It supports high-bitrate audio formats without any loss or compression. Alternatively, when connected via Wi-Fi, you won’t need any cables, and you can still utilize Wireless Dolby Atmos and enjoy great audio. However, note that the audio will be compressed in this setup. I recommend trying both options — first, connected via HDMI eARC and then via Wi-Fi — to see which you prefer. I’m satisfied.
I know nothing about the latest and greatest sound products. I went into Best Buy to purchase a $150 Samsung soundbar & somehow ended up leaving with this one a good $800 later. I love the sleek design which was a huge selling point for me. It sounds great (average untrained ear). I keep the sound level around 17.. it’s rare that I go above 25. I’m happy with my purchase, no regrets.

Samsung, slim soundbar and woofer.
Love the Samsung, slim white sound bar. Mounted on ice blue colored flagstone. Blends in nicely. Sounds great!
