no sound, the update fails about half the time and you have to start over. I will never buy another Sonos product as long as I live. Run, dont walk, away from this thing.

My wife I purchased a lot of sonos stuff. Over time, all support for the devices were cut off completely and we can no longer control our volume with the tv remote. My advice would be to look elsewhere for something more reliable.
