Impressive deep bass, paired with Sonos Arc soundbar. Together, movies resonates with dimensions unheard previously. Volume is controlled with the Sonos app downloaded on your cellphone or IPad. Works wirelessly with additional Sonos speakers. Initial setup involves only a few steps using the app. Appearance - hefty weight with piano black gloss surface. Two large enclosed speakers are facing each other, separated by a center hole. This design really works, the low level bass sounds distinct but not too overwhelming. Perfect balance for home theaters.

I thought in would have to compromise the depth of base and surround sound by retiring my 12 inch traditional sub. This was easy to set up. It looks amazing, and the bass surround sound is all enveloping without being overpowering. I don’t have to adjust for music or movies or sports. It finds a way tonput me in the scene and action. Buy it. You will be glad you did.

Absolutely fantastic subwoofer. Setup was immediate, just plugged it in and it found my existing Sonos system. Moved to a bigger house, so got this bigger sub to replace my Sonos Sub Mini. The Sub Mini is also amazing, especially for its size and cost, but in a larger room, this larger sub makes a big difference. The ONLY thing to pay attention to, is if you use Sonos True Play tuning. I always use it, and it improves sound in most ways, but I noticed that using True Play with this subwoofer turned the sub volume WAY down. At first I thought the sub was less powerful than my Sub Mini, but then I tried turning off True Play, and this Sub was so good and so loud. I like how True Play makes the rest of the system sound, so I found that keeping True Play on but turning the Sub voluem to +7 made it sound fantastic. Still rating this 5 stars because it sounds SO good, but its a bit frustrating that True Play made this Sub SO quiet without manually turning it up. And it didn't sound BAD without turning it up, just way quieter than I would have liked.

I have always believed in components to get the true home theater experience but I recently made the jump to the Sonos setup and will not go back. No wires, ease of setup and true sound quality. The construction of these things are unbelievable and the look is very appealing. Also the compact size makes placing these speakers easy. I know people will say these things are a lot of money but trust me, you will want to spend the money to get this deep, rich bass and the good looks.

I purchased this to add to a Sonos Arc soundbar and a pair of One SL speakers for small Dolby-ATMOS home theater and am very impressed. The design of the Sub allows it to be placed upright or on its side, whichever best suits your room. The Sonos app very quickly added it to the setup and adjusted the output of the soundbar to optimize the effect of the Sub. It isn't the cheapest way to go, but it definitely delivers great sound.

I love my sub 3. I’ve spent maybe a total of 4 months reading online reviews (reddit, smarthome sounds, peterpee) and conducting stress tests between this one, the sub 4 and the sub mini. The sub mini is awesome for 90% of people, because its smaller and sealed, which makes its bass tones slightly more accurate when playing music. The sub 3 can be described as having a heavier hand when it comes to the same bass tones. Bass is around 2x louder, but not as refined as the sub mini when you turn it up. If you love bass. My use cases are in my living room for atmos content and in my home gym for workout music. Indoors or out, this mf is crazy. 10/10 would recommend. Ps. My only gripe is the cost

This is an amazing product that produces high fidelity bass that is pleasing to the ear. This has more than enough power to fill a large room yet adds just enough oomph to music that is played at minimal sound levels. The best feature of course is that this is a super stylish wireless subwoofer.

I`ve been a major Sonos proponent for years, but had never bit the bullet with buying the sub as it always seemed on the pricey side. However, after adding this to my system I can say that it is truly worth the price. Right out of the box it has that traditional premium Sonos aesthetic and overall feel. Setup was a breeze, similar to all other Sonos products and just after a couple minutes I was up and going through TruPlay. The actual performance is where this product really stands out. My current setup is an Arc soundbar and two Ones as surrounds and I will say there is a definite difference after adding the sub. I will say that I did go into the app and bump up the sub`s output as it did seem quite muted at first, but after making this minor adjustment it definitely packs a punch. Overall, I would say if you are on the fence and already have the arc and surrounds this is nearly a must have and for that reason I can definitely recommend this to anyone in the Sonos ecosystem.

I have mine paired with my Sonos Arc and boy does this thump if you have it setup correctly! My favorite aspect of this device is that it is only 6 inches wide and I actually have mine hidden inside my love seat! It’s a dual recliner with a center console and it fit right inside! They just released an update and if you have an additional Gen 2/3 or have access to purchase another Gen 2/3, you can run dual subs!!! Has to be those models or has to work with Sonos S2 app though. If you are new to Sonos, here a couple things to keep in mind. Sonos does not support Bluetooth, at all. You need WiFi, and good WiFi, to pair this with a beam or an Arc as well as surrounds. This can be no bueno for non-Apple users as it only supports AirPlay over WiFi, you cannot cast Spotify or YouTube, etc. over Bluetooth with Sonos. You also cannot use the Trueplay self-calibration feature on the app without an iPhone or iPad. Sonos also has no support for DTS whatsoever, so if your Blu-ray player cannot output solely Dolby Audio, you will be SOL with your DTS mastered movies.

Overall we've been pretty happy with the addition of this sub. I purchased it as part of our surround sound system in the media room along with a Sonos Arc and a couple of One SL's. Aesthetically, it's a good looking speaker with an interesting design. Setup was pretty easy, but the pairing sensor didn't work quite as well as the Arc or the One SLs. As for the sound quality, it is suitable for the space and consistent with the demo at the store. It's not the most powerful subwoofer nor is it the cheapest, but it ties in well with the rest of the system and we are generally pleased with the purchase.

We have been waiting to get a home theater system for a while now and I’m glad I picked up this one. I’ve done lots of research and I like how the white color matches our decor. You won’t find too many white sound bars out there. The sound quality is top notch as I tested it with a variety of audio/video sources. The atmos is very convincing even though it uses a bounce off the wall technique. It really sounds like things are coming from above. The subwoofer is strong without being too base heavy that it distorts the sound. It adds a depth that we truly enjoy. Set up is wireless and easy to do.

Only had for a month but love the sound and feel of the bass. Not over the top, just right and crisp. Setup was super easy, even easier than the setting up the ARC i think. The idea of being able to place anywhere in the room and lose the effect is right as well, in fact, not having it right with the ARC i think enhanced the immersed feeling of the sound. Listening to all genres of music without having to adjust levels is very unique IMO. Even listening to talk shows on SiriusXM like NHLRadio doesn't get drowned out. This is by far the best setup I ever purchased, and I have owned many, from sound bars to full on theater sound systems. LOVE IT and it looks great in the room too.

It is great to look at, and sounds even better. Set up is a breeze; I had it connected to my Sonos beam within a couple of minutes. It provides deep base without any sort of rattle. I live in an apartment so it adds nice base without shaking the walls. This new version will be supported by Sonos for at least 5 years so no fear of being made redundant.

The Sonos 3 sub adds a layer of depth to my Sonos system that was missing. It was easy to add to my Sonos system and pair with a Playbar and 2 OneSLs. The sub hits hard with music and rumbles the room in movies. I debated between the Sonos 3 Sub and the Sonos 4 Sub and i'm happy with the Sonos 3 Sub and it saved me $$ compared to the 4.

Elegant looking with deep bass, the Sub Gen 3 has a small footprint and comes in a glossy finish. Even at default settings, it will shake a medium-sized room. Turn it up, and your spouse might think a helicopter is landing on the house. I paired it with the Sonos Arc this past December, and am very pleased with this product.

Smooth bass, no distortion. Bass is overkill when attached to an Arc, unless you watch a lot of music videos, imo! Perfect addition to my 5s. Setup was easy with Sonos app. Also easy to move from Arc to 5s after initial setup and back again.

The Sonos Gen 3 Sub Woofer is a must add for any Sonos system! Here's why; first it's sleek clean design is artful to just look at, and the sub can be positioned however you like. Sonos Sub technology is an audio marvel with deep hitting bass to subtle low overtones. The beauty of this beast is that it takes all the low end frequency load off your other Sonos speakers so the don't need to do the heavy lifting required by low audio frequencies, this allows your system to really produce incredible spacial sound that other systems just can't match. Thunderous bass when needed with no muddy distortion, just clean pure bass the way it should be!!

Great addition to the Sonos Arc. I used the Arc stand-alone for half a year before deciding that it couldn’t confidently handle the bass. The Arc has had bass bottoming-out issues since launch and I’m still not sure if it has been fixed yet. But with the Sub, you don’t need to worry about that any more. The bass is taken to another level, and the only thing you need to worry about is the neighbors, or perhaps the electric bill. You can place it anywhere in any direction and get room filling bass that makes explosions in movies sound so much more immersive. The app makes pairing it with your Arc or other Sonos devices easy. Downsides: one, it is heavy, but you won’t care after you successful place it in your room. Two it is expensive. Only purchase if punchy bass is worth that much to you.

White goes well with the trim of everything in my house as far as cxents are concerned. Simple and easy to pair with the arc or beam. Love it. Adds the much needed thump when watching movies or listening to music while cleaning.
