It could be that I have never gotten it configured correctly. The quick connect instructions are little more than graphics. The manual does not clearly explain various options. A call to the help line posed communication problems. My biggest disappointment is that my brand new Sony sound bar is not compatible with my brand new Sony 55" Bravia TV so controlling my sound bar from my TV through sync does not work.

The setup and graphical interface are quite good. It's very easy to use and adjust. Using the HDMI ARC, the TV recognized it and transferred sound for TV speakers to sound bar. I return this item after problems with the TV so I have to rate it average. If the problems were with the TV (Sony Tech support never figured out the problem) then this s a very good sound bar.

I love the fact that you can add more speakers to this system throughout your entire home. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Very happy with the purchase.

Bass speaker is not loud enough

It is too quiet to give a nice full effect in the living room. It improves the sound somewhat; however, it is too much money for the moderate improvement to the TV speakers.

It comes with HDMI but I bought the optical cable because I didn't want it taking up a spot. Couldn't access the menus and so couldn't update or pair speakers. Eventually plugged in hdmi (has to say ARC on it too) and it worked and I put the optical cable in. But now anytime I want to update I have to plug in hdmi channel. Its also not that loud. I have a older sony that is much better
