This was a great addition to my home theater system. The volume and quality is exceptional. The bass in the speaker is loud and clear. This product is quite expensive but well worth the buy. Down loading it and connecting to my cell was simple. I plan to add additional speakers for other rooms.

If your looking for something compact that packs a punch? then Sonos play 5 is for you. I couldn't believe the quality of sound coming from such a small speaker. I purchased one on a Monday and was back on Tuesday for a second play 5, paired together the sound is unbelievable.

I now have 4 of these speakers. They have great sound quality and are very easy to use with my Iphone as a controller.

A little pricey- but the sound quality and ease of setup is worth it- I had a wired Klipsch whole home surround system with a Velodyne subwoofer before we moved and the sound was exceptional- The new home we purchased required ripping walls and ceilings to wire the same system- my friends told me about Sonos- I heard their system and was impressed- I ended up purchasing four play 5’s and four play 1’s for sound in/around my home and a Sonos subwoofer and sound bar system with two play ones for rear surround in my family room for surround sound- the music/sound quality is exceptional and as good if not better than my old sound system- the ease of use and ability to play specific rooms through the My Sonos app is awesome- while pricey- you can build onto your system in time- I’ll never go back to a wired sound system again- and if I were to add up my total costs between my old and new Sonos system- I’d say just the wiring in the new home would have cost me more than my entire Sonos system I purchased- and I didn’t have to patch or paint anywhere!

I was actually quite impressed with the quality of the sound even at lower levels. Great speaker but very pricey. My only complaint it the quirks from the mobile app and it not responding quickly on demand sometimes. The occasional disconnect from Wi-Fi is also annoying.

There is no comparison to Sonos, the ease, flexibility, etc - they sounds incredible, would definitely recommend.

I bought this for my boyfriend because he wanted it. This is hands down the best speaker I’ve ever heard. It’s truly amazing how loud it is. It shakes the whole house. If you’re looking for great sound with a lot power you just found it. This definitely won’t disappoint!

Clear, crisp sound. Sounds great on low volume and it’s still clear and crisp even with volume turned way up.

Amazing from the get go. Superior packaging to protect this master piece. Amazing sound quality even when cranked full blast. I am enjoying music all over again. Bose who? Yes that's a big statement but we'll deserved. I'm already planning to buy more SONOS products. What type of music is played through this? We play everything from brutal death metal to today's hits. Enough said. Buy it.

One of the best speakers I’ve ever owned. Sounds spectacular all by itself. However, consider adding a sub if you can swing it. The entire sound profile of the Play5 changes when the sub is added. It exclusively plays the highs and mids through the Play5, while letting the sub manage the bass. Together, they’re the complete package. I plug my ProJect Carbon turntable into the AUX port. First time I took it for a spin, I was blown away. I can’t recommended this highly enough. And customer service is exceptional. When I had an older speaker fail, they shipped me a new one at no charge, even though I was technically out of warranty. Something about the problem being due to a “more common than we’d like to see” issue. Outstanding. Sometimes can be a little tricky—setup, troubleshooting a network issue. But it can certainly be overlooked due to all the positives.

This system is awesome! The sound and ease of this is amazing! The new speakers sound so much better. Well worth the $$!

Amazing sound from a small speaker. I used these to replace my PhaseTechs. Didn't think that I would get the same sound. I placed the Sonos on top of the PhaseTech and switched back and forth. I am pleased to say the least. Love using the alarm feature and waking up to my favorite tunes. Can't wait to go buy my Sonos Sub.

Set up is easy. Sound is very good. Having music playing throughout the house with the awesome Sonos app is very cool.

It’s expensive, but considering the size and volume that it can output. It’s not a bad price. It has good highs and treble. It has really good base but it doesn’t over power the tones. It’s really heavy, it’s not something you’d be carrying around. It’s more of a stationary speaker.

Although looking at Dennon because of the Bluetooth option, Sonos sounded so rich in the store I had to try it at home. We have a massive home with a 1,800 sq/ft open living room and just one of these speakers fills the room. Portable, powerful, user friendly, Sonos has destroyed the competition with this product.

These speakers are small with a big punch. The app is easy to use and it’s great with multiple speakers.

This speaker does not disappoint. The Sonos play 5 is a high end speaker with a high end price, but it is worth every penny. Setup is a breeze and the sound quality is amazing. Even though this speaker is relatively small, it still delivers a loud maximum volume with no distortion and powerful bass.

I love good music, jazz and classical, but I wanted a system that I could use at my vacation home. I looked at Sonos, Bose , and Magnolia sound vault. I chose Sonos S5 because of it's sound, portability, and ability to expand into a true multi-room or multi speaker stereo system. All units can be used stand alone stereo or as part of a stereo system (L R). Also I was concerned of the sound I would get from the room with its hard surfaces, floor, walls, and ceiling. The knowledgeable sales person showed me how the unit can be customized to the room and automatically adjusts using a smart phone as input to adjust the Sonos. I was blown away by the before and after running the adjustments. Initially I was just a little concerned given the room configuration and the price, but Best buy has a return policy that is great and I figured I wanted the unit if it worked out as well as the sales person said it would. If it didn't I could bring it back. I wold recommend this Sonos S5 for anyone who wants a house full of good music.

I purchased the Playbar/ Sub/ 3 Play 5's/ 3 Play 3's: It's hard to describe the sound quality of these speakers and how it fills the room without being intrusive. We have elevated ceilings and the sound from the Play 5's sound fills the space with the right amount of base and treble. The only way I can describe it is as if you don't know where the sound is coming from when you walk into the house, it's pretty awesome! The setup is extremely user friendly, almost effortless. The play bar and sub can be played at low levels and movie conversations still audible. The sound doesn't go to extremes when commercials come on which is nice on the ears. The surround sound system has settings for rear speakers (in feet) close, medium, or far distance to adjust the sound in relation to your viewing position of TV. I've had the Sonos a little over 1 month and I am still finding out new ways to utalize their awesome app while arranging Play 1's in different rooms. Thanks Sonos for making such an awesome product!
