Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the excellent sound quality and comfortable fit of the 1000X Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones. Positive feedback also highlights the long battery life and user-friendly touch controls. However, some customers find the headphones to be a bit expensive and heavy. A few users also noted that the volume could be higher and the fit may not be ideal for all head shapes.

Quality of sound is good compared to other wireless NC phones I've tried, but NC is not so good. Connecting to Bluetooth for same device used for listening some times doen't detect so little discomfort every time we need to disconnect and connect again. Also NC switch off after 10min if you are not using. So if you are looking for great quality sound with wireless NC head phones I recommend this.

Noise canceling as good or better than Bose but with much better music sound quality. And when you factor in the touch control functionality, you have the latest, greatest travelers best friend.

I have owned both these and the QC35s and I do prefer these over the OCs. The noise cancelling is great but I do not feel the pressure on my ears the way I did with the Bose. I also think the functionality features help give these an additional boost over Bose when it comes to value. NFC pairing is simple and painless. The design of the earcups using a faux leather maybe a turn off for some and they can scratch easily but to me they are okay. The sound is good. I listen to variety of genres from hip hop to r&b, alternative, compositions for movie soundtracks and more and do not have a complaint about the sound. These also work good for phone calls and the ambient noise modes are good as well. I didn't notice a difference when using the NC optimization but either way they were still good. I do with they had an app to control and tweak the EQ if you wanted too like the they use for some other brands.

I actually bought these after testing them out at a local store. I listened to the different brands they had available and this one, by far, was the best. What is even better is the feature where you can turn off the noise cancelling and lower the music just by putting your hand over the right ear. Very convenient for when someone is trying to talk to me with them on. Got these for studying with a house full of children and they work great! This was my third pair in less than a month - I started out with the cheap stuff first...my mistake.

The sound quality is excellent, very balanced. And the battery life has been excellent. A full charge lasts about 20 hours. Gesture control is pretty cool. Overall, excellent product.

These are the top of the one headphones out there. Bose has their quiet comfort ones but these are just as comfortable and yet have better noise cancelling and additional features. They were on $50 more than the Bose too. I use the noise cancelling ambient voice in my office all the time. That way I can hear someone ask for me and still stifle the drone of the AC and other machines running while listening to some cool jazz. Great sound. Works with android, iOS phones, and my surface pro. For gaming I use it connected via the headphone jack that is included. You can make and take calls too. Works with Skype, hangouts, WebEx etc... Best headphones I've ever had.

I needed to purchase a solid pair of headphones that I could use for studying that could eliminate most household noises like television and kids/adults talking. I read a ton of reviews (like most people) from various websites and blogs trying to narrow my search. It was basically a choice between Bose QC35 or the Sony MDR-1000. I tried out the Bose a few times at Target and Best Buy but they didn't seem to sound that great and didn't block out the talking or televion noise that I needed. I couldn't find the Sony's on display anywhere so I just did an impulse purchase and I'm glad I did. These work incredibly well at blocking everday noises and sound great.

Does it's job very nicely in keeping unwanted noise and distraction out. A very nice bonus feature is the ability to touch outside of headphone to temporarily stop music and listen to someone without removing them. Only negative is that they're pricey.

After shopping for quite some time I'm glad I took my time. I was ready to bite the bullet and fork over the money for the Bose QC35s but after the Sony MDR 1000Xs went on sale for substantially less I checked them out. It was a toss up until I checked out the features. Most are a matter of personal choice or need but the deal maker for me was the Voice Mode feature. Just putting my hand on the ear cup lowers music and lets the outside noise in. That's practical! With Bose you need to remove the headset from your ear to hear, that's not always convenient. The choice was made because all else was pretty much a toss up, except price.

Chose these over the bose quiet comfort simply because of the control pad on the ear. I am glad I made the decision that I did. They have been great and the ability to hold your hand over your ear to hear someone is fantastic. A lot more convenient than taking them off each time.

Works great. Not as comfortable as Bose Qc35. However, the sound is so much better and features are better. Best Headphones Ive ever bought. Better than beats in my opinion.

Better than the Bose. Noise cancelling is great. Eerily quiet. Bose battery is not user or Bose replaceable. Sony can replace this battery. The Bose I refer to is the qc35

For several years I had been using a pair of Bose Quiet Comfort 15 noise cancelling headphones, and I was very happy with them. Then they just stopped working and I decided to replace them. The Sony 1000 are the best. They work wired or wireless and they are pretty light on the head. The foam ear cups could be a little sturdier. They have some pretty unique features, too. Like you can place your hand over the right headphone and you will be able temporarily to disable the noise cancelling feature, allowing you to listen to a conversation without turning them off or removing them. Rather pricey, but a great pair of headphones.

My fiancée is very particular when it comes to headphones and when I got here these, she fell in love with them. Great comfort, the noise-cancelling function and quality of it is amazing, and sound quality (whether you’re in ambient or noise-cancelling mode) is too
