Had them plugged in for over 48 hours. Purchased two. Had to return them. Even customer service couldn’t help me get sound and I am pretty tech savvy. I already did all the troubleshooting steps they walked me through multiple times and it didn’t work. Ultimately they were asking me about what charger I am using to charge them, amps and wattage etc. A regular Type C cord and plug that I use for ALL my Type C devices since they did not come with any charger, just a type C cord. Plus I could hardly understand the tech, assistant, or whatever their title is. So didn’t need the frustration.

Dont waste hours like I did trying to connect this speaker. Save yourself a headache. The roam sl is getting returned first thing tomorrow.

I am a registered nurse and just had time to actually open the thing Sunday 8/4/2024. It will NOT connect to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth and this is not rocket science. We own many portable speakers and this one happened to be for me. I went in to the store 8/5/2024 with proof that it had just been opened the day before hoping to only get store credit but no luck. I knew I had probably missed the return period but thought they would consider the item defective and do the right thing but NOPE!! What a waste of money!! These should not be sold to anyone anywhere!!!! I am super upset and disappointed in Best Buy and Sonos. I was hoping to love it! Go figure I spend thousands on appliances, TVs, speakers, etc and the item under $200 is complete trash!!!!

I happily own 4 other Sonos products but Roam fails to hold house wifi connection and bluetooth connection is always difficult to establish. Sound is good when I can finally get it connected.

This was a new unit on clearance sale, so I believe it had been sitting on a shelf for years without any battery maintenance. Returned without issue and did not bother attempting to purchase another or its upgraded sibling the Roam 2.
