Nice Soundbar!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This soundbar is nice and compact; the sub is not very wide at all, almost as thin as a couple of large boos, which, while making easy to hide in your room, obviously limits the amount of bass response you will get. The sound bar itself is also nice and compact, and, if you are looking to improve your sound in a smaller room, this would be perfect for you. Its defiantly not for a large home theater set up, but in our kitchen/eating area, it sounds great!

Horrible sound quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I figured this sound bar would have better quality sound than it did. It was priced at $199, which is way too high. It sounds no better than my TV's speakers,so I ended up returning it and buying a different brand.

Not good.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought I’d get a blasting sound for $199. You can barely hear subwoofer. Not even there. Sound bar sounded thin. I return and replaced with a receiver which I am very happy with.

I really wanted to love this ...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unfortunately, when in use, the subwoofer would sporadically make a loud popping sound. I should have thoroughly read the provided reviews prior to purchasing. Product was returned.

Soft Design, perfect for small areas
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The easiest install and set up I have ever done of a sound unit. Unpacking the unit and having set up was extremely simple. The Sub was already paired to the soundbar, so all that I needed to do was hook up the optical cable to the TV, and place my cell phone on top the soundbar to connect them through nfc, and that was it, the music started playing automatically. The sound is ok, if the area you are placing the unit is 18 x 20 you will have the evolving and surround sound effect, more than that is lacking of power, it is 100w, which works fine in not to big areas, so it is great for small apartment or studios. Basically the unit has 3 ways of external ports, Analog Stereo input jack, optical, and USB. Sadly it doesn’t have a HDMI port. Wireless Connection is Bluetooth. The design is elegant, with round corners, and a slim subwoofer design, which allow me to placed it under the shelf where the subwoofer was on top. The remote comes with different great features, like filtering the voice, or night mode. Watching movies like Rogue 1 was surprisingly pleasant, I can enjoy the bass and the effects, even if this unit has only 2 speakers. DIMENSIONS: -Sound Bar 19 5/8" long, 4 1/8" wide, 2 3/32" tall -Subwoofer 14 5/8" long, 3 11/16" wide, 14 15/16" tall I am glad that Sony includes the optical cable with the unit. I think Sony could include more indicators on the front, like the volume level for example or an hdmi port, which is a standar nowdays.

Best Buy and Sony disappointing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was told if I buy the same brand sound bar it would work perfectly and I could use one remote. Neither is the case. Created echoing in even the tv speaker since installing.

Sounds better in the store
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sorry to say, but his sound bar didn't live up to the Sony name. After trying to get sound better than my tv speakers, I returned it and got a Bose - 100% better.

Overall a decent system
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't used a soundbar before, but definitely wanted to get one for my bedroom to increase the quality of sound from my TV when listening to movies and music. This soundbar has nice highs and blends the sound pretty well for a device this small. The bass subwoofer leaves a bit to be desired, but I don't really care to create a dance club atmosphere in my bedroom. The remote controls every aspect of this soundbar from volume of the subwoofer, switching from TV to usb, etc. I found that to be a great feature. Setup was extremely easy and included the optical cable to connect to my TV or cable box. I wish it had at least one HDMI input, but given that optical is still a digital signal, I am content with it at this price point. All in all, I would consider this to be an entry level soundbar with decent sound, but lacking some features, such as HDMI and better quality bass subwoofer, but I would still recommend this for areas like a bedroom/study or to supplement additional speakers in your sound system.

Soundbar AND Subwoofer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Disclaimer: I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review of the product. I'm no cinephile or audiophile, by any means. I'm content with my TV speakers when watching TV or movies. My parents actually have an external sound system for their TV, and the bass for regular TV watching actually kind of bothers me. I finally hooked this product up today after moving, and the directions could've been clearer to set it up. I did everything that I thought I was supposed to, and it still wasn't working right, and the instructions say to refer to the manual, but the manual didn't have troubleshooting for the issue I was having. Finally, after playing around with settings on both my Insignia LED and the soundbar for a few minutes I was able to get it set up and working. The sound quality is very clear, and I definitely prefer it to the set up my parents have. I knocked off a star for the difficulty installing.

Nice compact sound bar
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a compact soundbar to complement our big new 4K tv and this does the job. I was able to find an open box item for $175 but I think it’s worth $250 if you can still find it at that price. $350 is a stretch. It’s a huge improvement over the tv speakers and sounds really clear when I watch movies and sports etc. I love the sim profile of both components. I guess the bass could be stronger but I think it’s fine. Super easy setup. Nothing confusing or anything. All in all it was exactly what I needed for a smaller space, ie not our main entertainment area.
