I purchased this SONOS Connect:AMP so I could use a pair of existing external patio speakers with my SONOS system. I connected the speakers out in my workshop so I could listen to SONOS while woodworking and puttering. I wish this item wasn't as expensive as it is. Still, it is an excellent way to keep and use quality speakers purchased for other systems. For example, in addition to these patio speakers, I also had a pair of Klipsch bookshelf speakers I used as surround speakers for my old surround system (I now have a SONOS system). These old speakers now are providing excellent, rich, stereo sound in my study. So in these cases, purchasing a Connect:AMP was less expensive than purchasing two commensurate SONOS speakers for the study or patio. In that way, the Connect:AMP does provide value at a lower total cost (excluding the "sunk" cost of existing speakers).

It's an investment but worth the cost for the quality. Nice looking and small device.

The sonos amp is small compact and has a nice appearance if wanting to have it on a shelf in a room. I used the sonos amp to run two Bose free space 51's in my back yard. The sound and clarity are great. The only thing is at volumes under 30% the volume is way lower than expected. You need to be at the 50% level or higher to get decent volume. In some of the forums this is also noted, the response is the clarity of the music is key not the volume. The clarity is great!

It just works amazing. Until sonos comes out with an outdoor speaker a sonos amp with any niles rock speaker sounds amazing. Initial set up was a breeze. Large coverage area and powerful enough to power out door speakers. Sonos literally rocks

After reading a lot of reviews and doing a lot of planning, I picked up the Sonos Connect Amp. It's one of the best electronics purchases I've ever made. I had speakers pre-wired, and a hard line to my router, so I just had to connect the speakers, download the app, and power on. I'm running it with the iOS app on both iPhone and iPad, plus the Mac app on my MacBook Pro, and it's been working seamlessly. I was easily able to add my music library from my Synology NAS, and I've also added my Prime Music and Pandora accounts. Set up didn't require any major technical knowledge other than knowing your login info for your streaming accounts. The entire thing took about 15-20 minutes. I'll eventually pick up 1-2 more Sonos units for other parts of my house and my yard, but for the time being I'm just going to kick back and enjoy.

Great item easy to use and setup. Make sure you group speakers if your connecting more than one to work together in app, i didnt see that and took me hours of frustration and calling the company! Other than that im very happy.... weird there is no off button and unit just stays on always consuming power.

it is an idiot proof product... the amp works without question... today we are operating in a high quality streaming environment, it is a next level product. the reason is the software interface we never shut it off and it is adjustable when changing from TV movies to streaming music to local radio to same channel TV in all rooms with one or multiple volume controls.... i highly recommend this is the greatest thing since HD and 4K you can build your system ... FYI think big on your pre-wire you WILL use everything you thought just might be nice.. let me help you with your design.... put speaker sound bar combinations everywhere.... if in doubt add more.... my wife has me in sonos therapy.... FYI sonos is therapy

Nothing I've heard or heard about can deliver as much great music in high fidelity as accurately and flexibly as Sonos. Others are starting to provide almost equal sound quality but Sonos flexibility in music sourcing and delivery through its own combined amplifiers/speakers, through in the wall speakers alone and through home theater/sound set ups more than trumps the others.

The amp is simple to install and is small enough to put anywhere. I connected some outdoor Bose 151 speakers and the sound is awesome! Cranks with no distortion. If you have the money... Go for it!

SONOS - CONNECT:AMP 110W Class D Amplifier Great sound easy to set up

Extremely easy to install. This component allowed music from my TV and music network to be streamed to two ceiling speakers I installed in my bedroom ceiling. As with all SONOS products, adding the component to the network was a snap. This is my fourth SONOS component and I've been impressed with every one of them. Next I'm going to add surround sound.

I was going to buy a traditional reciever with wifi just to make use of some speakers we had. Found this system and changed my mind. Setup was a snap. Sound is awesome. Super flexible system without the expense of being hardwired. Bought several other pieces to go along.

Great easy setup, powers my old Bose system well. Just wished there was more than one connection for a single set of speakers. Had to use an old splitter box to connect multiple pairs.

I wanted the ability to connect my wired patio speakers to my inside bedroom closet and have the ability to use Spotify or other music stations and control the tracks, song selections, etc. wireless from my iPhone or iPad while entertaining friends outdoors. This Sonos amp was the perfect solution and I highly recommend it.

In general, I fell in love with the Sonos system offerings after having a much more expensive integrated home system. The Sonos System pulls in virtually all popular web based music services available today as well as any music on my home computer or serve. My new home design uses multiple Sonos Players/Speakers but in one application I wanted to control In-Ceiling speakers in the MBR instead of a table top speaker. This Sonos Connect AMP provide full integration to the whole house system as well as more than adequate power for my ceiling speakers. Having tired it with my Ceiling speakers and being very happy with the results, I may also try it with Larger Book Shelf Speakers! Well done Sonos.
