I purchased this Sony soundbar over a Bose only because the only helpful staff recommended it. Happy with it so far and was very easy to set up. Sound is good for what my needs are. Wireless and not a bunch of speakers. Has a subwoofer for bass but really can only tell the difference when watching movies on Netflix. I like the functions for movies, music and voice dialogue which operates easily from the remote. It serves my purpose. I’m basically a Sony man anyway.

Small but mighty! Doesn't take up a lot of space but delivers clear sound that fills the whole room, and we have a very large living room.

We got this system because we didn't really want to invest in an entire surround sound system. We slid the subwoofer under our couch and its soooo cool when an intense scene comes on, you can feel the vibration from the bass. It's not excessive, it's subtle, but that has made our movie-watching experiences a lot more enjoyable. The sound quality and intensity from the speaker is great, too. It doesn't seem like its "screaming" at you. I would highly recommend this. For the price, the quality is amazing.

Sound is great for tv. Compact size is perfect. However, the blue tooth option when playin from iPhone or iPad constantly cuts out. Super annoying. I would purchase another if it didn’t have that issue. I ended up purchasing an LG for upstairs and the blue tooth has no interference. But I also got this on sale , if I had paid full price it would’ve been returned.

I was thrilled to find a compact sound bar since my TV location was not large enough for the others I tried. And it even came with a wireless subwoofer!! Easy to set up and use. Great sound!!

For a small living room with little area to allow for large speaker boxes to be placed this set up is great! The sound bar itself slides right under the bottom of our tv, and the subwoofer fits into the lower shelf of our tv stand. Whether we’ve watched sports, night time television, or movies the sound has been more than sufficient for the size of the room. If a shelf in the tv stand isn’t an option, the subwoofer is wireless allowing the user the ability to slide the subwoofer under a couch or chair, or stand it vertically between furniture. With different settings to optimize the sound quality. Perfect for a smaller living room with average height ceilings.

The smaller size of this unit is very nice. Descent sound for what it is. The different modes are helpful. Need to figure out how / if it can work with one of my other remotes so I don't have to use 2 or 3 different remotes.

I am very impressed with this sound bar system it is very clear & has precise sound. Excellent for the extra room the subwoofer is great. Simple to set up. Great quality. Will consider Sony in any future purchases Went to pickup a Samsung Sound bar but it wasn't available

Couldn't be happier for the price. Literally took longer to unbox than it did to pair it to my phone and use it. Super easy to pair with my Iphone. Great sound for the price. Can be easily transported from room to room, or taken to a friends house. I dig it.

This is a great little sound bar. We have installed this hidden in a nook above our fireplace with the wireless subwoofer hidden under the couch. It fills our whole house with music despite its small size. Bluetooth connects easily and the remote works great too.

This is my first sound bar ever and i will never go back! This product looks great, sleek and the sound is super sharp. It was very easy for me to set up and link to my Sony TV and bluetooth to my phone for music playing. I would definitely recommend this item.

I give it 4 stars for price and quality and the sound it puts out it could be a five star if it just popped Popcorn and dispensed drinks. That would make The movie experience amazing haha

I only needed something for a smaller space and not overly expensive. Setup was pretty easy and had it working within 30 minutes. Paired with my phone easy enough also. Liking it so far.

A few weeks ago I went into my Best Buy store intent on getting a budget bluetooth speaker we could use for both listening to music from our phones, and as a supplemental speaker for our 28" Samsung smart TV. I like Samsung TV's, but good sound quality seems to be a consistent problem for even their larger screens, and understanding dialogue is often problematic. I figured I'd find something with very impressive sound on sale at Best Buy with a little patience. I first picked up a UE Megaboom on a great special, but ended up being quite disappointed by both volume and sound quality despite some great reviews. WIthout going into that further, I returned the UE Megaboom to Best Buy after looking for another special on something a little bit better that would work with the outputs on my Samsung TV. I really didn't want to spend more than $150.00, but finally realized that was probably just a little too low for truly great sound and all the other features needed. I found something for about $200 on sale, and went into the store to try it out, ready to buy. I was grateful for the technical competence of the personnel there, because they quickly made me realize the one I was interested in wouldn't work with the optical output on my Samsung. This Sony was on sale, and only about $50 more than what I came in to spend. We live in a large tiny house, and space is a major consideration for anything we add. Most soundbars are about 35" wide, but at 20" wide this one fit our needs for an existing shelf. And the compact subwoofer can be used under our sofa, so doesn't take up any unnecessary space. Transitioning between phone music and TV sound is very easy, especially with the provided remote. And this Sony doesn't drop the Bluetooth signal at all. The UE Megaboom had tended to drop the signal occasionally, which was annoying. People have commented on the lack of more equalizer control with this Sony, but quite frankly we're satisfied with the couple of pre-sets designed into the unit. We usually use the MOVIE setting when watching TV, and the MUSIC setting for listening to Amazon Music or Pandora. And my wife is delighted with the richess of the sound....not even critical of what I ended up spending despite us being on a tight budget (We’re both retired). Music is important to her too. :-) I don't feel bad about spending $249.99 for this quality sound. After reading reviews and Googling for sales for weeks....and listening to a lot of speakers in stores.....I finally accepted that I was going to have to cough up a little extra for the sound quality I wanted. And since it was a great sale, I even ended up buying the extended Geek Squad warranty. The sales guy alleviated my concerns about "Will Best Buy even be here in 4 years with all the retail chains going under?" He explained a lot about how Best Buy is meeting the challenge of the Amazon juggernaut and other factors in the new economy....explanations which were reinforced when I went to read about Best Buy in the financial pages. Having worked with a company doing LED lighting retrofits, I am only too aware of how voltage transients can come out of nowhere and damage circuit boards. I have the comfort of knowing that if my speaker stops working for any reason in the next 4 years....the Geek Squad will either repair or replace it. I had stopped going to Best Buy for a few years, because I’d picked up the idea that they were a little too expensive considering the deals I could get online; but with price matching….brick and mortar locations for convenience…..and knowledgeable salespeople…..I will start haunting their aisles a little more frequently.

I am absolutely shocked by how well this sounds. We purchased this after we returned a Sonis and a Bose system that we felt wasn't worth the money and honestly, the TV speakers sounded better. We didn't have much hope considering how much we just spent on the two other systems but we thought we'd give it a try anyway. We got home, easily hooked it up and put the subwoofer under our couch. We were blown away by the sound quality of not just the movies we watched but also sports and everyday TV channel surfing. Could not be happier.

Wasn’t sure when I purchased if I would keep but from day one I loved it! Turned tv speakers all the way down and only use this it’s great with mobile phone also sound was great!!

This is a good sound bar for the money. Quite amazing that a small device can create such a big sound. Setup is easy and will pair to my smartphone via Bluetooth to play music.

I needed a small speaker for my living room in my apartment. I don't want a speaker which will produce more sound and more bass. I needed a small compact speaker which will produce great sound and bass. Researched a lot finalized between Sony MT300B and Bose Solo 5. My initial choice was Bose Solo 5 then went to Best Buy did a sound quality test on first. After the test my choice changed and bought the Sony. I am happy with the purchase currently using it regularly for watching movies in my living room and for playing songs

I love the small, sleek design of the soundbar and woofer. The slim design of the woofer allows it to be placed almost anywhere. This sound overall, while very good, does not blow me away. It is no substitute for a good 5.1 system.

Amazing sound quality it fills the room with sound and it the best for playing movies and games the clarity is as if your there. Compared to others at best buy and this topped the rest as far as price and quality sony is th best
