This adds the sound that was needed. Super easy to connect and use with the app. I can not wait to purchase a few more of the SONOS brand to add the surround sound I have always wanted.

This is my first foray into higher end sound bars. I moved to Sonos from a $150 TCL soundbar.
The sound quality is spectacular. It’s a massive difference from the cheap stuff. The soundbar does a great job isolating voices and making it easy to understand movies and shows. The atmos works well, but isn’t perfect. It depends a lot on where you are sitting in relation to the soundbar, too (head on, to the side, etc.)
The biggest issue I had was, once I got it, I wanted more. This soundbar gives you a taste of what could be an OUTSTANDING audio set up. Naturally, I had to get the Sub Mini to go with it.
Adding the sub makes this a 100% solutions for a basic high-end setup. You’ll want for nothing.
Adding rear speakers takes it to the next level. Then you get a complete surround sound experience.
Everything synced perfectly with the app and setup was fast. The EQ settings work well and make a noticeably impact.
Let me reiterate - you can get this, and only this, and be perfectly happy. Blown away, even, by the fidelity and quality. However, Sonos makes it SO EASY to integrate other components that you may find yourself dropping another $1000 (or two…) and creating an amazing soundscape for yourself.
Then, of course, you’ll be upgrading your TV because if the sound is so good the picture better be as well…
I guess what I’m saying is that once you get a taste it can snowball ;)
It’s a perfect jumping off point, though, as you can add to it over time.

Very easy to connect good quality sound, willneed at least yhe subwoofer to be Great quality sound. Make sure you check your settings on your tv. I went ahead and ordered a 15 foor hdmi arc cable since it was being connected to a 98 inch tv. The one provided was not nearly long enough. Assumed that when the tv found the soundbar it would eliminate the tv speakers. It did not. Much better now that I have found that setting and all the sound is exclusively through the arc ultra. Would buy again.

Simple Setup: Connecting this to my TV was incredibly straightforward. It was basically "plug and play."
Sleek Design: It looks fantastic on the mantle. It’s low-profile and has a very modern and premium feel.
The App Experience: The Sonos app is easy to use.
Audio Performance: I’m no audiophile, but the sound quality is a massive step up from TV speakers. Dialogue is crisp, and the profile is rich and balanced.
The Trade-offs
Price & Expansion: It’s definitely on the pricey side. What’s more, if you want "true" surround sound, you have to buy additional rear speakers (like the Era 100s or 300s), which easily adds hundreds to a couple of thousands more to the total bill.
The "Surround" Effect: On its own, the soundbar doesn't quite replace a multi-speaker system. You get a wide soundstage, but I’m not really getting that "sound behind me" feeling yet, which is probably expected from a single bar.
I have not used the voice control but that's not something I care for.

Just upgraded from the Arc, paired with a Gen 3 sub, to the Arc Ultra. The Ultra is louder, has better bass, and better clarity. It’s worth the upgrade. I appreciate the Bluetooth pairing that’s added so I can pair directly to the bar without needing to use the app. Compared to the Arc, the ultra is a few inches longer but has a lower profile since it’s an inch shorter. Love that I was able to use the same wall mount from the Arc. Overall happy with my purchase and lucky the Ultra was released within my return period from my Arc purchase.
Thank you for sharing your experience with the Arc Ultra! We're thrilled to hear that the upgraded sound quality, enhanced bass, and improved clarity are delivering exactly what you were hoping for. It’s great that the Bluetooth pairing feature has added convenience to your setup, and that the streamlined design works well in your space, even with the original Arc wall mount.
It sounds like the Ultra upgrade has been a perfect fit for you. We appreciate your support and are glad to hear you're enjoying your new setup! Performs well on its own, but much better when you add a sub. The movies sound incredible but music plays at a lower volumes.

The sound out of this thing is very impressive. I have vaulted ceilings that are very high so getting good surround sound in the past has been challenging. I don't know what this soundbar is doing but that is no longer an issue - everything in Dolby Atmos sounds amazing and there's enough bass to satisfy - with dialogue that is very clear. Highly recommended! The only downside to this product is that it can only be controlled via the Sonos app - there is no dedicated remote.

First sound bar owned and I have to say it is beyond what I expected. The sound quality is really good. Sounds like I have surround with just the one speaker. It was so easy to mount and setup. I purchased a 3rd party mount for much cheaper on Amazon. Setup was seamless. I enjoy the music connect apps like Pandora. I do not have the Sub4, but will likely be my next purchase to really hit the lows.

I purchased this about one month ago, hoping it would be a noticeable improvement on our Sonos Playbar, which we've had for about seven+ years. Our main appliance for TV watching is a TiVo, albeit an old TiVo (~14 years), but it's HD, and it will be our main appliance until it finally quits.
Out of the box, sound with the TiVo was constantly muddy, like static on an AM radio. I could tweak lots of stuff on the ArcUltra to make the sound better, but that required turning off many of that advanced features of the AU, which made this a really bad purchase. Why pay for all of these cool things when you must turn them off for good sound?
We mainly watch movies with Apple TV, and for that, the AU was great. But, in order to get the full benefit of the AU, I would be switching on all of the features I just turned off. Way too much hassle. It got returned after two weeks.
If you buy this and plan to use it with a TiVo, open it up carefully in case you need to return it, and keep in mind your return window. I wanted to like the Arc Ultra, but it just didn't work for our situation.
Overall, I love Sonos. We have a Playbar, mini sub, and seven Play:1 speakers scattered about, and one 1st gen Roam. Overall, it's a very nice system; not perfect, but really good.
Caveat: On the question "would you recommend this system," my honest answer is "maybe.". I can't say yes, because it didn't work for us.

This is a superior 9.1.4 soundbar with exceptional sound quality. Definitely a great upgrade for your home sound system, especially if accompanied with the Sonos sub 4, and a pair of Era 300s.
Also, Sonos app experience is another plus for the setup!

I upgraded from the Sonos ARC to the Sonos ARC Ultra. WOW, you can really hear the difference between the two bars. In particular more bass and clearer voices. When you upgrade, you will have to remove all subs and other speakers from the ARS and reset it (if you are selling it) or move it to another room and then reset your system. This is not really clear anywhere on Sonos website. Once you do that this soundbar is INCREDIBLE

This soundbar is awesome. We have a large open area living room with very high ceilings (18+ ft high). The sound has immensely improved with this soundbar and it is very easy to use. Excited to tap in to other functionality benefits it provides.
