I bought it because my pioneer elite is Kia, lightning or a power surge took out my pioneer. It was an open item and I couldn't pass up the price just over $200. I really wanted a yamaha but was not available and the Yamaha was twice the price! So I bought it. Set up was so simple. The audio is ok. I have it hooked up to some Klipsch towers and sound fine. I'm not really blown away by sound . I guess because I've owned Yamaha before and the Pioneer Elite had more bells and whistles. But I can't complain I didn't really expect a whole lot from it.

Purchased this to replace aging home theater amp/receiver (also Sony). Set-up was straight forward, sound is great, spatial effects crisp and clear. Would have preferred in box manual. Very happy with price/performance.

The Sony - 1015W 7.2-Ch. 4K Ultra HD and 3D Pass-Through A/V Home Theater Receiver is a great receiver with many useful functions. The quality is excellent and the setup process is pretty easy and straight-forward. I highly recommend this receiver.

Okay, there are more expensive Home Theater Receivers out there. Why pay more? This receiver fills my basement family room with sound from the TV, DVD, and (a fantastic bonus) bluetooth! This receiver was easy to set up, connect with my devices, and is a true joy to listen to!

I love this receiver. Surround sound works great when watching movies or just live TV. Really like that I can attach BluRay player, Media player and PS4 to the receiver and only use 1 HDMI slot on my TV.

Pros:True HD surround? Check. 4K and 3-D compatible? Check. Bluetooth connectivity for smart phone control? Check. 4 HDMI inputs? Check. Cons: Lackluster remote. Specifically the lack of a dedicated TV on/off button. This receiver is packed with features for a shade under $250. You can get more with their mid level offerings, but this amount of functionality is staggering at this price point. Perfect for anyone's first home theater.

Nothing fancy about this, makes everything connected easily. I only wished it had on board programing instead of on TV. I have it as a sound receiver for all music, no videos, had to connect to TV for certain options selection.

I liked both wireless or wired connection options, I can take advantage of Bluetooth as well as several options for setting up my speakers. For me I have ceiling speakers in my game room as well as speakers in the den. Using the on screen menu is a breeze.

I've had great results with this receiver with my surround sound system. I really like the quality and ease of use of playing music through the system from my phone via Bluetooth. Excellent receiver.

I took other products back. But these, are truly keepers. The sound is fantastic!! I am far from being a technical genius, but managed to hook it all up. The sound quality is definitely great without having to break the bank. And, I can add to it.

I picked this up to replace my Denon receiver, it was showing signs of shorting out. This was a quick and easy swap out. But the actual setup was a bit more than I was use to. You need to turn on the sub output, instead of it being on automatically. There is a auto volume option, don't use it. The idea is, it keeps all volume at the same level, but what it ends up doing is making everything louder than it should be. I found myself constantly turning up or down the volume, depending on the input I was watching. The sound quality seems off at times. Comparing my music from the Denon receiver to this one, the Denon wins. But watching TV or movies, or games, the sound is fine. For the price and the options it has, not sure you can beat it.

Solid, sleek Sony receiver that is easy to set up and sounds great. Can do a lot. SongPal app cute. 268 page manual will take some time to get through. Bluetooth worked flawlessly. iPhone and iPad connection was a snap.

Wow, what a great price I got for a Sony - 1015W 7.2-Ch. 4K Ultra HD and 3D Pass-Through A/V Home Theater Receiver. Around $260, you cannot beat it for the price without sacrificing Quality.

My old Technics receiver finally died and I replaced it with this Sony receiver. This is a great value for the money loaded with a lot of features that you can only get on higher end receivers. It sounds great. I would recommend this receiver.

Having to replace an old receiver that died after 8 years. Found this. Easy to set up and use. Has more than enough power to drive my 5.1 system with room to expand in the future. Easy to change settings on the fly. And great clarity.

What can I say. This amp does it all. The option of using HDMI for all the inputs makes installation a breeze. Calibration was fast and easy and the sound quality is excellent.

After looking through a couple of different receiver for the speakers I purchased I saw that the Sony receiver had all the features I needed without breaking the bank. Easy to set up as well (if you know what your doing)
