I would rate these a slightly higher compared to my Bose QC35's. Only negative is that these are not as comfortable as the Bose for long-term use.

I went into the store with my heart set on a pair of Bose noise cancelling headphones. Then I tried these on and the difference was remarkable! The salesman was standing right next to me asking me a question and I could hear nothing! What an amazing way to block out the world for a few hours!! Can't wait to take them on a long flight and block out the crying babies!!

I caught these on sale below the price of the Bose QC35 so I decided to give them a try. The noise cancelling is just as good as the QC35 in my opinion and the sounds quality is better. They also have a few features that the QC35 didn't. Not quite as comfortable as the QC35 but it's pretty close. In the end these are tied with the QC35 in my opinion in almost every way.

As advertised. NOTE: Microphone pick-up is not great. Using these as the audio source for podcasting did not work well. Otherwise, just fine.

Sony wireless noise cancelling headphones are a convenient way to listen without interruptions from exterior noise. These headphones also allow you to easily listen to someone without having to take them off. Just hold your hand over the ear and you can temporarily listen to someone talking w you. Great features and best headset out there compared to multiple others.

Plenty of battery, comfortable, great sound, noise canceling is great.

I researched the comparison between the Sony and Bose headphones and choose the Sony because of the features controlled by your hand motion

First active noise cancelling headphones I've owned and my only complaint is that the earcups feel a little annoying after 3hrs of usage.

The headphones work great. The noise canceling works really well. And the sound is good, but they are very expensive.

I am very pleased with this purchase. I tried out these headphones and the Bose comparable ones in the store. I could hear people talking in the store with the Bose ones. It was not a problem with these. They are great at work! I can't hear my coworkers. They even work well without anything playing. I highly recommend the slightly higher price tag to get these.

A sales guy talked me into buying these instead of the Bose QC35s, and they're pretty great. The QC35s have way, way better Bluetooth pairing features, but these Sonys have way, way better sound, and the noise cancellation is the best I've ever heard. They are silent on airplanes, and even able to quiet my workplace to the point where I can hear myself think.

The Sony 1000x headphones have been amazing. I use a number of different Bose Aviation and commercial NC Headphones for work, however, the Sony's beat them all out. Comfort, functionality, and style are all more towards my liking and I will be purchasing more headphones from Sony in the future if they continue producing high quality products like these.

I bought both the Bose BC35 and the Sony 1000X Both sound unbelievable I spent hours going back and forth listening to all sorts of music, while sitting, standing, working outside, jogging, and travel by aircraft. Both are 5 stars... however... I do NOT need two nor is it financially feasible/wise. I returned the Sony. The Sony edged the Bose in sound accuracy - better bass, better mid range and crisper treble, by just a little bit. Sony, with its simple touch gestures and auto mute by cupping the ear piece is more advanced and convenient. Bose is more comfortable, lighter, made of perceivable better quality materials and simply disappeared when wearing them. They are equal in noise cancellation, to my ears... It came down to comfort for me. I can wear the Bose for hours on end and they feel natural. The Sony, though not painful, would be "present," it "felt" like I was wearing them and sort of irritated my ears, not badly, just not "invisible."

I bought these headphones for use when I travel. So far, they proved to give great sound and effective noise reduction on 4 noisy international flights and a couple of long train rides to NYC. The only issue I have is that the cable that's used to physically connect the headphones to a source, such as an inflight entertainment system was so poorly constructed, that it broke after the first use. Disappointing to see that with such a high quality product.

I tried Bose Q35 and Sony MDR-1000x, and settled on Sony. Although sound isolation is better in Q35, Sony is not bad in that. I found sound quality is better in Sony than the Q35, and ambient NC is equally good. Sony sound quality is way better when the power is not on (or when battery is dead). Also, some of the touch technology built into the Sony is cool!

I purchased these for some long distance flights I have to take this year. After first trip: these work great. They block out most ambient noise. What I really like is the ability to turn the noise cancelling off by placing my hand on the right earpiece. I was really hesitant to purchase because of their high price, but after using: they are worth it.

I just love it, got for 299.99 then somehow price dropped to 229.99 for several hours, so I got matched to the even lower price.

They work well and sound great. The noise canceling works well in airports. I like the option to cancel out all noise, noise but allow voice through, and the ability to turn off noise canceling all together. The noise canceling setting that allows a person voice through is really good in air ports when you still want to hear announcements.

I have already had a Sony wireless headphone abn100, this time I found this good offer and definitely have it! Refresh your ear!

Love these! Comfortable and noise cancellation works great. Found they would not work as straight noise reduction (without attaching audio source) unless I plugged in a cable to them, though. Sometimes I want to just close myself off from everyone, but they would constantly time out with no audio source. Plugging in a cable solved that.
