I know this isn't a complete surround sound device but honestly I expected more. It syncs up great with my Sony TV but doesn't turn on automatically when I turn on my TV. I was kind of hoping it would. It does turn off at the same time and it does recognize other linked hdmi items I have connected. I just wish it had a little more volume. Maybe I'll buy the other wireless speakers for the rear that complete the set.

Very happy with this soundbar system and subwoofer. Wasn't sure which brand I was going to choose, but the sound quality of these items is clear and room filling.

I absolutely love the sound that I get from this soundbar, my only complaint is that you have to purchase the surround speakers separately and they can easily add $400.00 to the total cost of the device. That being said, the cost is worth it, IMHO.

Compared this set to many others and this is by fa one of the best on the market now. It's literally better sound than you'd hear in the movies! Voices are so crisp and clear, sound fx are loud and make you feel like your really a part of the action!

Good sound quality as long as it is mounted properly. Other wise it is hard to hear without the extra speakers attached to it.

This thing sounds amazing. The look is great but the sound is amazing. I previously had a Samsung soundbar and this blows it out of the water. I plan on getting 2 of the wireless add on speakers to setup with this beast. I would highly recommend.

Feature rich and high quality. Connectivity options galore. Best connected via HDMI ARC but works fine otherwise (mine is connected via non-ARC HDMI to my Bravia). Sound is very good but not great. Since it is 2.1, surround sound is noticeable but can be enhanced with a pair of compatible surround speakers. It has plenty of bass and is loud but not "party" loud. As others have mentioned it has a sloped front. This means that you cannot see the display well and sound is partially directed upwards unless it is wall mounted. Nevertheless, mine is sitting on a shelf below the Bravia and I do not feel compelled to use the included wall mounts. In summary, this feature-rich system works great and it is compact enough to be heard but not seen. This greatly appeals to the better half who would be annoyed by surround speakers. I am very happy with my purchase.

Great sound. I purchased when it was on sale, excellent price. I listened to approximately 10 sound bars and this was by far was the best. I use it in my bedroom for television and music. I mostly listen to music and this was better than expected.

I purchased this sound bar after moderate on-line research and about an hour of comparison listening in the showroom. It looked like a very good value for the dollar, but after struggling with it for two weeks at home I finally returned it. The product turns out to have, for me, a fatal software flaw. On startup, it automatically switches to the USB input rather than the HDMI input connected to my cable box. I initially blamed my Logitech Harmony remote but discovered that the behavior was the same using the remote supplied with the soundbar. I found other user complaints about the same issue on the Sony support site and elsewhere. Sony's only advice was to update the software, which I had already done. All electronics in my house are required to be "wife-ready", so back it went. Otherwise, the unit lived up to my expectations. Lots of features (a few too many for me), and adequate sound. Having hearing aids, I am no longer able to judge sound quality with any confidence, but could make out dialogue very well and liked the way my music sounded through the system. If Sony ever fixes their software, it's a good buy.

Great sound, both movies and music sound great. Bluetooth feature is great and the fact that you can add speakers is great!

So far so good. It will not connect with direct tv remote, but was informed it is probably because it is an older model

The soundbar was a great purchase. Good for a smaller room but the sound quality is clean the sub Booms. I'm pleased.

This soundbar was easy to setup right out of the box. Spent a little time getting it to work with my cable remote, although you still need the Sony remote to get to most functions. The sound, as expected, is superior to the television speakers.

Sound is very good, but had to find the correct placement in my living room. Great sound with 4K compatible movies.

Very happy with this product. Only thing I would change is to have a little higher volume range, but it's still very good.

Replaced my Polk with this Sony unit. Went with this to match my other units and it had a great sound. Very pleased

This product has great sound. The voices are clear as well as the bass has good lows. Good sound system for the price.

Awesome sound bar, bought with a great TV to go with it. Sound goes through the entire house for everyone to hear.

Let me start off by saying that it's worth the money. I hate fumbling around for remotes, trying to find which one clontrols the volume and which one turns the tv on. With this sound bar, that's gone. It's great, you can power the tv, change the inputs, and control the volume on one remote. All of that being said, the sound quality is amazing. It fills the room with high fidelity sound. It perfectly compliments my 4K TV set up and makes gaming and movie watching a treat.

4K TVs these days are so slim that you can't buy one without getting some sort of speaker solution. The Speakers on the TVs are just not great considering you are buying a premium TV, spend the extra 300 (which Amazon has it listed for and BB will match), and get an audio solution that comes with the Soundbar and a nice Speaker/Sub. It also acts as a HDMI input allowing you to control audio and Inputs, plus giving you the ability to have up to 6 HDMI 2.0 Inputs on your TV (most have 4, including the ARC input which is where you plug the soundbar). and there are 3 on the Soundbar so 6 total. Both come with Wallmounting solutions but work fine without it. I found a 25 dollar wallmount on Amazon for this TV that's VESA compatible. and the SB comes with the mounts. Overall a MUST purchase if getting a 4K and/or HDR TV.
