Bought this soundbar and wireless subwoofer from a Best Buy in Salem, OR. I was super close to buying it, when a rep offered to through in a free Sony Bluray player. I swooped it up! The great part about a soundbar system like this is the ease of setup and ability to access it through bluetooth. I am using it in my small man cave and it fills the room easily. Love using it with my cell phone to play music while I'm using my mac to work/surf the internet. Great Buy!

Despite the fact that I live in a small apartment, the speakers on my TV weren't doing the job. I often had to crank up the volume to almost the highest position. So I decided to look into a sound bar. I had done some research and didn't want to spend too much $$, but the young man that worked at Best Buy played different sound bars for me so that I could hear the difference. He then directed me to a great product that was on sale for $150 off. I was a happy camper.

Pros: sound quality is excellent and impressive, was easy to setup. Cons: always need to go into tv setup and turn off tv speaker and change to audio system, not sure why. The optical cable is hooked up and the tv is a Sony Bravia. The tv doesn't have a HDMI for audio out. ;(.

Extremely easy to set up, and the sub woofer "almost" matches the quality and "UMPF" of my $1,000 Klipsch floor speakers... Great buy, at a great discount before Christmas!

Just what I was looking for. Use it in the bedroom where sound was bad. Works perfectly!

its great value for money and it works perfectly with my TV , i have built in Roku TV and it sync with the tv so i can use only the TV remote to control the volume

Sony and Samsung are my favorite brands and never fail to satisfy my needs. I returned this item because I no longer needed it but overall these speakers blast.

This sound bar has great, defined sound, wonderful bass and a low profile that fits under the picture on our TV. Super simple set-up makes this a real bargain!

Just like with most Sony products, this soundbar sounds great with movies and music, I just wish the volume went louder as I like to listen to music really loud

I'm not exactly technically savy, so I was expecting trouble getting this started, and finished. I happy to report I had little trouble. (aside from getting a HDMI cable that wasn't long enough. Produces great sound, AND connects with my phone via Bluetooth to play my music as well. I didn't want the multiple speaker-receiver, but I needed better sound than just the speakers in the TV. This does that perfectly!!

Overall very balanced sound but bass could be a little stronger. I like the flat design and the subwoofer is not so bulky so that's a plus. Sill, I have sound bars with stronger bass in the house but I keep this one on my mail TV set because I like the sound quality and the balanced sound. Don't expect super high quality but definitely great for everyday use and even some music.

I bought this system when I upgraded my TV. It was money well spent. I believe I got the benefit of a sound bar and woofer for a very reasonable price.

I bought a Samsung soundbar to go with a Sony Bravia XBR850 65 inch TV that I had just bough. In all honesty I really just wanted the soundbar to hide the wires and had no idea about the sound. I first bought a Samsung soundbar that did not have HDMI control... this means that when I change the volume on the TV it does not change the volume on the soundbar, you use another remote for that or program your DVR remote. I did not like that so I brought it back and bought this Sony with HDMI volume control. This made me happy, but not as happy as the great sound that comes out of it. Thus the title "You need a soundbar", it is a different world. This soundbar from Sony is great and I would recommend it but I would tell you that if I had not thrown away the box after I installed it I would have taken it back and bought a better one. It's not that this is not nice, it's because this is 3 times better than my TV speakers and they sell another one that I have been looking at that is twice as good as this one. Of course you start to run into real money on the top end but it can be your entire stereo system as well. So I did not know that I needed one for the TV to reach a new level of sound, but now I do. I did not know that this would displace my stereo system, and now that I know that I would buy up as much as you can and enjoy it... these are great products to own.

I paired this with my new Sony 850D Bravia TV. It practically set itself up. I initially had issues with the sound bar not coming on when i turned on the TV, but it was a simple fix after reading the manual. The wireless bass speaker isn't as noticeable when watching TV, but when watching a movie... there it was! I've had the TV and sound bar for 6 weeks, and i'm loving it.
