For years I have been using wired noise cancelling earphones with my iPad, but the wires, especially on airplane flights, were a nuisance. I updated to these for that reason, but could not believe the great difference in sound quality. It was like I was hearing my favorite music for the first time.

Just used them for an airline trip. Linked them to my I Pad for movie watching, A+. The noise cancelling feature is easy to employ or switch back for conversation. I have a pair of Sennheiser corded phones and enjoyed not being tethered to the I Pad. I highly recommend these wireless headphones.

I was skeptical to choose between this Sony headphone and bose QC 35... Though initially I got inclined towards the lightweightness of bose headphones but when compared the sound quality...hands down to Sony. If you need better sound quality and adaptive noise cancellation then Sony is your answer but if you need headphone which is light weight, everyday easy going and doesn't care about all the beats n all then bose. Sony are somewhat bulky when compared to bose qc 35 and that's the only drawback I see with this set

Aside from these being an awesome pair of headphones, they have the best noise cancellation, even better than Bose's QC35s. I not gonna list every single feature and how it works out, but I can say that there is a great use to every feature that Sony put on these headphones. No feature is gimmicky. Very good looking and low profile. Best in-class sound quality. Not overly bassy, but there is definitely enough. Pretty balanced EQ with a slight focus on the mids. Overall, a great pair of headphones that are worth every dollar.

After doing a bunch of research I narrowed the field to either the ever present BOSE or the SONY. A bunch of reviews convinced me to give the SONY a try and I am glad I did. Battery life was short during my very first use (about 4 hours) but the second time I used them they were still going strong after 12 hours of a transatlantic flight. They are comfortable even after hours of wearing them, the noise reduction feature works very well and I had no trouble whatsoever pairing them with my iPhone. Touch gesture controls were easy to adapt to and cupping the right ear to listen to ambient sound just can't be beat Very happy with my purchase

I have loved my Sony wireless headphones since I got them a few weeks ago. The noise cancelling feature of the higher-end headphones on the market is truly amazing. I read a ton of reviews that praised both the Bose and Sony products pretty-much equally. I own many products from each company and I love them all so it was a tough decision for me. Ultimately it was the in store demo that convinced me the Sony was the way to go. I think it was the touch controls that won me over. Anyway, the more I use them the more I love them. My son loves them too because he can sneak up and scare the tar out of me while I'm in the office working.

These headphones are packed with cool features while still maintaining quality sound (note: I wouldn't consider it audiophile grade but they are wireless so that point is sort of moot anyway) The touch sensitive controls are intuitive and take maybe 10 minutes to get the hang of. Only downside is, is that in the winter when you are outside wearing gloves, you can't use them unless you take your glove off--though buttons are kind of impossible to push with gloves on anyway. They connect super quick to my phone via Bluetooth and they don't leak very much sound even at higher volume (and what does leak is basically covered by the outside environment. Big plus for me as I don't want to be that guy on the train bothering everyone around me with my music. As an added bonus these headphones look GREAT. Functional, fashionable, and all around a solid pair of cans.

I had Bose QC35 and QC25. This is by far a better headphone. Its easy to use and very convenient if you need to talk or listen without noise cancel. The music is much better than Bose. I happy I gave this s shot.

The sound on these headphones is really clear, and the noise cancellations pretty good especially if you use the noise cancellation optimizer on the side of the headphones, which merely requires you to hold it down a few seconds. It may not be optimal for very loud environments as the volume nor the base get so high that it could overpower a crowded gym the way a pair of Beats Studio Wireless' could do. You also have to be careful with increasing the volume on the side of the headphone, as the headphones have a habit of pausing, even with the best of gestures. They are aesthetically pleasing, especially in a very austere way, and have a very cool feature of allowing you to turn off the sound merely by placing a hand on the right headphone, something that would be useful for both airplane rides and crossing the street.

Best headphones ever. I saw these headphones being given away as a gift on The Ellen Show and I went to price them and they were $400 at the time. I checked back a few months later and they were on sale for &300. I brought them and the sound quality is amazing

Wireless at it's best with noise cancellation that bests the Bose QC35. I happen to think it's nicer than the Bose QC35 which my spouse uses. They are both fantastic, but I have to say the features and sound on the Sony 1000x is fantastic! I had trouble with the model in the store creaking, but after several weeks I haven't heard any of that on mine. I fear the store model was shop worn. Highly recommended! I have used these on a cross country flight and found they worked flawlessly. So far I've only charged it one time and it's lasted longer than I would have suspected. I chose the black model.

I purchased these headphones for my boyfriends birthday he absolutely loves them they work great to cancel out background noise and the quality is better but than his beats. Perfect for the gym or everyday. I asked for a pair for Christmas for myself

The noise cancellation is extremely powerful on these, needs an adjustment. It’s so aggressive it left me feeling dizzy for weeks after a trip, using them during a 4 hour flight. The sound and quality of construction is top notch, but I’d still give Bose qc the nod in terms of long term noise cancellation without negative drawbacks.

This was by far my best experience with noice cancelling headphones. The features are also great, like covering the right channel to temporarily cancel the noise cancel. Love them! Could not hear the crying baby on a 10 hour flight to Amsterdam.

Initially purchased to keep the noise of the airport and plane out, then realized they worked well with my Samsung 8 phone. They synced super easily and made it possible to hear conversations with ease. I would recommend to anyone who travels.

I travel extensively for my job and these headphones are incredible while on flights and in the office. The noise canceling is as good as anything on the market and there sound quality is the best in a wireless noise cancelling headphone.

The battery life is incredible, the noise canceling wonderful ( flights to and from Vegas and Orlando and very little got through), and comfortable.

Blocked out mower noise while listening to music. I did not have to turn my music up to hear over the lawn mower. Still gives you the ability to turn off or override noise cancellation and answer the phone if necessary. Really cool product!

Purchased these headphones just before a trip/flight. I couldn't hear a single crying child or loud passenger on the plane. I was able to enjoy my music and inflight movie without any interruptions. Exactly what I was looking for!

These are the best wireless noise canceling headphones out now. Long battery life and the touch controls are great. Sony never disappoints
