The mini sub is well worth it. I have the larger sub hooked up in my living room with the beam2 - I also have an Arc in my bedroom (with 2 SL ones) so I thought this mini would pair with it - and guess what? It did exactly what I thought - I told all my friends I can not tell a difference in bass from the large vs mini. Only advice. Put baby in the corner, up near the bar - that made a HUGE difference as it allowed the sound to bounce through the room

This little guy is more than enough! Deep bass that shakes my living room and I have my Sono system night sound active. Buy it, you won't be disappointed!

Great sub. So glad I bought it. Completes my entertainment experience. I have a complete Sonos set up with Beam, Move 2, and the sub. I don't have room for rear speakers. I struggled to get Apple Home Pod and the Home App (yuck!) to work reliably. Sonos is reliable, sounds great, and is very easy to use.

Pairing the Sub Mini with the Beam Gen 2 has completely changed my movie watching experience. The Beam 2 alone already sounded good but the Sub Mini gave the boom it was missing. So far no regrets and I’m really happy with the purchase.

added the sub-mini to my Sonos Beam Gen2. Awesome increase in bass performance. More depth and punch to the music. Music comes alive now, movies are more realistic. It's fantastic. Not cheap but worth it.

Small compact size and big sound. I have the standard sub and now the Mini. For the money, the Mini is an excellent buy. I would still recommend the standard sub for larger rooms if you prefer a little more bass. I put the Mini in my kitchen island built-ins. It is completely hidden and connected to in ceiling speakers and fills the bass void perfectly!

Very nice sub. Wish I could pair it with another mini. I would definitely get it and wouldn't care if I spent $60 more than 1 Sub 3 sub cost.
$799 for a Sub 3 or $858 for two sub minis. Not a big deal.

The mini subwoofer has more than enough base. I’ve never owned a surroundsound system with a base that has that much kick to it. I can only imagine what the top-of-the-line one is like, but this one suits the room that I’m in it has more than enough base and has a theater feel

This little thing has an amazing kick to it. The output is easily changed via the SONOS app. I currently have it paired with a SONOS soundbar and couldn’t be happier. It’s almost like having Dobly Atmos in my house. Great sound, would recommend

This subwoofer makes the difference in sound when added to your sound bar and Play One. It balances all sounds making it an amazing sound experience no matter if you are listening music or watching a movie. Super recommended!

It’s been 2weeks and I love it. Must buy the sub with beam to get the real experience! Might add couple more rear speakers in future to get that Dolby kick in! Easy setup and control!
Play “turn on the light again remix by Swedish house mafia” and feel the bass

Ok, here's the deal. I had very similar, troublesome issues many of you have desribed. After TWO weeks trying to fix connection issues, and purchasing another sub mini thinking mine was toast, I got to the bottom of the issue. During all this time, i tried to get in touch with Sonos support many times, which was awful, I bit the bullet and stayed on hold for 75 minutes to talk to someone. Dante was awesome! He explained that this sub has inherent issues with newer routers. I had indeed switched out for a newer router with Spectrum a couple of weeks ago. Apparently, the sub uses different frequencies than my Sonos Fives, so the problem was hard to discover.
I found out that i would need to PURCHASE a different router that can be tweaked. The Spectrum router, even though new and super fast and reliable otherwise, can NOT be altered in any way. So, this sub would NEVER connect to my wifi. What!!??
Anyway, here are the settings that Dante gave me if i had a router that could be modified. I really hope this helps someone. I will be returning the sub and try to find out if the larger subs have this problem. Anyone know this answer???
Settings required:
A- auto channel must be set to off on 2.4 Ghz
B- choose the best non overlapping channel (1,6,11 ) on 2.4 Ghz
C- both 2.4Ghz and 5 Ghz should be enabled
D- 802.11 bands should be set to b/g/n on 2.4 Ghz
Restart routers after making changes. This hopefully will work for you. I DON'T want to have to buy a new expensive router. And, then pay extra each month for using my own unit.
What pains me, is the sub was AWESOME on my old router. Never had significant issues, and it was unreal to listen to and enjoy. I love bass to be full and powerful, with low distortion. The sub gave me joy. Now, it is not,....joy.
I can't believe Sonos would still sell this product knowing it will be unusable over time. Why design it to use different frequencies? Why do you not LET THE PUBLIC KNOW ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND MAKE IT EASY TO FIGURE OUT????
So, one star. I just hope the other sub does NOT have these issues, or I have to wait for an updated sub mini....?? Can anyone shed light on this?
Sonos, if you're listening to your loyal fans and users, please fix this, or at least broadcast this issue out to the public. We are spending time, money, and much effort on a problem that can't be fixed otherwise.
I should stop here, before I get into the new Sonos app bugs and mishaps. Those are whole disasters by themselves. C'mon Sonos, you're better than this!! Sincerely, a sort-of-still-fan of all things Sonos. K Pearson (KP from NC)
