I am amazed at all the features that are packed into this space saving design. It is everything I was looking for in a replacement to my frustrating AV receiver. And I was blown away by the superior sound quality of this unit - it sounds so much better than my old 5.1 surround sound system.

I have a sony 4k Tv and it links up perfectly, the bass is great and surround sound works well. I am able to use different options to play music.

I reviewed this product once and gave it 5 stars. This is an addendum notice that contains important connection data that drove me nuts for weeks to the point where I nearly returned the soundbar. LONG story but DO NOT use this unit with a surge suppressor! No, I didn't use a $10 cheapo surge suppressor, I used a $200 Brick Wall 2RAUD audiophile suppressor. The surge suppressor will disconnect the sound bar signal from the TV. That epiphany came after a weeks long exchange with the Sony tech department who are REALLY good. It took them a little while to identify my issue and once they did, the sound bar worked perfectly. Hope this helps if you are wits end with formerly inexplicable connection problems and sound drop outs in a situation that includes an inline surge suppressor. Interestingly, a surge suppressor on my FiOS power line did the same thing to my FiOS signal - it randomly disconnected the signal and caused video dropouts. Input from an electrical engineer would be appreciated.

Was looking for a Sound Bar with a wireless Subwoofer and was not wanting to spend too much for one. I already have a Surround Sound system so this was just for normal movie and TV watching. Easy to setup, great bass, and great sound. Flexible as you can put the Subwoofer anywhere. Love it!!!

The salesman who helped us pick out the TV we bought highly recommended this soundbar and I am glad we listened, it has really made watching TV a joy as the whole room can now hear equally instead of everyone having a different opinion of whether the sound need to be turned up or down!!

Soundbar and wireless subwoofer delivers great quality sound. Easy to set up and looks great mounted under wall mounted tv. Instructions could use some work but anyone with minimal AV knowledge can get it up and running. Like the option of adding rear speakers if we decided to do so.

Good quality sound. I thought it'd sound a little louder but it lacks some "juice". Next time I'll try the higher Watt output bar soundbar system!!!!

Found this sound bar in an open box special. I noticed it was not the entry level sound bar but it was an entry level price, so I hopped on it. I wasn't shopping for a sound bar and didn't know what to expect. Hooked up easy and my bedroom tv sounds great, but what really surprised me was when I ran my music from my phone via Bluetooth. Music is powerful, loud, and sounds great. I have gotten away from my stereo system with big speakers and components over the years and have just enjoyed music with earbuds for convenience. Now I'm considering a higher level sound bar for living room to enjoy my music throughout my home.

This system provides great sound for a smaller space where a 5:1 system would not fit.

For the price this speaker is sold at, you'd be hard pressed to find a soundbar system of better quality and feature set. This soundbar will essentially replace your entire home audio receiver system and effectively integrate all your audio devices into one system. Good buy!

Good sound system. Makes TV watching more pleasurable. Price is a bit high but if able to get a discount i.e. open box etc highly recommend

I purchased this item (HTCT790) on a recommendation from a Best Buy sales associate, to replace a Polk Audio Sound Bar IHT5000 that I felt didn't deliver what I expected from a Sound Bar. Installation was very easy. Software updates were seamless. Three HDMI inputs and one HDMI output on the Sound Bar easily connected to an Xbox One, Sony Blu-Ray Player, and DirectV Satellite Box to a Samsung Plasma TV... The performance of the Sound Bar was beyond expectations. FYI...Check out the BlueTooth feature on the Sound Bar which broadcasts the sound to a BlueTooth headset. This was a surprise feature that is highly welcome, especially for night time listening. I would highly recommend this product. Thanks,

Sound output is decent. Definitely better than most built in TV speakers. This is not a high power home theatre product though. I keep the subwoofer turned all the way up and it delivers decent punch in movies. Will work as 5.1 system if paired with compatible sony rear speakers. Music sounds ok as well. Built in chromcast is nice when it works but can be finicky. Usually just unplug and plug back in will solve most problems.

Within two months of purchasing the sound bar it broke. I had to send in for repair rather than get a exchange was without the sound bar for 60 days shame on you Best Buy

I have a Sonos system, which is awesome, if you want to spend that kind of money, but for around $300, you can't beat this system.

Sony lives up to it's reputation, once again, a very nice addition to our home theatre. For the price, it was an excellent choice.

This is a good unit for a small room, in a large room the volume will not go loud enough but in a small room it sounds real good.

I'm really satisfied with this product. The Bluetooth connect is perfect for playing music from my hand held devices and it boosts the soun on my tv. I feel like I'm in the theater when I'm watching movies. BUY IT; YOY WII BE VERY HAPPY WITH YOUR PURCHASE.

I'm using this Soundbar to connect my Lapttop to my living TV and also for streaming Spotify. The sound is good with a deep Bass.

I bought the soundbar because the sound on my 65" Samsung is just not very good. This was supposed to help, but honestly, it only helps a little. I still have to have it turned way up, but the sound is somewhat clearer and less distorted than the volume on the TV. When you DVR a show, however, the sound bar is not on so the sound is not enhanced. Overall, I am disappointed. I would return it but it is mounted now.
